Breakfast Menu 11/2025

We walked in and there weren't any customers yet. There was a really pleasant scent in the restaurant but it wasn't food. There is a scent booster that smells like you're walking into a hotel lobby but we still decided to order and glad we did. We came for the breakfast burrito but decided to also get a couple tacos. They have options of bacon, chorizo, veggie and asada. We chose a bacon breakfast burrito, chorizo and potatoes taco and an egg and bacon taco. I appreciated how the refried beans and cheese mixed together in the burrito and also how the potatoes were sliced. The burrito had good flavor and nice textures. As for the tacos, the chorizo is house made and has a slightly sweet flavoring. I also really liked that it wasn't as salty as most chorizos are. The handmade tortillas for the tacos were really good and wonder if they can potentially do that for the burritos.

Great spot in Old Pasadena with fresh Mexican food. Tacos are excellent. Order at the counter or kiosks they bring it out to you either a basket of pickled red onions and salsa. Breakfast is served all day, they have different dishes like huevos rancheros and a variety of burritos.

So Friday night 6:30 place was pretty empty - I ordered a burrito Al pastor and my wife ordered a chicken bowl- it came in 5 minutes and wow was it good - the chicken bowl was nice chicken cooked well- my burrito was packed with so much flavor. Sauces were all pretty good, not too hot. Very large portion -

I was in Old Town Pasadena while my vehicle was being serviced and decided to get some lunch. I checked several places for their Yelp reviews and Taco Neza seemed to match up with a few of the reviews. I ordered the three taco option. I chose pastor, chicken in green chili and cochinito pibil (pulled pork). The tacos came in handmade corn tortillas (freshly made onsite) and were filled with plenty of protein. They certainly don't skimp on their portions. I got a bottle Mexican drink and I was happy. Each taco was unique with various toppings according to the protein. They were plated nicely on a small aluminum tray. I would definitely go back. The place is clean and inviting.

Food was tasty, service was quick, and area was clean! I noticed after the fact they had some house made drinks in the fridge which I would consider getting and also plan to come in to try the tacos. They had a variety of salsa options and good serving sizes. I'd recommend and would come back

The tacos de lengua were alright for the price I expected more flavor but that pieces of meat were decent chunks. The pastor was tasty. Service was decent. Average wait time. Not busy. Ambiance was okay music wasn't too loud and it was clean. It was a decent try but it was a first and last time for me. Thank you for your experience.

Saw there's a new taco place in Pasadena and decided to give it a try! Got the three taco plate (shrimp, pastor, and chicken mole). You order at the front and sit down wherever you want. The tacos are super fresh and super filling! My favorite is probably the chicken mole - it was seasoned perfectly and chicken is super tender. All of the ingredients taste fresh and balanced with the overall flavor. Salsas are on the side! Very clean and bright inside! Highly recommend!

Lengua cost.

The food here is modern Mexican and it tasted really good. Their green salsa is great. The cleanliness of the restaurant is nice. Bathroom is oddly huge and very clean. The man working the register was nice and brought our food to us with nice little caddy that had salsa, napkins, pickled radish, and utensils. We ate outside, street was a little loud, but nice to enjoy the summer sun. My only issue is the cost for their lengua tacos. It's a base price of $16.75. Then it says $3 for lengua, I thought $3 in total to whatever form you order, 2 tacos or 3 tacos. Ends up it's $3 Per taco. So a set of three lengua tacos is $25.75! That's a really high price point for me for three tacos, $7 each! See receipt.

Carne asada tacos with rice, beans and guacamole

Incredible tacos, period. I've had about half their tacos menu and have never been disapointed. Their order of 2 or 3 tacos is reasonably priced considering other places. I usually get two for $11.25 for lunch or 3 for $16.75 for dinner or weekends :) when I'm not going back to the office. Excellent tasting tortillas, I want to buy a dozen every time I'm here. We love Villa Tacos in Highland Park, but in Pasadena, this is my favorite taco spot. Their pastor, asada and tilapia are amazing. Their shrimp and chicken mole too. My other favorite thing about this place is their salsa and side of pickled onions. They are actually spicy and flavorful. Highly recommend.

This is a must try off of lake in Pasadena…read more Reliably good food every time I have been here. Chips and salsa with WARM chips. A to die for pork tomahawk. Amazing happy hour and I highly recommend the dos gringos. Every detail of that dish is made with thought and precision down to the proportions given and the wonderful crisp on the tortilla. Amazing deal! Be careful when ordering sparkling water because they'll bring you an overpriced bottle of sparkling water instead of just their fountain soda water without asking for clarification. I've made that mistake a couple times. Otherwise, I highly recommend Mercado; you can't really go wrong.

Our waiter Gianni's is amazing! Give that guy a raise. The guacamole had onions so I had to pass, and the entire table ate onions and I didn't - so didn't try it. However, the chips and salsa were delicious. The mushroom queso dip is divine. Delicious. Creamy. Addictive. Must order it. I ordered the fillet mignon tacos - they were flattened steak - I'd prefer chopped. Would give the taco more texture. No accompanying sauce - so used the salsa - very good. The avocado was too thick. The mashed potato's were forgettable. I get it - mashed potato's in a Mexican restaurant. But why not add a fusion gravy? Flan for dessert was out of this world. Churros were slightly undercooked. A solid Mexican spot in Pasadena. Would like to try more food options.

Happy Hour margs, need I say more?! Hard to believe that this restaurant is over 100 years old, not…read moremany establishments can say that. It is a real cornerstone of Pasadena dining, there is a love or hate feeling when you bring up this restaurant among locals. Chips and salsa is provided with orders so it is the perfect after work stop. They do have better the ability to make quality margaritas for full price which is almost 2-3 times happy hour but if you like mezcal it might be worth it for a more refined taste. Conveniently located by the 210/134 freeway entrances, it has it's own lot that says a lot for Pasadena establishments.

We got the plate of chile relleno with a beef enchilada, the mole plate and a kids quesadilla with rice and beans. 1. The chile in the chile relleno was soooo tiny, the battered egg was big and fluffy which is why it looks big. The rice was crunchy and had pieces of overcooked rice. The beef on the enchilada was on top of the enchilada NOT inside and it tasted like boiled beef with no flavor! I put it to the side. The inside just had a bit of shredded marble cheese. So disappointed. The beans were ok, restaurant quality, canned flavored. 2. The mole was very sweet and although that's not a bad thing, it still didn't have any kind of authenticity in the flavor it was as though it was just packaged sauce dumped on the chicken. 3. The kids quesadilla has bellpeppers and onions inside! Which was not disclosed on the menu. My kid likes bellpeppers but not the green ones and not in her quesadillas... come on. I had to pick them off. Over all I'm glad I live far away from here because it was really bad quality food. The service was nice and attentive. The ambiance was empty and almost abandoned... and I even went on a weekend.

Small joint but they have a few bar seats and picnic tables inside and a nice outdoor patio with more seating. They don't offer food but usually have a food truck outside. There is no food service at this location but they seem to partner with a couple food trucks serving tacos. Some inside open air seating but the main draw is the relaxing patio. I liked their hard seltzers with fun flavors as jicama, tamarindo and passionfruit. I didn't like so much their signature Yerba Mate Pale Ale, but thought it was an interesting concept. The happy hour special is Monday all day and Tuesday-Friday open until 6pm $2 off full pours. Very family friendly, I always see a couple tables with children and dogs at them. Maybe I'm getting to be an old fuddy duddy but I hate when parents let their kids go free range. Screaming and running around like the establishment is a park these kids becoming trip hazards. There needs to be a revamp of their board game collection. There three boxes of games that looked incomplete or used up, not good with such games as Scrabble and Pictionary. Free Wifi with log-in is a bonus!
