They said their dad comes here almost everyday, if that's not a good sign, I don't know what would be! When we came in the young man at the cash register was so friendly and welcoming. He helped us choose our order and answer any questions we had. While we were waiting he brought us some water and explained the differences in the hot sauces, so nice! The ambiance was very clean, homey, and welcoming. There was beautiful hand painted art on the walls and colorful tables. A beautiful, albeit smallish on the inside. Looking at their menu, they do offering catering if you have a large party! The wait was very short for the food and it was so good!! I got the loaded fries with everything and it was fresh, hot, and actually loaded down with meat beans cheese guacamole tomato and I also got jalapeño on mine. First Visit - A Disappointing Experience This was my first time visiting this restaurant, and unfortunately, the experience was more disappointing than enjoyable. The lady who took my order was very nice and provided friendly service, which was one positive part of my visit. I ordered the fried tacos served in a cup with lettuce and sour cream, along with two additional soft tortilla tacos. The soft tacos were underwhelming. They were bland and lacked the seasoning and flavor needed to make them stand out. The fried tacos had a fun and appealing presentation. They looked delicious and initially made me excited to try them. Unfortunately, the taste did not match their appearance. They had an unusual, almost chemical-like aftertaste that I found unpleasant, and the portions of meat were noticeably small. The strawberry agua fresca was the highlight of the meal. It was sweet, refreshing, and easily the best part of my visit. The atmosphere was also disappointing. The interior was fairly unremarkable, and the temperature made the experience even less comfortable. It was a warm day, the front door was propped open, and there did not appear to be any air conditioning running. The restaurant became so hot that I was sweating while trying to eat. Overall, I really wanted to enjoy this place, especially because the food looked promising. However, the bland soft tacos, unpleasant aftertaste of the fried tacos, small meat portions, and uncomfortable temperature made it difficult to have an enjoyable meal. Up front, I have only had their burrito, although multiple times. I have now reached my last visit. A burrito for $13.50 plus another $1.50 for payment other than cash is not worth the quality of the meat. I had had their Carne Asada and their El Pastor meats. The El Pastor the day I had it was sub par, but I only had that one time and with that dish, I think one try is not enough to pass judgement. The people working in the front are very nice. I just can't justify the price to the quality. This a local small hole in the wall place and the it is still the most expensive burrito in the area. Really? Instead I got two ketchup packets of tapatio and when I asked for more, I was handed one more packet that made 3 in total. Great thank you, because I love to ration my hot sauce. * The carne asada in my taco and burrito tasted like it was cooked prior then re-heated. However, at the end of my burrito it seemed to have fresh made steak at that point. * the carne asada in my taco and burrito just had absolutely no flavor. * My "Eat In" order combination came in a to-go box which is okay, but I literally got a spoon full of beans as a side. This spot has taken over as my go to for local tacos. It's pretty much like any taco shop but what makes it stand out are the Barbacoa tacos, larger and crispy and delicious. A must try if you come here. They hook you up with chips and beans. I really like the al pastor it's full of flavor. Burritos are solid and packed, they don't skimp on the meat.
