They make keto tacos and those were just as excellent. Fresh ingredients and so much flavor! I'm from the SF Bay Area, and we've got great taco spots too. So I feel like that says a lot about Tacos El Vampiro. If you're in the LA area this place is worth going to!

All of us were in the area and was thinking of an easy spot to grab dinner at. There was a group of…read moreus and we all came and found spots easily at the parking lot. The vampiros tacos was what I ordered and wow they were so delicious!!! They aren't like your ordinary tacos and this spot is family-owned and are authentic. I loved the grilled onions because they were tender and full of that fatty flavor from the grilled meats. The tortillas with the tacos were crunchy (that's the vampiro style) and I actually like soft tacos more but I loved these. The fresh salsas are always a necessity for me and I came back for more. They are on the side so you can easily grab them after ordering. For pricing, I wish they weren't so expensive at $3 a taco but I at least feel like they packed the tacos with enough meat and toppings. The vampiro fries were also pretty delicious and had a great amount of flavor. This spot also does catering which is cool! They are open everyday except for Mondays.

I can't believe I've lived in Sylmar for almost 6 years and somehow never noticed this little gem!…read more From the moment you walk in, it feels like you've escaped to a little beach town in Mexico. The atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming, and exactly where you want to be on a hot summer day. The seafood was incredibly fresh and refreshing. I ordered the campechana kora, and my husband had the Aguachiles, both were absolutely delicious and perfect for the heat. What really made the experience special was the staff. They were so kind, patient, and welcoming. My husband has been practicing his Spanish, and instead of making him feel self-conscious, they were incredibly encouraging and sweet with him. It made the whole meal feel even more authentic and enjoyable. Great food, wonderful service, and an atmosphere that makes you forget you're just minutes from home. I can't believe it took me this long to find Ceviches, but it definitely won't be six years before my next visit!

Parking was easy to find, which was a plus. The ambiance was casual, relaxed, and family-friendly. They have multiple TVs throughout the restaurant, and during my visit, they were showing a soccer game. I always like it when a restaurant broadcasts sporting events, even if it means the place sometimes gets very packed. I was really looking forward to trying their shrimp ceviche, but to my disappointment, they had run out by the time I arrived. I decided to go with my backup option instead: the camarones a la diabla. Camarones a la diabla is a dish consisting of shrimp cooked in a spicy red chile sauce. This restaurant also serves it with rice, toast, and a side of vegetables. As the name suggests, the shrimp are supposed to be spicy. As a spice enthusiast, I'm always on the lookout for the best spicy dishes. The shrimp were cooked well, but they had a sweet taste. It almost seemed as if they had used ketchup in the sauce to tone down the heat. I'm honestly not a fan of mixing sweet with spicy, at least when it comes to protein. The vegetables that came with the dish were soggy and flavorless. The rice was okay but could have been better. The toast was pretty good, it was buttery, garlicky, and crispy. Overall, this dish wasn't bad, but it also wasn't the best. The service during my visit was good. My server was attentive and helpful. He frequently stopped by to check if everything was okay. Overall, this experience didn't turn out exactly as I had expected, but it wasn't a bad experience by any means. I might return one day to try their shrimp ceviche.
