Food & drinks are wait too delicious, the staff I have to honest there's a few who ate allot more sweet and kinda than others. Great family friendly, a little bit of music playing on the background. One of my favorite places.

The parking lot is in back by the liquor store. It's a pretty open space. The presentation of the food was nice! The staff was nice also. We ordered the enchiladas trio, calamari & Botana Cielo Mar y Tierra. I liked the enchiladas which came with rice and beans. The calamari was so good and the green salsa that came with it. We weren't really a fan of the Botana Cielo Mar y Tierra. The shrimp was sooo tasty! The chicken had a snake texture or it was maybe Tyson chicken (iykyk) and the steak was cold. Happy hour starts at 3 PM-?

Haven't been here in awhile. This visit with family of 10 did not disappoint. There were a few tables full then filled up fast for Live Music. We had no idea, so, what a treat! Our servers were so kind and attentive. Drinks and food were served within a timely manner. Everyone was happy with their meals and drinks were on point. We'll be back next time we're in town. EAT HERE!

We went to Sylmar to see the amazing Nethercutt Museum, they had a list of recommended restaurants and El Tarasco was on the list. So we tried it out and really enjoyed our experience. My son had the chicken tacos and I had the beef taquitos, both were delicious. I asked for hot sauce. Expecting either Cholula or Tapatio, I was surprised with some excellent homemade tomatillo, with the just the right spiciness. I also loved the decor and art, nice paintings and wooden crosses. Another thing regarding ambience, I would say the acoustics are on the medium loud side, but the music was not too loud. Service was also great, all servers were friendly and checked on us frequently. I think this will be our yearly routine, visit the Nethercutt and then have lunch at El Tarasco!

Ep tarascos is a very well themed and detailed restaurant with beautiful art and style to its ambience. The food is very well portioned with to be honest major over portions how ever the food is excellent and delicious. The only downside is the menu not showing prices with it not showing prices I definitely feel unaware of how much I'm going to spend. The service is always good and they always make sure you are having refills

El Tarasco at 13039 Glenoaks Blvd, Sylmar, CA. We decided to try out El Tarasco in Sylmar, and I'm so glad we did! My wife and I are big fans of chilaquiles, and this place did not disappoint. We ordered both the red and green sauce chilaquiles, and they were absolutely delicious bold flavors, perfectly balanced spice, and topped with a piece of beef that was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The service was exceptional way beyond what we were expecting. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and even let us know that they have a live band every Friday to kick off the weekend. That's definitely a reason to come back! If you're in the area and love authentic, flavorful Mexican food they also carry all types of sea food with great service and a fun vibe, El Tarasco is a must visit. We're already planning our next trip back!

El Tarascó is a solid spot for Mexican food. I shared the molcajete with a friend--chicken, carne asada, queso, nopales, and chorizo in salsa. Super tasty. We also had two margaritas. Service was friendly but slow. Worth the wait for the food.

The menu features various dishes, including cheeseburger, DRAGON sushi, rib eye, and even tacos de pescado, ensuring everyone finds something enjoyable to eat. The quality of the dishes is acceptable: neither very tasty nor very unappetizing. As far as prices go, I would say they were reasonable considering the amount of food provided. However, one downside of this restaurant worth pointing out is that portions here are relatively small. Therefore, if you come here with your whole family, better make sure you're not too hungry since the portions won't be sufficient to feed everyone. To sum up, I think this is a great option if you are looking for a clean place where you can have a nice lunch or dinner and try different dishes. The service was somewhat slow. Even though the restaurant wasn't crowded, it did take some time to get seated. Moreover once we had placed our order it again took time for the food to arrive. However the food was still fresh.

Just happened to drop in on a Thursday Happy Hour so Sushi Rolls were 50% off. It was not busy being the early middle part of rush hour on the road. Was greeted and seated quick. The whole menu looks so exciting though the prices are a bit high, made it hard to decide what to try. I opted to try sushi this time around since I was solo. Rolls were good portioned not skimpy but I would opt for lighter rice if possible if planning to eat plenty. Sister Sister Roll came first. Sauce or onions or both combined made a strong bitter taste but good. The Albacore from top tasted good alone while the roll itself was good. Very often when I try latino fusion sushi the rice gets too sweetened or not at all. The rice tasted not sweetened but seasoned enough and still slightly warm with good texture. I believe they may have used some proper sushi rice here rather than just any rice. Then came the Agua Chile and Mango Habanero Roll. All three rolls came well garnished accordingly, maybe even heavy. Agua Chile had a fresh tart taste. Mango Roll was strong with the sweetness as good mango should. Server was frequent in checking on me, refilled my water before I even had to ask. No appetite for dessert this time around as I was on an empty stomach. The room had Latino music playing and multiple TVs. Elegant Decor without feeling too upscale. Definitely come with an appetite and another person. More to come after I try some entrees and cocktails.

Small place and only serving a very select few menu items during the week. Weekends is when there are more options / full menu. I got 2 pork tamales, 1 chicharron taco and 1 carnitas taco con todo. The carnitas by themself are decently cooked. The taco is served in a handmade tortilla that is super thick and dense. Im a fan of these style tortillas being a little more softer than this was. The taste of the masa is on point and great. The salsa that they equip in the taco is hot. Like almost habanero hot. Its almost unpleasant / inedible. The chicharron is just the skin and its smashed up into the salsa and pico de gallo that come with the tacos. Not much going on here and nothing great. Pork tamale was average. The size is on the smaller side or almost average. Carne to masa ratio is good. Masa taste is great. The meat and sauce is umami and deep but still your average flavors for red pork tamales.
