I loved the vegan list of options as I can't eat meat or cheese. My husband's entree was delicious too, but I cannot remember what it was. We were blown away with the flavor! Also, the ambiance is delightful. There was a live band, clean tables and great service. The food takes a while to come because they cook everything from scratch right after you order. Some of the reviewers were very discouraged because of this. But right on the menu, they say that it takes a while to make from scratch and I will have to say I don't care because it is the best food ever!! The servings are not as large as what you would get in a different Mexican restaurant, but the flavor makes up for the difference! We will continue to go!

They have really good daily specials too, and on Fridays they do $3 house margaritas! I tried one of those and really enjoyed it! For my entree I decided to try the Tequila Lime Pasta and it was good! Not to spicy and pretty flavorful! While I personally didn't have any issues, some of my friends did. At one point we needed our waitress so we could ask for more tortillas. It took a while and when she did come back, she told us there would be an up-charge for extra tortillas. The kitchen also forgot sour cream for someone. The portion sizes were good though, and the drinks were all delicious!

I typically enjoy Rancheritos Mexican Food, I prefer other locations over this one because this one…read morelacks consistency. I typically order the two crispy fried burritos I then cover half with red sauce and the other half with green. This usually makes for a cheap, filling, tasty meal. As I mentioned, consistency is the downfall. Some times the burritos are cooked perfect other times they are undercooked or greasy. I have tried other menu items including the Chile Verde Burrito, Asada, and the fried tacos but none have satisfied as well as the bean burritos.

Very Disappointing…read more Way overpriced and absolutely not worth it. The drive-thru took forever, and when we finally got our food, it was cold, old, overcooked, and had almost no flavor. My carne asada burrito had barely any cheese despite paying extra, and the meat tasted days old. My wife ordered a bean and cheese burrito, but they added rice and barely any cheese. Then there's a tip jar at the drive-thru after terrible service. Seriously? Tipping for handing someone a bag through a window? Tipping culture is out of control. Terrible food, terrible service, and not worth the money. We won't be back.

I've been coming here since 1992…read more. This place has been one of my favorites for years, and for good reason: the food flat-out delivers. The pork tacos are excellent, the buffet is a beautiful exercise in self-control failure, and the three enchilada plate is always a solid choice. Truthfully, it's all really good. What makes it even better is the people. Alex, Javier, and Sadie bring a fun energy that makes the whole place feel alive. Great food is one thing, but when the staff makes the atmosphere this enjoyable, it keeps you coming back. So go hungry, have a beer... or marigita, relax, and enjoy yourself. This place isn't just good - it's the kind of place you keep in your regular rotation for decades.

Sign outside lured us in. Said, "$13.99 Buffet with Drink." Turns out that if u watch long enough,…read moreit adds ONE PLATE. An obvious deceptive lure since most don't see this (we didnt). Regardless, after 15 minutes we finally got our buffet plates, then another 7min to get food on our plates (can't serve yourself). We were never asked if we wanted the one plate buffet or All-you-can-eat, and assumed the $13.99 price. We all got our bills, and each plate was around $20. The waiter then told us the lower price was for one plate only. In my case I did actually only have one plate and asked if he'd fix my bill. He said, "No. You have to tell me at the beginning." I said, "I was never told any options." He said, "I can't change your bill now." So the outside sign is deceptive, the waiter never clarifies the options when ordering, so both owner & waiter are at fault. No tip! I need more integrity from this restaurant and the waiters. Likely won't come back. Honesty is important to me, and the service timing was very subpar.

The interior nails that Southern Cali college town energy with retro decor and good music at a volume where you can actually hold a conversation. Temperature was perfect, staff was warm and helpful, and the vibe overall just works. My wife and I had hoped to split a "Biggy" burrito, but our protein preferences don't overlap, so we each ended up with our own "Pee-Wee." No custom halves here, which cost us an extra $4.50 and left me feeling like we got less food total than a shared Biggy would have given us. If you have any appetite at all, size up. My steak Ol' Skool burrito was solid, though I made the mistake of going with the mild sauce. It needed more heat to really bring it together. The fries-in-the-burrito thing also isn't really my style. I'm more of a beans, rice, and fresh lime squeeze kind of guy, so I came away a little underwhelmed on that front. But that's a taste preference, not a knock on the place. Worth a visit, no question. Just come hungry, go spicy, and know whether you're a fries-in-your-burrito person before you order.
