truly amazing food and excellent service can't wait to come back and enjoy it again. Best tacos in echo park

Disregard and don't pay attention to any of the old reviews. I just finished my tacos and they were straight The new owners were so kind and generous. Even gave my kid a free soda. I couldn't recommend a better place to get your taco fix! read more

0/10 service 5/10 food 0-10 ambiance Check this out I went with my girlfriend to get some Mexican food because she loves nachos and I let her order cause she likes to practice her Spanish well long story short the lady ended up giving her a small order of nachos and then I went back up to make it right, she said that my girlfriend didn't order right. So I asked her to make it right and then she said that she ordered wrong or else she would've made her meal right I never thought that she would give me this little bowl of nachos like a little cereal bowl and she did and said those are the nachos for $10 . I just spoke to another coworker and he talked about how that lady was giving him a hard time for not speaking proper Spanish.. And that he received the wrong order because he didn't order correctly When I went back up to tell the lady about my burrito, she charged me for cheese and sour cream and never put it in and I almost paid $20 for a burrito at the end of everything she never gave me the sour cream or the cheese. I've never met someone with such a BAD attitude Para la senora la dueña, LA JEFA no seas como eres todos somos chicanos aqui, nacimos aqui, y nos tratas que no somos de Oxnard. Eso no esta bien. This place is a gem. Conveniently located and the food is amazing. The service is always great and they are always quick. Today we happened to stop by on the way home from CHLA and the restaurant is decorated for Dia de los Muertos. This place has been here for a while and it's lived up to the standards every time. read more

Great tacos! love to see this place doing well, I've been coming here years and the quality since the new ownership has elevated their food!

food is great and the customer service is welcoming. always bring my friends here when we are in town.

I'm really disappointed. The burrito was full of grease and didn't taste fresh at all. On top of that, they forgot part of my order. When I asked about it, the lady claimed she had already given me my food, which wasn't true. I ended up waiting 35 minutes for bad service and, greasy food. This place used to be better, but the quality and customer service have definitely gone downhill. I hope they improve because right now it's not worth the wait. read more

I had eaten here before and loved it, and specifically planned my errands around the area today just for Taco Tuesday...the tacos are $1.50 (a steal) and you can load up as much of their amazing salsas, steamed veggies and spicy pickled onions/carrots as you like. She also gave me 2 bags of chips. I wish I would have taken a photo because my tacos were loaded with meat and the pastor was SO flavorful. I got 4 asada and 4 pastor, a dessert and my total wasn't even $15. You can't beat it- they are super friendly as well. read more

DO NOT EAT AT THIS PLACE - unless you want to get mad food poisoning. I was so disappointed. I ordered Chilaquiles for breakfast from this restaurant. It looked great when I received the food that Chilaquiles were made with a green sauce topped with sunny side up egg, served with rice and beans and a side salad with tomato and avocado. The flavor was great, and I even started telling friends and coworkers about this place because I was skeptical about it at first. Unfortunately, I should have stuck to my first thought and avoided this place altogether. I was skeptical at first because it doesn't look very sanitary on the outside, but I decided to give it a chance. And I am paying for it because I have had horrible food poisoning for the past two days since I've eaten here with severe body aches, fevers, and chills, and horrible diarrhea. read more

I bought 2 tacos de asada just to test out the place. Meat isn't cooked all the way, still saw some pink on my carne asada. The service was a good 5-7 minute wait but that was only because I was the only one in the store. It's a chill spot but I don't think it's worth it if the food isn't prepped all the way. read more

i've came here a lot since last year, and i looove it! amazing service everytime. all of the food i've had here has always hit the spot. i highly recommend the buche from here (i always ask for it to be crispier). the salsas they have are also really good. i definitely recommend trying this place. read more

Delicious and affordable. I will definitely be back. I had the chicken, asada, pastor and carnitas and all were excellent.

Can you please put more meat in the burritos . Stopped by for a burrito but it seemed they forgot to add a decent amount of meat and too much rice. Good for a quick bite. Service was nice. $1 if you don't have cash to use your CC . Second time eating here the first time was better. read more

we popped in for some quick lunch on our way back from echo park. i ordered a carne asada burrito and my husband had 5 carne asada tacos (no pics, he eats too fast!). my burrito was huge and bomb! the meat was tasty, juicy and plentiful! the burrito was so big that it fed me for lunch and then again for dinner. yum yum. i also had an el pastor taco and the meat was a lil dry for my liking but the flavors were good. we also had a horchata which was good and not overly sweet. i would highly recommend supporting this mom and pop spot by buying a burrito or two. everyone was fast and friendly and the food was delicious! no seats inside or outside. take your food home and eat it with ppl in your household. please and thank you! read more

La mesera no fue amable muy mal servicio .no tomo bien la orden solo había una mesa disposable y el restaurant estaba bacio .

food was as expected! :) the reviews scared me honestly, but once i tasted the food, i relaxed. it tastes like any other regular Mexican food restaurant~ it wasn't the best tacos i ever had, but it was decent Mexican food that hit the spot when my fiance and i were hungry and not willing to wait a long time to be served. when we went around 6:45 PM on a sunday night, we were the only dine in customers, and parking was not difficult to grab. they also offer habanero sauce at their salsa station, which is something different from just the typical red and green sauces offered elsewhere. i also enjoyed the pickled onions/jalapenos. would probably eat here again if in the area~ my real rating would be more like 4 stars, but thought a little boost should help their rating go up from what it is currently :) & to clarify, no, the meat was not raw, the chips were not stale, and i did not get food poisoning after eating the food read more

We tried one of each taco. Good enough that we came back later in the evening to take dinner home. Favorite were the carnitas. They had the best seasoning. Habanero sauce bottle says "very spicy" but that shouldn't scare you off. It's a tangy sauce with a medium spice. Cashier overstated cash given (and change returned) by $30. Not sure if a mistake, or is somehow scamming owners. read more

The last time I went here regularly was a kid, and I didn't knew then that this place was a chain (ala King Taco). The reason my family haven't gone back was something along the lines of "the food's not good". Fast forward to this week, and I decide to take advantage of their dollar taco days and get four tacos. Parking is crap so I decide to park at the very narrow street. The place is small but humble. One thing to note: there are signs posted around the place that signify unwelcome guests sometimes visit the place. Granted this is a 24 hour joint located on Glendale Blvd, but I'm already on the fence about this place. The food itself? It's alright, nothing too special to cry home about. It's cheaper than other Mexican places I normally buy from, but the distance plus parking situation won't make me come out of my way to go back. And now it's no longer on my commute route home. Ateast they got two days of the week I may be tempted. read more

Great deal for street style and authentic Mexican fare- I've only tried the asada, pollo, and carnitas tacos so far.... All three were delicious, especially with fresh squeezed lemon and some house guacamole sauce. They are served with onion and cilantro optional. Perfect portions for a great price- will definitely be back for the Tuesday/Thursday .95 taco special. Came after the Dodgers game today (Easter) around 9pm and they were steady with business. Counter lady was super friendly and helpful, the place was also clean. The only downside is no restroom. Definitely worth a visit for the specials to give it a try. read more

Cute place to have brunch with an assortment of menu items. Great people..will def be going back soon!

Oh boy. I've seen thousands of tacos in my day. Today I may have seen the saddest tacos in my extensive history. Stopped by & noticed it was a taco special since today was Tuesday. Taco Tuesday! Bonus! I was excited. Ordered 3 pastor tacos & a coke from friendly cashier. Unbelievable deal at $4.95! Order comes up fast. Looking at the tacos, I was a bit perplexed as they did not resemble al pastor tacos, more like grey bits of meat mixed w onions & hot salsa roja. The tortillas were fresh, hot & tasty with a nice chew. But man, the meat was not very good. Tasted not fresh & very sad as al pastor. I hope the other meats are better but can't recommend this taco. 1 star for good tortilla, 1 star for good service, 1/2 star for ultra cheap price :( read more

Great food and service! Will definitely be back! The lady was very friendly and gave me good recommendations on the menu.

Impromptu visit after 11pm. Driving home from a friends. Already had dinner but had the munchies. The sign was taunting, placed in the window facing passing cars. --"0.59 tacos Tuesday and Thursdays"-- A friend had given me the skinny on this place -- Not so good, but it looked so tempting. There was a spot in the small lot and I could see through the window, nobody in line. Pulled in. Neighborhood a tad on the sketchy side, but I'm a person that can look like he's not worth messing with and I can keep my eyes to myself. Found the perfect spot. Walked in. The neon light floods the place and reflects in the graffiti lightly hewned into the orange formica table tops. I order two pollo, two asada, and two pastor tacos. "Everything?" she asks? I nod yes. Not wanting nothing to do and luckily having a quarter on me, I walk over to the bank of video machines. Ms. Pacman catches my eye. And to kill some time, I drop a quarter in. But instead of the familiar Pac Man song, a futuristic "pew pew" begins to emanate from the machine. I'm playing Galaga. It was an unexpected surprise, and even though at the beginning I was a bit rusty, will and determination to keep myself busy urged me on and I was able to pull out a few cool dodges and earn a respectable score. After my last ship and not having another quarter to continue the battle, I was forced to sit down and check Yelp on my droid. No compliments. CNN, such pabulum. An eternity rolls by and at last my order has arrived. I grab my bag, add a last minute Tamarindo Jarritos in a glass bottle and make my way to the car and back to my apt. After laying all the tacos out on a plate, and nuking a little heat back into them, I dug in. This is where the romance ended. Sadly, none of the tacos could be told apart. They all tasted the same. They all tasted like poor quality corn tortillas. The pragmatic reality that not all dives are good was hard to accept. But without risk, where would the excitement be? In this case, the journey exceeded the end of the road. Who's to say that's bad? And, there's always late night Galaga to be had. read more

Tacos Mexico - .59 cents Tue and Thurs. Play Galaga - Mexican Near Me - Los Angeles, California

Taco Tuesdays and Thursdays is $0.95 (regularly $1.49), so I had a carne asada and a pastor. It was okay. There's an old PacMan arcade and an old claw machine with old toys and $5 bills you could win. I don't need to go back here, but if you're going to try it, it's probably best on 95 cent Tuesdays and Thursdays. You're not missing out on much since you're better off with any taco truck on the street. read more

Let's just say I was eating my food and swatting at a fly at the same time. Chicken Quesadilla ($4.99) Horrible imbalance of cheese and meat. So much cheese and not enough meat. I was so hungry and super excited, but when I got my food, I was utterly disappointed. Not enough chicken. To top it off, I found myself battling a housefly that wanted a piece of my quesadilla. Me vs Housefly. Rd 1. AND it was incredibly hot inside. Like it was 70 degrees outside and probably 85 degrees inside. Turn on the air or open a window please! read more

Whoever gave this place more than 3 stars are lying or being nice. I havent been here in years and I was reminded again of why. Tues & Thurs .95 cent tacos right? My friends and I came here at night for the deal and..... I say those tacos are worth at least .25 or free. The plate was soaked in oil, the tortillas were pretty much seemed to be dipped in oil and thrown on the plate (skipping the grill cooking part). We got one of each flavor (asada, pastor, cabeza, buche, pollo)... Terrible. The meats were not fresh and oily. Oh the plate comes with tortilla chips.... Guess what.. they were stale. I regret coming here. As an asian, I kakao'd my friends and wrote "those were one of the worst taco places I ever tried in my life" read more

$0.59 tacos on Tues and Thurs is the only reason to come to this place. The first I went here I ordered fish tacos and vegetable tacos. I ended up with fish and tortilla chips and one of the vegetable tacos was lettuce, tomato, and avocado. Every other time I order the asada tacos, they are always fatty, sometimes ridiculously fatty, and make sure you order them without the sauce. I've been twice and they've made decent food. You get what you pay for. read more

Every Tuesday and Thursday, they have tacos for $1. It's such a great deal! they don't skimp on the toppings, and there's a full-service salsa bar. The salsa bar even has grilled onions and chiles. The green chiles are pretty spicy, so beware! Parking is a bit tight because they share the lot with a convenience store. read more
