Stopped here last night because it was one of the few thing open around 8:30pm. We seen that the hours said 9pm closing but when arriving we seen a worker ask another employee as if he should say closed or not lol but since there was a family eating inside already they let us in. I ordered a torta w/o chili. When I took a bite, the first thing I tasted was chili. I had to take the pieces of chili out. Food was Ok. I am not sure I got what I paid for. The chicken was all chopped up into pieces that are not recognizable. I was not too happy with the receptionist handling some chicken, salsa, and the money in the register. Funny, I though people wore glove for our protection (customer) of contamination or hygiene. Tacos Los Carnales is one of my go to taco spots. Everything here is made fresh to order and served hot. The meats are well seasoned and tender. The rice is flavorful and moist but not too mushy. The beans are delicious, although I do suspect they use meat broth to flavor them for my vegetarians. My go to plates are the tacos dorados and birria tacos. The avocado on the tacos is always soft and adds just the right amount of creaminess. Make sure to check this spot out when you get a chance! read more

I've eaten their food in the past before but this is my 1st time actually coming here and ordering. It's kinda hidden on Mission Blvd in the city of Montclair but it's also kind of a gem.. it's a cool little spot to eat when ur hangry for some tacos. I stop by here a lot on my lunch breaks. It's one of the better taco spots in Montclair. Food is tasty, reasonably priced, and service is fairly quick. They recently added outdoor seating too which is nice. Usually my go to at any taco place is carne asada but the al pastor here is so good! My favorite place to get a burrito. They are huge and I used to go here then go to Mission Tiki and watch movies.

Thought I should give an update since it has been a while since I reviewed this place. Still one of my favorite Mexican food places to go to around the area. In 5 years there is much change indoors, and they do also have outdoor seating if anyone prefers that as well. The food here I can usually say is pretty good.. I just think sometimes depending on who is preparing the food, it could be inconsistent. For example I ordered Al pastor tacos (which are really good btw), it didn't have any onions or cilantro, but the previous time it would have it. I would say just to try to ask for certain things just to double check you have what you need. One sad update is that they no longer sell tostadas anymore.. or at least the person that took my order told me that. This was one of my favorite items here and i am really sad they took it out.. I would still recommend this place. Just make sure if you order from the phone that you ordered at the right location since they don't only have one location. Until next time! read more

Ate here while on work travel and was pretty pleased. The Burrito Mojado Rojo was pretty solid. Cabeza was really tender. The Torta de pastor was amazing! Food was a 4.5 but I rounded up to a 5. Service was friendly and fast too. read more

We come here ALOT throughout the week . My husband loves their carne asada burrito . They make their chips fresh . Their guacamole is so good . They use fresh ingredients never frozen veggies . The workers there take their job seriously therefore the food taste the same everytime . I love their cooked onion you can get for free with a cup of whole beans for free. This place is a gem and i wish more people knew about it ! You won't be disappointed. read more

This is definitely one of the better locations of the chain. I've been coming to this taco spot for a few years now they've made some changes and some upgrades in the seating added a nice patio area and additional parking which it really needed food service may have changed a bit. You no longer can serve your own drinks but the options are still there and the food is still great. The portions are always big and they're keeping up with the times changing their menu. Their birra nachos are well worth a try. Burritos are always big and packed. Tacos are always full of flavor. This is one of my favorite go to spots. read more

We hired Los Carnales to provide tacos, rice, beans, chips, agua Fresca, salsas, etc for a family funeral held today at a Catholic Church in Ontario for about 100 people. They were fantastic- I highly recommend them. I worked with Vernence to book the event -she was very helpful, professional and offered great suggestions. She emailed my detailed event confirmation within minutes and was gracious and accommodating when I called to make changes. All of my guests were impressed with the food quality, service and they roll their own corn tortillas for every order! The watermelon agua Fresca was a big hit on a hot day - very refreshing. This place is great and all I won't complain about the food. I've been eating from here for a year or two now. But lately the customer service sucks and all the girls look like they in a bad mood. On top of that I've order food to go and I always have an item missing like on one occasion they forgot to give me a torta second time they forgot to give me a carne asada burrito. It's really frustrating when you drive home for 15 mins . Just to find out you're missing some of your order. I really like the food but they gotta pay more attention on the orders they are putting out and better customer service. Now my other food at home is cold because I had to drive back and get the missing food. I should really give this place now a single star. read more

If I could give them 12 stars I would! OMG, what have I been missing not knowing of this gem until now! Service: I called in an order for delivery (I couldn't pick up my order as I am stuck indoors as a home health nurse and require food to come to me...). That being said, at first the woman who answered the phone told me they didn't deliver... but she stopped herself and double checked to learn that they do and could. This was on New Year's Day. From the moment I finished placing my order to the doorbell ringing with some delicious grub - I swear it was like six minutes seven tops!!! Food: I ordered the 2 soaps meal with one al pastor and the other carnitas, chips and the hottest salsa they had. (This white girl LOVES spicy hot heat). DUDE! Amazing flavors and all the yumminess you could want plus more. The carnitas were juicy, flavorful, and even had the char "bark" that I love. The al pastor was seasoned with just the right amount of heat, the toppings were fresh, the soaps were crisp on the outside and still soft inside, and the habanero salsa was ah-MAZ-zing!!! I also got the red salsa and it is just as delicious. The corn chips were fresh and thick so they stood up to a hearty scoop and didn't disappoint. The refried beans were so good and the rice!....I usually don't eat it, but it smelled so good and after tasting the garlicky yumminess, I indulged! After inhaling 1/3 of my meal, I picked up my phone to call them back and thank them and compliment their service and food. I like menudo from this place so I tried ordering wet burrito....man this was one of the worst burrito I ever had. First, sauce was very sweet. It's not spicy, just sweet. Second, the burrito was full with bean and rice, and hardly any meat was in there. Third, I paid for sour cream, but sour cream was nowhere to be found. The tacos here were good. I had the tacos dorados and they were still crispy when I got home. I did poke some holes on the lid to allow heat out while I drove home, that way they aren't too soggy. The consume could use a little more flavor. Same for the salsa. But the flavor of the taco itself was good. I also had a agua de sandia, and i finished that before I got home haha.
