Shrimp fajitas, extra onions, no salad. Delicious
Allen H.

I work by here and am here at least a few times a month. Every time I eat here, I'm always super satisfied with the food. Lupe (owner) is the cook and boy, can he cook! The cashier (Rosa, I believe) is very friendly. Back to the food. Things I can comment on. Tacos (chicken) - chicken moist with good flavor. Burrito (fish/shrimp) - best fish burrito I've had from a truck, period. The shrimp burrito is super tasty as well. Fajitas plate (chicken/shrimp) - both very good. Had the shrimp today and uploaded a photo. Something i have to mention. Lupe cooks everything fresh when ordered. No precooked chicken, steak, shrimp, anything. That's the reason why its so delicious. Everything comes out hot (which makes it hard to hold the burrito) but no complaints since its so good. This is one if my favorite trucks to eat at and am sure you'd enjoy it too.

Food tastes ok here but portions are too small. What more can I say. At least it is better than the place across the street.

Burritos are awesome and what they're known for, but I have to give the al pastor tacos a shout --…read morethey're awesome when you're not craving as much. Super suiza quesadillas also delicious. I prefer the al pastor to the carne asada, it was just so much more tender and flavorful. It's great they offer outdoor seating so more people can fit, but the indoor table near the back door was so cold from the wind. The atmosphere felt like a lot of locals bringing around their tourist friends (but tbh that was me too!)

Legendary - oh that quesadilla!!…read more If you are looking for an authentic late-night bite in San Francisco, El Farolito is an absolute must-visit institution. The fresh food here hits the spot every single time, serving up massive portions that never skimp on flavor, and honestly, it is so much better than La Taqueria down the street. While most people rave about the burritos, the absolute star of the show for me is their amazing quesadilla--perfectly cheesy, packed with high-quality meats, and grilled to absolute perfection. The only real downside to this gritty, no-frills spot is the deplorable bathroom situation, which is definitely best avoided if you can help it. But if you can look past the sketchy restroom, the incredible, affordable food easily beats out the competition nearby and makes it entirely worth the trip. * Tip: This place gets very busy and can have very long lines, especially during the late-night rush, so try to go during off-peak hours or just be prepared to wait a bit for your food! Thanks

It was hot, flavorful, had a avocado chunks in the guac so yummy! Every bite had well distributed flavors not like some burritos where everything is piled into one end or the other. TWICE AT GOLDEN GATE PARK…read more In the past 11 months I've been to two exhibitions at De Young Museum. After the exhibitions instead of eating at the cafe in the museum I would look at food trucks at Golden Gate Park. After those two exhibitions I've ordered food from this food truck. The first time I came to Cochinita was in September after the exhibition featuring photos taken by Paul McCartney during the rise of The Beatles. The item that stood out from the truck was the elote tots. They were Mexican-style corn kernels top over tater tots. I am a sucker for tater tots. With sour cream and sauce I was worried if the tater tots would be soggy. The tater tots were still crispy. The complimenting textures of corn and tater tots made this a satisfying dish. The second time I came to the food truck at Golden Gate Park was the last day of exhibition "Monet and Venice." I was hoping to see if the elote tater tots were available; they weren't. I scanned up and down the items available listed on the food truck. One item that intrigued me was the tradicional - a plate with two types of fried tortilla. The panucho is regular fried while the salbut is fried with a puffy appearance. I love fried food, but these two tortillas weren't oily. These two kinds of tortilla fried dishes provided different textures to the toppings. I never ate Yucatan food before ordering food at Cochinita. If you are tasting a new cuisine you never had before ordering from a restaurant versus a food truck is different. Whereas in a restaurant while sitting you ask for recommendation whereas at a food truck while you're standing you go with your gut feeling. From my two experiences at the Cochinita food truck I ordered items I never had before and I enjoyed both of them. If I go to the Chochinita food truck at Golden Gate Park again and see elote tots, panucho, and salbut what will I order next time? I'm going to order an item I never had before.
