carnitas taco & deep fried Brussels sprouts. delicious.
    John M.

I really love the carnitas tacos, taste sort of like a spring roll and taco mashup. It might sound strange, but it works. They had deep fried Brussels sprouts yesterday with some kind of creamy sriracha sauce, super delicious!

Pork tacos on left and lingua on the right. Gourmet grub!

Chicken taco was super bland. Carnitas had more flavor but still needed something more. They were cheap though, so can't complain too much.

The food is good, and it's clear that people will fall in line for it. I don't mind going back. Chips: It's free, and it's chips w/ salsa. Enjoy it. Birria Taco: I think a lot of restaurants are starting to understand how birria is made, so I'm noticing that the average quality is going up. While the taste profile of the meat and the consommé are above average for this place, I feel that the birria that I eat is beginning to taste the same. Kudos on the size; some spots skimp on the size. Lengua Super Burrito: I think this is priced very well for a large burrito. I am a fan of their lengua, and I'm also happy to report that I didn't feel cheated with the lengua portion size inside the burrito. I tried their asasda, and it was bad, so I'm very happy that the lengua was very good. Service: You order, you pay, you wait for the food to arrive. Nothing crazy. Ambiance: It's a smaller corner spot, so you really gotta get lucky with the seating. The line can get crazy at certain hours of the day, so it's gonna be hard to sit and stay a while. I'd just eat here and move on.

On a scrubby block of the outer Mission, I used to be here weekly for social skills therapy with my son at KidSpace. So, I was familiar with the parking challenges. Ten minutes later we headed in. Clean, welcoming warm, they invited us to try anything before ordering. We were ready to order the enchiladas divorciadas ($18.49) and breakfast burrito with guacamole ($16.99). We were kindly fussed over by a woman I think was the young owners' mom. She wiped down our table, brought chips and three kinds of salsa and my coffee plus cream and sugar. My son wolfed down the enchiladas with green and red sauces and I saved half of my breakfast burrito for dinner later. My burrito was deliciously filling - and I was super hungry - that's how satisfying it was! The owner told me they make the chorizo sausage in house. The burrito had a wonderful smoky flavor, almost like bacon. Check out this wonderful, newer spot on the 3400 block of Mission. Lovely owners, great food!

It says they open the 7pm but they're not ready till much later and we were told to show up around 8pm to be first in line. The lengua tacos are fantastic! The horchata is also good. I also had the pastor and carne asada. The pastor was better than the carne asada but even then neither stood out. It was nice to support their entrepreneurial spirit. I like that the early crowd is Latino locals, and that the later crowd (assumed) gets after bar crowd. It really services a wide San Francisco scene. Limited seats. Don't expect to sit down.

For two carne asada tacos and an al pastor quesadilla, they charged us $25. No idea what the cost breakdown is since they don't have a menu lol Service was prompt and friendly. They have pickled onions with sliced habaneros and a few different salsas. I like the red salsa, creamy green one (kinda spicy), and the creamy habanero (very spicy). The tacos were good. Pretty decent amount of meat. The quesadilla was also good with a decent ratio of cheese and meat. I thought the al pastor was missing that typical strong savory-sweet flavor though. They also added pineapple in the quesadilla. There are a lot of options in the area but this place is worth a try.
