I'm really hooked on the tacos El Pastor. At first I was only getting three tacos at a time and it was filling... But recently I bumped up my game to four! It hits the spot, and it's totally legit amazing. Savory with a hint of caramelization and there's the signature smoky sauteed onions they put on the side. Total fire! And the price i$ right. Today I went with the El Pastor burrito again and this time asked for light rice to cut down on the carbs and as always they nailed it again. Total fire! My co-workers got my hooked on this place when they got me some Asada Fries and they were also totally epic. I was in a food coma the rest of the day - LOL, but what a way to go... Amazing! The people at Tacos El Gordo are friendly and you get your food fast. They take debit cards too, and don't charge extra for using them. Another plus is they use little buzzer-pagers like restaurants so you can hang in your car if the weather isn't ideal. To be honest, I must go at the right times because I never have to wait long at all to get my food. Maybe, it's just my charm, and good looks. But seriously if you find yourself on 9th street, downtown Modesto by the Double Tree hotel, and you're hungry, or even if you're not that hungry. Head North next to Ralphs Transmission shop, and stop by Tacos El Gordo's green and red truck and have some authentic street food, that's legit fire!

They are big also and the portion of shrimp is outstanding. Shrimp in every bite. The quesabirria tacos also very delicious with consome. I eat there at least once a week and the consistency of quality and taste has been the same(both locations). The service has always been amazing, very friendly and respectful, the owner also very attentive to the customers as it should be. The ambiance is plenty of outdoor seating and shaded.
