The Al Pastor has the perfect kick, the Asada is super flavorful, and the Camaron (shrimp) tacos are surprisingly fresh and delicious.

As we were looking at the menu, I didn't notice any GF indicators by any of the menu items, nor did the menu itself mention gluten free items. I was hoping our friends would be able to enjoy a decent selection of their delicious food that I had come to love. What a surprise - we learned that EVERYTHING on the menu is gluten free. Are you kidding me? Even the churros? Yes, even the churros. Chips and salsa? No problem. Our friends were so surprised and so very impressed. We ordered the pork shank (scrumptious), chicken enchiladas with jalapeño cream sauce (yes, please) and roasted chicken (tender and well seasoned). And yes, we shared an order of churros. Kiddos in a candy store - that's the vibe our table had. Friends literally impressed with every bite and with zero worries about having limited options. I was so happy for them and so impressed with Teocalli. The food was incredible - as always. Staff were wonderful and the place itself is gorgeous. Teocalli has a minimal, yet very tasteful feel. I love the live plants and beautiful decor. 10/10 highly recommend.

I love that Teocalli Cocina is 100% gluten-free. Thank you! That said, they really do need to offer some vegan options. A mushroom taco, cauliflower taco, or something with grilled veggies and beans would be tasty. It can be done, other places do it! (Note: many gluten free people are dairy free too.) My husband ordered the cheese enchiladas, but was given chicken instead, and we were disappointed to learn that the rice and pinto beans contain meat. This is unnecessary. I do hope they incorporate more vegetarian and vegan options into the menu in the future.

But at the same time, I also did not mind having all of the servers to ourselves. We just got done with the massage and I was craving something Mexican. When I sat down and started looking at the menu and saw that there were so many different classics to choose from as well as some twists on new flavors. I was pretty excited to try this place out. I was not crazy about the chips and salsa. The chips are really hard. And the salsa is extra spicy, which is completely unnecessary. So we just didn't eat much of that. Put her food didn't come out quickly and it was hunt and it was very good. I had to cheese enchiladas and I cleaned my plate. My date had a burrito. Smothered and it looked. Super yummy. It was really good. I was very surprised at how good it was and how it hit home. I'm used to eating Mexican food in Mexico and in Texas and this was fabulous. When we got the bill, I was surprised that how affordable our mail was for is what we got. I thought that this is definitely somewhere. I would want to visit again. This is classic. Easy, fun, good atmosphere, good music, good vibes. Good service.

I had the cadillac margarita and my SO had the paloma, both were very tasty. You could tell the marg was made with fresh ingredients and not just a bottled mixer. 5 stars for drinks! As for food, you are greeted with the standard basket of chips and salsa, which were excellent. The salsa was full of flavor with just right amount of heat. We finished it off in no time and our server graciously brought out another basket. For entrees, we decided to split an order of the quesobirria tacos and an order of the enchiladas suisas. Both dishes were excellent, but the quesobirria was phenomenal! I would absolutely get an order of these for myself next time. The enchiladas were also really good and were smothered in a delicious verde sauce and stuffed with carnitas, which apparently are the house specialty. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be coming back! I for one am so stoked to have an authentic Mexican restaurant in the area and can't wait to explore more of the menu!

Heyyyyyyy alllll. So spun the wheel and.. LADY NÓMADA???…read more Oh she's coastal, she's chaotic, she's giving "Tik Tok influencer with a trust fund and a surfboard she's never touched." And honestly? I ate it UP. (SQUEAL) First victim: the Lost Lady Salad. Kale, dates, candied walnuts, mustard agave dressing, jack & white cheddar... basically somebody threw a woodland fairy brunch into a bowl and said , make it sexy. And BABY, it WORKED. Sweet, crunchy, tangy, confusing in the best way possible. Those little dates were in there flirting shamelessly. If you skip this salad, I just cannot help you spiritually. Now the Chicken Tonga tacos... OOOOO she came in HOT. Braised chicken, gooey cheese, pickled red onions, radish. Oh girrrrl, this taco had ATTITUDE. My compadre took one bite and suddenly I trusted her judgment again because this little dish was FIRE, honey. The pickled onions with the spicy chicken? Naughty. Disrespectful. Borderline illegal levels of delicious. Then we slid into the carnitas tacos. Braised achiote pork shoulder, salsa verde, cotija, cilantro, onions... and yes I was feeling cheesy because the cheese with that salsa verde combo??? She was smooth with a tiny little tomatillo slap at the end. Not enough to fight you, just enough to keep things interesting. Like a toxic ex who learned therapy buzzwords. The vibe? Surfboards on the walls, laid-back beach energy, giant North Shore wave footage playing like we were one fish taco away from moving to Hawaii. Slightly confusing geographically? Yes. Did I still eat it up aesthetically? Also yes. Coastal Mexican with a side of , wait where are we? Now LISTEN. I asked for a Corona. My sweet beautiful waiter, whose name I failed to write down because apparently journalism is dead, brought me a Paloma instead. CLOSE, but absolutely not. Nobody needs tequila unlocking the feral neighborhood coyote living inside me. Bad enough sober. Thankfully he corrected it immediately because we avoided what could have become a full moon situation. No harm, no foul, no howling. Overall? Lady Nómada is spicy, chaotic, beachy, slightly confused, and absolutely delicious. Exactly the kind of woman I aspire to be. Verdict: 3 snaps, a splash down and a twist.

Drinks: They used cheaper tequila. my body cannot handle cheap tequila, but higher end stuff is just fine. how can I tell? I was sweating tequila the next day after one margarita. Service: staff was lovely, though I wish they were more accommodating to my vegetarian guest. The refried beans are made with animal fat, so it is not vegetarian as advertised.
