    Taco man working magic
    Anthony N.

I've been going here for taco Tuesday for a few months now. They start setting up around 6/630 but don't fully open until around 7/730 but there's always a line waiting for them. Their taco Tuesday special is $1 al pastor, chicken, or chorizo. The tacos are packed with meat so for $1 it's worth it. I always get 4 al pastor (don't forget the pineapple) and a $1 worth of rice and I'm stuffed. I've tried their brisket and other options that are $2 a taco, when I go later in the evening because at open some of their meat options are not ready. They have a good selection of taco support items, my favorite is the spicy cucumbers and the pickled carrots. I get a lot of their avocado salsa as well. These guys work fast and they take cash and Zelle.

You guys!!!!!! They have another location on 11th and beach!!!? Come down this way for the same taste with shorter lines!

How can you beat $2 a taco? One of the best spots I've had the pleasure of trying in a long time. Came around 7 pm on a Saturday and they were still getting everything prepped and ready so had to wait a little bit to order. I got three al pastor tacos, and they were AMAZING. Their self-service toppings and sauces were perfection. Personally, I loved the pickled veggies which had a nice kick. Dreaming about these tacos!

Rounded up to 4 Stars!! We came on a Sunday night, probably the 10th in line and it took about 25 minutes. People were ordering large amounts. My kids come here a lot and have been wanting to take me here. They know I love Street Tacos. I do love me a Taco Sand/Truck that has self-serve condiment bar. This is why I gave them a 4 Stars (really 3.5 Stars for the meats). We ordered the following. 01. Meat Quesadillas $10 - 2 Stars - Had Al Pastor as the meat and boy was it super duper messy. It was greasy and the tortilla was so soggy. You really couldn't taste the meat as it was just drenched in the grease and juice of the meat. 02. Al Pastor Burrito $10 - 2 Stars - Same deal with the Quesadillas. Soggy and a huge mess. At least you can hold it together with the foil. Too messy to eat. They only had 1 table so this was quite problematic. 03. Street Tacos $2.50 - 2 Stars - We ordered Brisket (Suadero), Asada (Beef), Al Pastor (Grilled Pork), Birria (Beef Stew). Brisket was cooked in that big round stock pot with other meats. It had really no flavor but it was super tender. Asada was also very flavorless. Al Pastor didn't have the flavor profile that makes it Al Pastor (sweet, savory, and smoky with a hint of spice and tanginess). We didn't taste any smokiness, not a hint of sweetness or the tanginess from pineapples. Wished this was grilled a little more to give it some charred goodness. LOCATION - You'll see the truck on Bolsa Street (corner of Bolsa & Magnolia). Look for the bright white string lights. PARKING - They open at 6:30pm so most of the business around was closed so there's plenty of parking next to the BofA. If the Taco truck didn't have lights on, it would be a bit dark so please watch your step. CUSTOMER SERVICE - Friendly team, the cook speaks English in case you have questions. PAYMENT - We were able to Zelle them. Cash might be preferred. MEATS - All the meats were ok, nothing to wow you, meat was super tender and they were generous in portion but the flavors all tasted the same after 3 tacos. You can definitely tell what meat was what but in taste-wise, nothing tasted different. The Corn Tortillas were soft and good, held up to the foil wrap. CONDIMENT BAR - Loved the condiments station, especially being self-served. The salsas were all very bland. Salsa Verde was not tangy or savory, it was very mild in tanginess. Salsa Roja was not smoky or spicy. Their Salsa de Aguacate (Guacamole Salsa) was creamy but had no flavor. Their pickled onions was good, not too sour, just perfect. The grilled onions was a great add to your tacos. Plenty of limes to take. I didn't try the pickled cucumbers or jalapenos. The cilantro/onion mix was perfectly diced and even in portion. They had sandwich bags for you to take what you want. I do appreciate them having this for the customers to help themselves. VERDICT - If you happen to be close by and want street tacos for $2.50, hit them up. Would I drive out to them (more than 5 miles)...probably not. The tacos are not bad, they just didn't have different flavors, just all tasted alike after eating 3 different one. The staff are friendly and helpful so if I'm in the area and hungry, I would get some but I wouldn't go out of my way for them. The kids did say that tonight's meats was not a good as usual. I might need to go again for them.

$2 for really good Beef Taco!

One of my daughter's favorite spots! I've passed by many times, and she finally convinced me to check it out. It's located outside the Bank of America plaza on Bolsa and Magnolia, with easy and plentiful parking. The vibe is lively and welcoming, like a family cookout. They grill pork off the spit, and beef and chicken slow cooked to perfection, all served in warm, small corn tortillas. The organized sauce bar lets you customize, and the cooks grill onions to your liking. Tacos are $2 each, an amazing deal for the quality! I'm usually not a taco person, but their beef taco was surprisingly flavorful and delicious. Definitely come back!

Tacos el May closes at midnight on weekends, which is a little later than El Toro de Oro, so on nights that we go to Disney, we look forward to making a midnight taco run at Tacos el May before heading home. Priced at $2 per taco, you are paying more than you would at El Toro de Oro, but you are getting better quality meat and flavor (tastes fresh, even at closing). We've also tried the asada burrito (no beans no cheese). I'd say the burrito is priced well at $10 but I've also had a lot better elsewhere for the same price. All in all, this spot is in our regular rotation and definitely recommend trying!

I love this places taco Tuesday deal! Literally $1 tacos SIGN ME UP!! Their tacos have amazing quality and just the best vibes ever everytime I come here. The carnes asada, the al pastor and the brisket are my favorite things to get and they also have very good Birria tacos. They're very nice for letting me get so much for my family and getting like 50 tacos lol... please support them!

It was a 40 minute wait on a Friday night. Their menu was really clear and pricing is fair. I ordered 4 tacos: lengua, tripa, asada, al pastor. I'm surprised I liked asada the most, it had the most flavor. I think the al pastor is second, because it didn't have pineapple. Overall, I liked the corn tortillas more than the meat. The area included one table. The condiment bar included spicy cucumbers, pickled onions/jalapenos/habaneros, limes, avocado/verde/rojo salsa. I think I tasted some chipotle in the rojo salsa. For payment, they accept both cash & Zelle.

I actually had no idea this taco stand existed until I heard about it off a Reddit post (unhinged lady goes off on the taco stand owners). So of course, I had to check out what all the fuss was about. This taco stand sets up shop at the BofA/ABC Market shopping center off the corner of Bolsa & Magnolia. It's literally roadside - with a little table for eating, but most people including myself just ate in our car after getting our food. The menu has their offering of meats - in Spanish, English, and Vietnamese (the stand does setup shop in Little Saigon). Tacos are $2, Burritos and Nachos are $10 each. The presentation was great - or as great as you can get with a taco stand. The Al Pastor trompo was awesome. You order with the main chef (who speaks English as well), and head down the food assembly line, grabbing grilled onions, cilantro/onions, cucumbers, other condiments. There are three types of salsas at the end - the avocado was my favorite, since it wasn't too spicy. My order was two al pastor tacos, and a carne asada burrito. Both had generous meat toppings/fillings - every bite was full of flavor. They really do not skimp on the filling here! My burrito had the carne asada, rice, and beans - but it was mostly meat. They take Cash and Zelle only. No cards. There is a BofA ATM steps away if you need to get cash. Supposedly, they set up around 630pm - but when I came at that time, the cashier guy told me it would be another 20-30 minutes before they were ready. So I say, go around 7pm. The shopping center at that time, would be mostly closed - so parking isn't an issue. The line looks long initially, but gets moving pretty quickly once they open up. Not sure why, but there's a competitor's taco truck literally a few steps away... and I sorta felt bad for them since they never had a line going at their truck. Overall, a new favorite whenever I'm in the area around this time!

    Cody L.

One of my new fav taco spots hands down. Loved all the meat options and they do not skimp - each taco was filled with heaps of meat. They also give you tons of sides/toppings like cucumbers, peppers and onions and even have avocado salsa, all self serve. Would definitely come back and would recommend this spot to anyone craving some good tacos.

So worth it for the price! $2 per taco and they have quite the selection. Keep in mind that these are real "street tacos." They set up everyday at 6:30PM. Wish they had better hours but it's all good. Most people take their order to go because there isn't really a place to sit besides a mini fold up table with 4-5 chairs. TACOS - Buche 5/5 - Lengua 5/5 - Asada 4/5 **I definitely planning on coming back to try the tripas, sudero, & cabeza. Tacos were relatively small so I was able to put down 5. They self-service bar area has: - Cucumbers - Pickled red onions, jalapeños, & habaneros. (This was fire!) - Pickled jalepenos/carrots - Limes - Salsa: Avocado, Green tomatillo, & red. My only complaint was that the salsas were a little bland. They accept both cash & Zelle.

Asada tacos x 2 and Al pastor tacos x2 ($2 each)

*** Accepts Zelle *** One day on my way home, I noticed a long line at a small taco stand near the intersection of Bolsa & Magnolia in Westminster. After seeing positive Yelp reviews, I bookmarked this spot and finally had a chance later to see why it always draws a crowd. [Parking]: The taco stand is located next to Bank of America. Since most businesses in the lot are closed at night, parking was pretty easy. [Hours]: According to their Instagram page (@tacos_elmay), the stand is closed on Mondays and open from 6:30 PM - 11 PM Tuesday through Sunday. [Atmosphere & ordering]: Expect a long line, but it moves fairly quickly. The stand typically plays lively music in the background. After placing your order with the cook, you can customize your tacos with grilled onions, raw red onions, cilantro, and salsa right next to the cashier table. [Menu]: Popular meat options include al pastor, tripas, and asada. They have a banner listing all available meats so there's no guesswork. Each taco is $2 and $3 with cheese. Small horchata is $3 and $5 for large. Burrito with one meat is $10 and $12 for mixed. Other options include mulitas, quesadillas, nachos, and tortas. *** Asada and Al pastor tacos ($2 each): Al pastor taco didn't come with a slice of pineapple and it was not as good as Al pastor taco from Angel's Tijuana Tacos from Echo Park or Leo's Tacos Truck in Mid-City in Central Los Angeles. Both asada and al pastor tacos tasted slightly dry and double layer tortilla, but overall they still tasted pretty satisfying. Red chili sauce was really spicy but super flavorful. The al pastor taco didn't include a pineapple slice and it was not as good as the al pastor tacos from Angel's Tijuana Tacos (Echo Park) or Leo's Tacos Truck (Mid-City in Los Angeles). Both the asada and al pastor tacos were slightly dry and came in double-layered tortillas, but they were still fairly satisfying for a $2 street taco. The red chili sauce was super spicy, but it was very flavorful. *** While I do not think this is the best al pastor taco spot in Los Angeles or Orange County, there aren't many late-night taco options near Little Saigon. Overall it is a solid choice for a quick fix when you are craving a late-night bite.

    Trinh T.

There was a long line for this taco stand but it was worth! Got 10 adobadas and they looked small but 2 filled me up. They make it all in front of you and there's a station for sauces and toppings you can take to-go. The worker was nice and helpful as well. It's a decently busy spot on the street. Very casual grab-and-go spot with only one table and some chairs next to it.

Even their regular price is still very reasonable. There was definitely a line around 6pm but it moved quickly. Love that they also have a self service taco condiments bar and area on the side of their truck where you can top your food with the freshly sliced or pickled veggies/chilis and slather on various taco sauces to your heart's content. They used to be open twenty four hours, which was a huge perk, but even now it remains a go to choice for quick and flavorful tacos. I ordered their street tacos, which continue to be some of the best I have had in Orange County. They remind me of tacos I have eaten in Mexico. They are small in the perfect way, two or three bites and you are through the taco, which is exactly what a good street taco should be. The meat has a rich and savory flavor that stands out right away. The red sauce is bold and adds the right amount of heat without overpowering the rest of the taco. The staff here is consistently friendly and welcoming, which adds to the charm of the place. Service moves fast even when they are busy. Inside, the space has that classic street taco shop feel. I always got sauce for free to go and then all of a sudden he decided he wanted to start charging me. Sometimes I get charged, and sometimes I don't. It's very frustrating because they only except cash. There was a female employee that used to work there during the day. I haven't seen her for a while, but I wish she would come back. She was awesome!!!
