    Asada Fries
    Thomas M.

Taco Grill is our neighborhood secret spot for great Mexican food! Tucked into a little strip mall next to a laundromat, it's easy to miss this hidden gem. The service is fast and friendly. The environment beach casual with festive decorations. I recommend the blacked fish tacos, or on a day when you're really hungry, a blackened fish burrito, wet with the red sauce. Ay yay yay, your stomach will sing and not cry! Today I just got my favorite snack - Asada Fries modified to beans instead of meat. I use 7 to 8 of the fresh salsas from the salsa bar, to complement the great flavors and textures. Everything here is delicious, you can't go wrong. Enjoy!

    Fish tacos, a must!

Yes! Eat here! No need to look further. Crispy chicken or beef tacos are delicious. They are served fully loaded $3.50 each! Super fresh & really delicious. Our favorite was the fish tacos. Really tasty. Chips & salsa are solid as well! We will eat here next time we are in town! It's a small, clean, functional spot. Service was great! Enjoy!

Read reviews & this was on my way home. I can't tell you how many times I've driven past and never paid attention to where this was located.! The reviews were good here on Yelp so I gave it a try! I decided to order one of each one crispy hard taco Carne Asada. When grilled fish and fried fish. Each of them were delicious I'm always in the mood for a fish taco and I'm always in the mood for a hard she'll crunchy taco. Love that they give you sour cream and guac without asking. Friendly, fast service, good food. What more can you ask for?! if I'm hungry and I'm in the area I will definitely stop again!

Fish Blackened Soft Taco ($2.75) & Grilled Shrimp Soft Taco ($3.25)

*** $7 minimum to use credit cards *** Taco Grill is a long-standing local favorite seafood taco shop that has been around since 2000. [Parking]: Easy and free parking within a small strip mall. [Salsa station]: There's a self-serve salsa station with red, green, and house salsa. The red salsa was fairly spicy but flavorful while the others were just okay. [Menu]: It is a bit unusual that the menu doesn't list prices for each item. However, this taco shop is best known for its blackened fish taco, blackened fish house salad, and shrimp tacos. *** Fish Blackened Soft Taco ($2.75) & Grilled Shrimp Soft Taco ($3.25): The blackened fish taco had more flavor compared to the shrimp taco. While both were solid, the fish taco still didn't quite match up to the ones at Tacos Baja in East LA. I also got complimentary tortilla chips for my take-out order. I also want to note that the tacos come with double-layered tortillas so customers will feel more full, but I still prefer single-layer tortillas. *** A good spot for a quick and convenient fish taco fix at a reasonable price. If you are looking for the decent fish tacos without having to drive 15+ minutes away from Westminster, then this is probably your best option.

    No inflation or tariffs here!

Damn Taco Grill, where you been all my life. Corner of Newland and Heil obviously. Actually this place popped up a lot in my search for office breakfast burritos but they don't open until 9... A little too late for the office. But I finally made it here for takeout for the family and wow, were we impressed. First off, yes the prices aren't posted but not to worry, they are stuck in 2022. $10.75 for a wet CA burrito? Where you gonna find that? 3 beef taquitos with guac AND sour cream - $5.65. Blackened fish taco - $2.75 each. Damn Grill. Food is extremely delish and so very reasonably priced. Free chips included and they're thin and crispy. Orders are pushed out super fast. A little bit of a drive for me but so worth it. Go there. Get food. Eat it.

Tried out some tacos since it was close to home. Sat outside and loved the cool breeze. Luckily, I got here before the lunch rush. The loaded Carne fries were definitely undercooked, not our favorite. The quesadilla and quesabirria Carne asada were great. Good customer service. Great side options to garnish your food with. its taco tuesday no? usually theres a loooong line!

2nd favorite place for asada tacos. adobo taco grill still reigns supreme but theres always a loooong line there so this 2nd place is my go to. Big fluffy tortillas, still falls apart if too much liquid gets absorbed. Wouldve liked more onion/cilantro, sometimes its a sprinkling ratio to the meat. Usually its very decent, sometimes tho you get grisly unchewable bits. Complimentary bag of chips but lately theyve been very "stale"like yet super oily to whatever they touch so i pass. The mild salsa is awesome, albeit watery usually, low fire at first but will creep up on your mouth. By asada taco 2 my mouth will be in firey agony so will need a break, then when the hellfire subsides i return for 2 more. Blackened fish is a nice alternative, appreciate the sauce and cabbage slaw that comes with, it cuts through the asada heaviness. Be very careful if youre spice sensitive to the onion/jalapeno thing. im like ooh i love smothering everything in onions, looks like salt/pepper onions ill add a bunch! Those jalapeno pieces are either completely harmless or deathfire, they all look the same. One bite no danger, next bite imdead. Need ice cream or glass bottle coke. Cashier guy always seems a bit gruff, im scared to ask about the flan but when you yelp this place, the primary picture is literally the flan that i came here for :(( Menu has no prices since the covdemic, everything has a white paper taped over. but really why bother for very decent food? Parking is ultra hit or miss. Sometimes not a single spot in this shared laundromat, smoke shop, chiro, dentist, nail strip. And the smoke shop has its "reserved" spot. at least one pickup is illegally parked. And some kids on bikes hanging out in the alleyway. Other weeks? no line and multiple spots open. idontunderstandddddd! Card min $7. Taco tues is $1.99 ea / reg $2.75 (dec 2023) New card minimum is $6.50. Taco tues is 1.99 (aug 2023)

Bacon bits I pulled out of the burrito, still she claimed there was none.

I AM ALLERGIC TO PORK! My boyfriend is not allowed to eat pork either, we made an order over the phone and specifically asked to not have pork in our food, a breakfast burrito still had pork. What I had ordered was huevos rancheros and wasn't told it came with pork, Since I am allergic I called the place politely to ask if I may pick up a new plate and burrito since they both have pork. This lady at the register immediately stated asking the cook and arguing with him that why does it have pork and although I am going out of my way to call because I am allergic to it she kept saying "well he says it doesn't have pork" I offered to bring it in and she said "sure ,but I know it doesn't have pork" Very rude so I came in and she started name calling me and my mom that isn't even present. I will be suing this establishment due to her treatment and lack of awareness to the situation. I could end up in the hospital due to this and I now have to re order food elsewhere and spend mor

    1. The tacos were filling and delicious! I like the flavors of the fried fish taco the most! 2. The spot has fun casual vibes with indoor and outdoor seatings! 3. The staff were friendly, and they will do table service for dine-in! 4. Parking lot is small! 5. There is a bathroom on the side in the back! Ok this place gets 5 stars for the Al pastor alone.. I haven't even tried the rest yet and ate the Al pastor taco on the way home in the car but that was easily one of the best Al pastor tacos I've ever had. Ambiance was fine and they had a salsa bar, which is a plus and the Diablo salsa was pretty tasty. Person taking orders was nice and thorough. I'll update after I try the rest and add pics of the other stuff but I doubt it will change how I feel about this place.. it is my new Al pastor spot that I have so desperately been looking for in this area for years! Good job guys, good job. Update: ok, this place is the best Mexican food in Orange County and I'm fat and Mexican is my favorite food so I know what I'm talking about. Ate my shredded beef wet burrito and it was the best I think I've ever had. This spot is amazing!!!

The food here is fantastic. So far my favorite Mexican restaurant in Huntington Beach. I come here once a month to eat their amazing wet green sauce burritos. I like the casual ambiance. On this latest trip I got the shrimp rancheros and it was great. I love how consistent good is their food. The plate comes with rice, beans and avocado.

I got fish, shrimp, and a potato taco since supposedly that was good too, it was very crispy and flavorful, my favorite though is from The Corner in HB for a mashed potato taco ;) SHRIMP: think this was primo - shrimp felt warm, big, juicy, flavorful, there was hotsauce on it as the menu states iirc. Might consider getting TWO of these instead of the fish. FISH: solid! Comparable to the ensenada fish tacos in fullerton I think? Or maybe that one is slightly better, been awhile. Overall - solid spot, not the cheapest but the quality is good and they don't skimp on protein. Not as good as tacos los cholos but that's further away, this is next door and again - they specialize in different meats!

Even their regular price is still very reasonable. There was definitely a line around 6pm but it moved quickly. Love that they also have a self service taco condiments bar and area on the side of their truck where you can top your food with the freshly sliced or pickled veggies/chilis and slather on various taco sauces to your heart's content. Especially loved that they use a rotating gyro style meat grill for some of their meats. What an efficient way to keep up with demand by having a mobile/secondary vehicle that you can use for storage of stock to keep up with the high demand. I loved all the street tacos that I tried: carnitas, fried fish filet, al pastor, carne asada. Flavorful and done right!
