I saw a lot of bowls of Menudo, which is probably not an every day special. I had a fried fish taco which came with a nice amount of cabbage and extras. The fish was ok, but there was a lot of batter and added crunchy things, like breadcrumbs to make it crispy. I would have preferred more "fish" flavor. My friend had a chicken enchilada and um... something else in his two item combo, but did say "this is good" during our dining experience here. Nice homemade salsa bar with a delicious slightly chunky red salsa. I tried the jalapeno-onion mix also and although delicious, I had to take a few deep breaths to cool off. My boyfriend had the carne and shrimp tacos and said he LOVED both, but the shrimp was his favorite just ever so slightly. The price? It cost less than going for some nasty fast food! I usually prefer Asada over chicken, but a review prompted me to try the latter. The taco was PACKED with shredded chicken, but the meat itself was just a tad dry. We ordered for pickup, we were told 15 minutes and I arrived in 10. The carne asada fries.... Seems like they premade a bunch of these and just popped it in the oven to warm them up. A friend told us that his favorite taco spot is around the corner from where we live. We kept meaning to check it out and finally had a chance to on a Taco Tuesday. For Taco Tuesday, they have chicken, asada, carnitas, and blackened fish soft tacos for $1.65 each. We tried all of them and also got the Super Nachos ($7) recommended by our friend. Their speciality is the blackened fish so we got 4 of those tacos. It really lived up to his recommendation - there is a great sauce that goes on the fish tacos and they really pile the tacos up high! That's what brought the rating all the way to 5 stars. I had half the nachos and 1 fish taco and I was full! It was so worth it for the price, especially on Taco Tuesday.
