this has been my go-to taco truck for awhile now, and every time i try a new taco truck, i always find myself coming back here! i love how tender all the meats are no matter which ones you get. my personal favorite is the al pastor, but i've also tried the suadero, cabeza, and more and have never had a bad taco! i love coming here on THE weekly national holiday (taco tuesday) since the tacos are about $1-2 each and the horchata is about $4-5. speaking of the horchata, it's always made well and perfectly sweetened without being grainy at all! i appreciate how they put the onions and cilantro on for me bc i get skeptical of other people's hygiene sometimes if it's self serve, so this really eases my mind. the salsas are all self serve (they give you unlimited cups) and each of them are yummy in their own ways! some of them are actually super spicy too so i'm glad they deliver the heat !!! overall, el toro de oro stays as my favorite taco truck! read more

Earlier this month I was in the Little Saigon area (Westminster) of Orange County in Southern California on a Taco Tuesday with family and discovered this food truck in the ABC Grocery store shopping lot on the intersection of Magnolia and Bolsa. Decided to drop in and was delighted to know their Taco Tuesday special is $1 street tacos for a select handful of 8 protein fillings and $2 for 6 other choices. Even their regular price is still very reasonable. There was definitely a line around 6pm but it moved quickly. Love that they also have a self service taco condiments bar and area on the side of their truck where you can top your food with the freshly sliced or pickled veggies/chilis and slather on various taco sauces to your heart's content. Especially loved that they use a rotating gyro style meat grill for some of their meats. I also noticed they had another truck/van parked nearby where one of the staff would go to replenish some of their supplies for their taco truck. What an efficient way to keep up with demand by having a mobile/secondary vehicle that you can use for storage of stock to keep up with the high demand. I loved all the street tacos that I tried: carnitas, fried fish filet, al pastor, carne asada. Flavorful and done right! Definitely recommend this spot any day of the week when they're open, but especially for their Taco Tuesday specials. read more

This taco truck is definitely under-appreciated. It's rare to find $1.50 tacos, especially at this quality (and only $1 on Taco Tuesdays) They don't skimp on the meat (but on Tuesdays I can't tell if the portions are smaller?), and their salsa/toppings are self-serve, so you're more than getting your money's worth. We always get asada and al pastor. Al pastor is very well-flavored, and with the pineapples, it's *chefs kiss* (they don't always add the pineapples so I make sure to ask. There's been a couple of times I've asked when placing a phone order and they've forgotten. The tacos are still great without it though) Personally I feel it's pretty comparable to Tacos el May (meat quality there is admittedly better) but you're still getting great tacos here for only half the price! Honestly, this place is terrible. It doesn't come close to the superior Tacos El May right next door. I used to come here on Taco Tuesdays only because the tacos were $1 and the line at El May is always too long. I chose convenience over taste, but in the end, this place offers neither. On my last visit, I waited about 40 minutes for my tacos. I ordered six and only managed to eat three before realizing I had overpaid and that the $1 tacos weren't worth my time or the effort it took to chew them. I threw the remaining three straight into the trash. I genuinely chose to go hungry rather than finish them. The meat and tortillas were both bad, and the portion sizes were pitiful. This was our second time coming to this taco truck. The only reason we like this truck is for a salsa they have for the tacos. Other than that the meat is mid. Today we came and ordered 8 tacos and the lady gave us 3 SAUCE CUPS. When we asked if we could have a few more the lady helping us got an attitude with us and told us it would be an extra charge. Which we understand that they want to portion control so we said that we don't mind paying more. She tries charging us and THEIR machine wasn't working and she got annoyed and told us just straight up no. So we just said whatever. Now when we went to go pour our salsas I swear on my momma that the wind blew away some of our cups! We went to tell the lady our cups got blown away and if we can just get two more and she was still giving us problems about getting more cups!! The al pastor with pineapple is another must try. It is sweet, savory, and has just the right amount of char. Taco Tuesday here is amazing. One dollar tacos make it one of the best deals around. You cannot find this level of quality at that price anywhere else. And the chipotle sauce deserves its own shoutout. It is honestly addictive. I do not think I can go back to eating tacos without it. They are often overlooked because of the hype around Tacos El May, but do not sleep on El Toro De Oro. The food is incredible, the prices are great, and the flavors will keep you coming back. I love this taco truck. The food is amazing and the service is too. The staff is so sweet and nice and helpful. After tying them out once back in March '24 I have not stopped going. I loved their tacos so much I referred them to my work and we have catered with them 3 times now. Everyone at my work loved them. I work for a corporate setting company and we have a variety in people but everyone loves them. I asked one for plain chicken no seasoning for my pup and they made it ! Luckily they had some plain chicken! She loved it. My bf also loves the tacos and quesadillas. I took some for my mom too and she loved all the salsas an options. The asada was just okay and the carnitas was the best but a bit dry. Their salsa bar isn't that fresh because I grabbed radishes and it was sour as if it went bad.
