Tacos 4 Life is a great concept - for every meal you purchase, one is donated to a child in need. The menu is pretty expansive with lots of different types of tacos to try. I ordered the Mango Habanero taco which was delicious. I loved the fresh mango salsa and it was just spicy enough without being too hot. I also got the Chicken Bacon Ranch taco which I didn't like as much. The ranch was a little too plentiful and it made for a sloppy, wet taco experience. Both tacos were stuffed full of toppings, so I suggest starting off with your fork. The chips and queso were outstanding. I love the seasoning blend on the chips! Far enough from the interstate to thin out the tourists; this taqueria is well above standards - on food quality and service it competes favorably with the best of the premium street taco vendors. The puffed flour taco sheels are a unique touch that I've never seen, and we loved it! The Carnitas Tacos were flavorful without being too greasy - score! The seasoning on the Chicken got high marks, and my son even enjoyed his - gasp - Tofu Taco! Hah! The sides offered on the meals are great, and my salad was superb! The taco strips and black beans put it over the top! Soft drinks or tea; no ETOH. This place has a heart; they dinate one meal to homeless people for each diner! Plenty of parking out back. Our first time (traveling through), and we were impressed. Service was great, food was fresh (I will use this word a lot). We especially love the fight to end hunger. Trio dips - a must! Chips are delicious and seasoned, dips are fresh flavor. Rice bowl with mahi mahi (no sauce) was just right. Mango/habanero and chipotle steak tacos - "not sure which one I like more." Tacos are not small and are nicely stuffed. Tortillas are - you guessed it - fresh (not dry and from a bag)! Fantastic experience both in food and service! The tacos were stuffed full of fresh ingredients and placed in individual "Taco Racks" so they didn't spill all of their tastiness onto the plate. I sat outside at a picnic style table under an umbrella but there are 3 options for you. Inside with booths, inside with garage doors open to the outside with tables and chairs and where I sat munching on an awesome Chips and Queso appetizer! Not having been here before I had to try their Crunchy Ground Beef offering and it did not disappoint! I added a Blackened Mahi Taco which was tasty and a Chicken Mango Habanero Taco that had a good kick of heat. I have wanted to try this place for years on one of our annual trips to Conway. I finally had my chance, and it fully lived up to expectations! Service was awesome (they keep the dining room exceptionally clean) and the food was ready quickly. They gave us our personal size salsa and chips at the counter, and the amount was plenty for two adults and a kid. Note that the tacos here are larger than street taco size, so two makes a pretty good meal. I had the Korean BBQ steak and mahi mahi tacos, and both offered a delicious blend (if dangerously messy) of textures and flavors. My husband had the chipotle steak taco and chicken quesadilla, which also came with rice, and everything was fantastic. I definitely want to come here again and try more tacos. read more

The food is usually pretty good, can be hit or miss at times. The service is good, employees are very helpful and very knowledgeable about the menu. They will walk you through the menu options and have you enjoying your food in no time at all. Is a bit pricey, but they claim to donate a meal for every meal they sell. They donate a small bag of rice to support starving children in another country. I enjoy the chipotle steak tacos as my go to tacos. read more

In town on business and the colleague and I cruise by this place, with both of us being amateur taco connoisseurs and basic fatties, we had to stop in at a place called "Tacos 4 Life". The basic set up of the place is a Chipotle style set up where you view the menu on the wall, walk up to a counter to order/pay, but instead of getting your food at the counter you take a seat with a number and they deliver to you. Me and my buddy ended up with a couple of tacos each and an order of the cheese dip to start. They delivered the cheese dip with quickness and I must say, we were both very impressed. It was amazing! Second our tacos were delivered within minutes. I opted for the chicken bacon ranchero and the fish taco, which may I add were both delicious! I sided my tacos with the cilantro rice, even though it was a tough choice between the Mexican corn and rice, I feel I would I would have came out on top with either one. So, I Minnie mini moe'd it, rice it was. Seating - They have a large portion of inside seating, but also feature an outdoor eating area with a portion that is covered and a portion that is not. The outside area features large illuminated signs, picnic style tables and garage doors. Overall, I was and still consider myself a fan of Tacos 4 Life Grill. When back in the AK area for a little bit of work or pleasure, I will certainly swing in for one of those gnarly fish tacos! read more

I have enjoyed this restaurant many times in the past. The food has been excellent. My last experience was terrible and insulting. Tonight, I stood in line for about 15 minutes in a restaurant full of people without masks, and at the end of that time they informed me they would not serve me without a mask. OK, then why did you look at me in line for 15 minutes and let me stand there in your restaurant? I went out of my way on a trip home to stop at a restaurant I've enjoyed in the past. I would habe had way less of a problem if they wouldn't have looked at me, seen my lack of a mask, and waited until I got up to order at the end of a long line to tell me "nope." Again, the restaurant was full of people without masks. So I guess it's just magic when you're in line versus when when you're ordering. I guess their table seats are magically protected. The teenagers from the sports team in the line ahead who were not wearing masks were magically able to order because the people paying for them were wearing masks. If you're not going to serve me unless I do something, let me know as soon as you see me. Don't waste my time. read more

It just isn't very good. Tried it many times over the years. The cheese dip is bland. The tacos are not nearly as flavorful as the ones you will find at any of the half-dozen taco stands around town. The specialty tacos use an excessive amount of sauce to make up for the underwhelming composition. It's all insanely overpriced. This place might have good intentions and be run by good people. I'm not suggesting otherwise. I loved Pitza42, actually. I just feel like people go here largely just to be a part of some local experience more so than for the food. I love the variety with this place, after a while you'll know the menu backwards and forwards but the tacos range in flavor. I think I'll be doing a disservice if I didn't gush about the chips. The seasoning is awesome and the queso that comes with it is probably one of the best. My complaint is common for places that sell tacos and Mexican food, getting food that is cilantro free is sometimes an issue. Sometimes they do well and remember but often they just don't. I'm now obsessed! These were the best tacos I've ever had and the queso and chips were very tasty. My refried beans were a bit soupy but flavor was good. The watermelon strawberry punch was fresh tasting and not too sweet. The atmosphere is upbeat, well decorated and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. I love the Mahi tacos here!! All the tacos are delicious but those are my favorite! The sides are delicious too, creamed corn with cotija cheese, cilantro pesto rice, or simple black beans are my top 3. I hardly get to eat here because it's so far from where I live, but anytime I am in Conway I try to make it a point to come here. The message is good, they donate for every taco purchased, and the food is worth the price you pay. This particular visit was above and beyond excellent. I ordered a meal for 'here' and a couple orders for family for 'togo'. After I received everything and started working on my tacos, someone wanted me to bring something else home too, so I downloaded the app (an employee suggested that downloading the app offers an instant free taco) so I ordered and the employee that helped place my original order noticed I was doing something on my phone and asked if my original order was correct and if everything was well. I said yes but I was adding something else in the app for togo. He was kind enough to offer to have the kitchen start it as I was finishing sending the order through. I didn't have to wait after I finished my meal for the additional togo order and he even offered to refill my strawberry watermelon punch. Prior to our visit yesterday, this place has been one of our favorite spots. However, we left feeling disappointed in the service and food and probably will not be back for a long while. We ordered cheese-dip as an appetizer to hold us over until our order was ready. This was delivered after our meal. Our order sat on the counter for a good 10-15 minutes with several staff members walking by, until one employee asked another to deliver it. By the time we received it, our tacos and SOUP were cold. The food was for the most part good, but cold. There were only about 4 tables of customers in the restaurant when we arrived, so I can't attribute the lack of service and efficiency to busyness and/or lack of staff. Finally, when getting ready to leave, I went to the counter to ask for some to-go lids and refills and the young women assisting me (no name badge so I can't identify) looked at me blankly and replied with a flat tone, "Can you take your lid off?" No engagement at all. Can I at least get service with a smile? I never leave reviews, but the service and cold food left us feeling disappointed and sad with one of our staples. We were set out from Nashville on a trip to Arizona. We stopped in here the first day for dinner and it was so good, we decided to make it a waypoint on the way back! We tried five different tacos and they were all great! The Mexican Cream-style Corn is impeccable and the Refried Blacks Beans were on point. The chips and queso were great! The chips are huge!!! The housemade fruit punch was very real. We bought a gallon on the way home! The customer services was really awesome too! Used to be good but now they never get your order right and even when they do the quality is not consistent. I've had fish tacos where the fish wasn't even cooked all the way. If you ask for additional things to be added, most of the time they forget. And sometimes you get sauce and sometimes there's barely any on the taco which makes it dry. So disappointing today. I have a green pepper allergy so asked, as usual, to sub chopped tomatoes and jalapeños for their pico, no big deal. It should be a side on the quesadillas I ordered. Instead, tomatoes were cooked inside along with these monster jalapeño slices that I couldn't eat. Too, too hot with the seeds. I picked all of them out. I was also charged $1.50 for this. When I asked the shift manager Colton he said it was not cost effective to serve it this way. Really, weird that you advertise hand cutting the pico daily but these monster chunks cost you more to make? He did offer to remake it correctly but no refund. One of the persons I was with had already completed her meal by the time I got my food. We were on the same number so our food should have come together. It was nearly 20 minutes later. When I declined remaking, Colton merely walked away. No other offers of correction, compensation, apologies, nothing. It's not the $1.50, it's the customer service. This Visit was from right before Covid-19 shut everything down. Had heard forever that I needed to go eat away a Tacos4Life and when I finally did, I have to wonder what the big deal is all about. The Food was so bland that no amount of sauce could add enough flavor to give it any real taste. Plus you add in the Price and it blows one's Mind that so many People recommend eating here. I understand that they donate part of the Profit but if you double the Price that something is worth, it seems to be me doing the Donating and they are getting the Credit (and tax cut). If the good tasted better, like anything really, the cost might be worth it but there are so many better Tex-Mex Restaurants around Conway, it makes better sense to eat at one of them and just make a Donation on your own. The Staff was also slow to get Tables cleared and had very poor attitudes. Since it was our first time there we had some questions, the staff seemed put out to answer. Internet food memes, what chaos hath thou wrought? Those were my first thoughts upon approaching the monument to Tex-Mex fare known by the unmistakable callsign Tacos 4 Life. It's a small, shotgun style building wedged next to a block containing three pharmacies in the heart of Conway's business district. And, true to its name (to say nothing of the online foodie devotion upon which its premise was surely built), it serves up all manner of tortilla-wrapped deliciousness with pseudo-gourmet flare. On my visit, those efforts took the form of a grilled chicken taco, a chipotle steak taco and a chicken quesadilla, all of which were splendid and collectively cost less than $20. I enjoyed them amid an ambiance caught somewhere between trendy and kitschy, surrounded by other customers who ran the gamut from cranky senior citizen to hungry middle schooler. All in all, I got exactly what I expected from a low key, counter-order Mexican spot, and won't hesitate to return in the future. read more
