SO GOOD I'm a huge fan of Mexican cuisine, and one thing I value is the authentic atmosphere when I step into a Mexican restaurant or Cantina. From the music to the aroma of the scratch made food and the traditional Mexican decor, it sets the perfect mood for a dining experience that transports you to Mexico and this place offered all of the above! The service was fantastic, and the food did not disappoint. The chips were light and flaky. The salsa was perfectly flavored with a little bit of cilantro and mild flavors that were not overpowering, but just had the perfect kick. We ordered taco, enchilada, and a child's chicken fajita plate. Everything tasted wonderful. It reminded me of being back in Arizona, which is where I grew up and often traveled into Mexico for authentic Mexican food. Great food served quickly by a very efficient wait staff. We had a group of 7 that grew to 10, and they accommodated our late-comers with no problem. The place was full, but we were seated quickly. We all recommend the mango margaritas. Only downside was the temp was a bit warm inside. Perhaps as is was one of the first cooler fall days, but still a bit stifling. read more

The plates of food were huge and plenty to share with somebody. The service was decent until we found a hair in the food and the waitress' response was a sort of oh well shoulder shrug. Other than that it was a solid place to eat. read more

We had the House Shrimp and it was excellent! Lots of perfectly cooked 30-32 sized shrimp in a light creamy tomato sauce, accompanied by perfect Mexican Rice and avocado. The tortilla chips were good but the table salsa was bland and unremarkable. Virtually no heat. Service was a little slow, but I will be going back. read more

The food is so great and the happy hour drinks are so real and not watered down like so many places. The food was excellent, so was the service with Alex as our waitress we appreciate her so much. She waited on us hand and foot and brought us so many salsas and made sure our margaritas were full to the top during happy hour. We have lived right around the corner for going on 2 years now and never been here until today. Food was no good at all! Steak was beyond bland. No flavor at all. It was overcooked from what I asked for. My son's cheeseburger was pretty much raw in the center. It took forever to get our food. The food wasn't good at all. The queso was super runny and had no flavor at all. The rest of our food was very bland and super mediocre. The only entree ordered (out of 6 people) that was good was the fajitas. Those were awesome! But the molcajete entree had chunks of unmelted cheese in it that never melted, the milanesa was soggy and the kids quesadilla was barely cooked. Big shoutout to Tony! We love the food here and have to get it to go as mom can't go out to eat. She wanted fajitas and I know mistakes happen. I should have checked the bag before I left. Got home and we didn't have fajitas but had pork tacos. I called and talked to Tony and he said the next time we were in he'd take care of it. So sweet of him. It appears that they lost a chef that put together some very fine meals. This last time I was there were no spices of any kind that I could taste. It was simply meat rolled up in tortillas. Also there was not any salsa other than what was used for a chip dip. I have eaten there when what I was served was very good and always had the proper amount of flavorful seasonings. I was very disappointed when I ate there with my family the one and only time. First, the lady's room was filthy. While waiting for the food to come, the ceiling fell in just barely missing a table of about six people. I actually watched it come down like in slow motion. My food was not good. I grew up on Tex-Mex, but this place is pretty good. I ordered the Enchiladas Verdes (ordered all 3 enchiladas with chicken instead of the one chicken/one beef/one cheese listed on menu). Verde sauce ... Excellent! Chicken... Excellent! Rice...Excellent (and rice can be tricky)! The salsa reminds me of generic store-bought, but the chips are fantastic and the Appetizer Plate provides a nice sample of different foods (and is so large that it would make a great meal). The service was great and the prices were very reasonable with a large selection on the menu. I would have liked to see tortilla soup on the menu, but all in all I would give this place 5 stars! read more

This is the only Mexican place that I found that I actually like. I lived in New Mexico for 10 years before moving to Arkansas. Food is always fast and hot. Prices are great! Service is friendly. Sometimes they don't understand what you say when you order but that's not a big deal. I've never had bad service. :) My husband and I go there at least 3 times a month. read more

This place used to be my date night spot. Not anymore. Came in for coffee and desert. After coming back with waters our (older) waiter tells us they don't have coffee. THAT'S WHAT HE TOLD US LAST TIME WE WERE THERE!!!! I complained about it and he said he will go look again. Comes back minutes later and says that he is making coffee. Yes, I understand that may be inconvenient to you to make a pot of coffee.. but that is your job ! Anyways, comes back with coffee, I ask him for cream, he tells they don't have any !!! I met the owner in Jacksonville and was told they had another location here and we asked if they could make ceviche for us. It's not on the menu but they made it for us and it was amazing, best I've had since Puerto Vallarta. When was the last time the owner and his wife made a special request for a customer. Delicious! As good as it gets for the americanized mexican food, and admit it! Though we want authenticity, we Americans want the option to have anything we want doused in cheese dip. Very good priced, wide variety of excellent mexican food. Fresh salsa, perfect chips. Very large portions and great service, the food also came out in record time too (not to mention we ate at the 7:30pm rush)but still very fresh. Decor is a bit on the gaudy side but a very comforting atmosphere. Would def reccomend to anyone and will eat here again anytime we are passing through. read more

We were traveling to Houston from Springfield, Missouri and happened upon this restaurant. I was traveling with my daughter alone, and tired after four straight hours in the car. Manny, our server and the front host greeted us quickly and promptly. We had our drinks within a minute or so, even though it was lunch time and the place was busy. The food was great, especially chips and queso. Manny was a great waiter, and reminded me what great customer service is like (something we don't get very often in Houston.) We will definitely stop at this place again when we travel back to Branson this summer. read more

Meh. I know from a past relative that someone's other relative had opened up rotten tomatoes in the school cafeteria. They emailed the people they got them from and told them they'd email this restaurant. The restaurant emailed the school that they'd take them for the salsa. The staff isn't very good. At all. I placed a call in order and got home only to see I got the wrong order. I called and they said they replace it just to come back the next day so I did. I go to get my replacement order and it's filled with grease, so bad that it overflowed into the bag and I had nothing to eat with.
