When in Grand junction, you aren't left with many options for authentic foods. I ended up here and was fairly surprised. The menu is constantly changing so don't rely on my review for things to get. One thing I love is that they use fresh ingredients and have an open kitchen concept. Menu items are a bit steep for nothing much going on in town. For 4, I spend $132 for dinner. Their tortillas are big but the meat to taco portions vary from taco to taco. I'll rate what I got. Taco party Margarita - 750 ml for $22. Very strong but had a bad lemon taste to it. It's made fresh daily and bottled for togo. I asked for salt on the side and they do a mix of hibiscus and salt. Grilled Skirt Steak taco $5 - Red chile marinade with gazpacho sauce, pistachio, and queso fresco and herbs. They put flowers on the tacos to make them asthetically pleasing. This was the worse taco of them all. I guess at this point i'll go from the worse to the best. Next up was the tempura cactus. $8. This needs salt ya'll! It was not crispy and tasted bland. Chips and salsa $7 . Ehhh I can live without Guac - $13 VERY hefty in price for a little container of guac. the plus ? It's fresh and has mangos... overall waste of $$ Hot Fried Chicken taco - $4.50 I wasn't expecting much for this one. You get a little fried chicken in a big tortilla. Interesting twist with crema mayo, onion escabeche, cabbage and melon? I didn't taste the melon so I'm not sure where it was. Pork Belly Al Pastor - $4.50 There's a LOT going on in this taco. Very saucy. Very Sweet and just overall delicious. The blend of flavors went together. Adobo Aioli, salsa seca, onion escabeche, corn shoots and the meat. Yellow tail tempura - $5.00 The fish tempera to tortilla ratio was SO off. I only got this because it was yellow tail. At this point, it had basically everything inside like the other tacos. Grapefruit aioli, onion escabeche, queso fresco, chile oil and sasa seca. Pulled pork - $4 Green chile sauce, herbs, mayacoba bean puree, radish pico and queso. Yes, the pulled pork was the best of all AND it was the cheapest. It was the only taco with a blue/black tortilla. Overall I love the creativity of this place and everything they stand for. They have a bright future for them. read more

Incredibly expensive for what it is. They added an 18% service fee for a to-go order. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Stopped by this place with my family while we were driving from Denver to Cortez. After being in the car for a few hours, we decided that we needed some real food on our stomachs instead of fast food. Immediately upon entering the environment was welcoming and bright. The staff was very helpful and very nice. There was more than one vegetarian taco on the menu, which I don't see often, so I got two. I have a hard time finding vegetarian tacos that really stand out to me. However, tacoparty's tacos were so flavorful and creative. I absolutely loved them. My family all got the birria and loved it as well. Additionally, for something as basic as starter salsa, theirs was next level. Gratuity is included on your tab and I had no problem with this because the service was great. The staff was constantly checking on us and refilling our drinks. I'm so glad we stopped in! read more

Best taco night ever. My only regret is getting full and not trying the soft serve. Ingredients taste fresh from the garden and everything comes together like a symphony. Each dish and each ingredient plays together perfectly. read more

Food: all the tacos we ordered were supppperr delicious. I was surprised by the quality of the food here because I didn't expect much from Grand Junction tbh. My favorite was the yellowtail tempura taco. It was super crispy and packed with flavor but not too overwhelming. The Al Pastor is also good but there were a lot of pork fat and the sauce is adobo and it was an explosion of flavor but it can get a bit too saucy ngl. The birria was super crunchy and packed with meat. The sauce that came with the birria was also delicious. My least favorite was probably the pulled pork because I'm not a big fan of beans, but if you like beans, then I'd recommend you order this. In terms of portion, they're about palm size. I ordered 3 for myself but I could have definitely eaten more. Location: it's located in downtown Grand Junction so it's a very good location since there's plenty of other things to do in downtown. Parking: We came on a Saturday night around 6-7pm and we were able to find parking easily (surprising for downtown). There's parking meter so parking may not be free depending on when you go but if you go later at night, most spaces should be free parking. Customer service: staff was friendly and helpful. They all looked happy and welcoming so it was a good vibe. The only downside was that food took a little bit long but it was kinda busy so it's not a big deal Misc: They automatically charge an 18% gratuity fee so just beware of that. Also some of their tacos come in sets of 3 (birria and grilled trout) so if you want to order those and have a variety of other tacos, you will need to bring someone else along to share with. There was seating when we went but it can be limited especially since we came in a Saturday night but I'd imagine there would be more seats available during off peak hours. Overall experience: I had a great time and the food was delicious. Next time I come to Grand junction, I'll def be sure to come here again. read more

Tacoparty - Everything we ate!!Delicious!!! - Tacos Near Me - Grand Junction, Colorado

This is a cool place to check out when you're in Grand Junction. It's not an authentic Mexican restaurant, so don't be bummed if things don't taste what you expect (e.g. their melon agua fresca wasn't what I was expecting). I over-ordered as usual, but to be fair, the guy said if we were hungry, to get 3 tacos each. My teen daughter ordered: Hot chicken taco Kid's quesadilla (who does this in a restaurant called TACO-party, especially when you're over 12). I ordered: Pork Belly Taco Duck Confit Tostada Cauliflower Taco Fish Taco Sweet Potato Taco Hey!! That's six tacos to the staff's reco, right??? OK, I forgot that I also wanted to order: Their famous guacamole Corn soft serve My daughter rolled her eyes at my ordering, but who knows when we're coming back right? We got to try it all. Everything was good and unique tasting. I probably should listen to my daughter since ordering so much and eating quickly I didn't really appreciate it but if I were to go back, I'd definitely order the guacamole, hot chicken taco, fish taco, and cauliflower taco. The other tacos were good too, though the duck confit tostada was a litle salty. The corn soft serve didn't have corn flavor, but that's ok. Enstrom's is down the street!!! They charge an 18% service charge, but the service is phenomenal. They kept checking on each entree, and when I told them I wasn't a fan of their agua fresca, they offered to bring me something else. read more

Wanted to try this place even before Guy Fieri stopped by and featured it on the food network. Started off with a delicious margarita, fried cactus and chips/salsa. For tacos, we tried a variety and LOVED the hot fried chicken. Ice cream was seriously so incredible and service was great!! Absolutely will be back! read more

The food was tasty, but it was way too expensive for the portions we received. I'm not sure if I'd return again.

I don't particularly like ordering at the counter so we sat at the bar and ordered there. We thoroughly enjoyed our beer and the tacos were delicious. Large variety to choose from. read more

I like Taco Party. But they could do better. The taco choices are sometimes too ambitious. The sauce sometimes too much. They do have a lot of vegetarian and gluten free options. Please make the taco less runny. The sweet corn white chocolate soft serve was fantastic. They have natural fountain sodas but they run about $3.50 each with tax. Last year the guacamole was perfect. This visit it was just okay. read more

Tacos were so good! But I can't help but be turned off by the prices. We got 5 street tacos, chips and salsa, and one margarita and the total was $68. They automatically tack on an 18% tip, which felt odd given the fact that you order at a counter. I would have had a pint of craft beer but they were charging $13 which amounts to nearly $16 with tax and tip. Ridiculous. read more

Whenever we are in Grand Junction, we head to Taco Party. Last time I was here it was closed even though Yelp and the door sign said they would be open. But we made it this time and met a longtime friend to share some tacos and drinks. The fried yam and cauliflower tacos took center stage this time - both delicious and interesting. I also had a yellowtail tempura taco and a bison taco and both were tasty. My husband got the Hot Fried Chicken taco which I've had in the past and it did not disappoint. The ingredients are locally sourced as much as possible and the flavors are always deliciously different. The margaritas are fabulous and just tart enough to make me not guzzle it. My friend had the orange wine, and I wasn't a fan, but she loves it and had 2 glasses! I also recommend the soft serve - we didn't get it this time, but usually this is how we end the meal and it's always worth the extra calories! We will keep coming back for the local food fun, the friendly staff, and great company we meet here. read more

Second time we ate at Taco Party. The elote was again very delicious. Just the right amount of sweet, savory, and spice. Also had the fried cactus as an appetizer. It was so good, we all were eating the crumbs and toppings that had fallen off. I had the chorizo tostada - it was very good. The pulled pork taco was also very tasty. We sat outside on a nice warm fall day. Will be back again. read more

Best staff ever. I know this review should be food related but I had to start off by saying that the staff there, from the guy taking the order to the person dropping of the food, was just just awesome. Genuinely friendly. The guacamole was amazing. The most flavorful restaurant made guacamole hands down. It has layers in flavors and the spicy was just right for "mild" that we ordered. The tacos are delicious. They are each their own adventure for the palate and all I can say is I encourage you to embark on that adventure. Yum. read more

Flavor: 5/5 Quality: 5/5 Portions: 5/5 Hospitality: 5/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5 Cost: $$ (moderate) My order: 3 tacos, pulled pork, yellowtail tempura, pastor pork belly Did not expect to eat anything so good this close to the Utah boarder. No offense to anyone who lives out here. These were pretty much perfect tacos (palette, texture, visual appeal). The person who served me said the head chef has received the James Beard award, and I understand why. Each taco was so unique. I wish I could have tried everything on the menu. But the pastor pork belly was my favorite. If I'm ever in this area again, this is the only place I'll eat at. read more

Ain't no party like a Tacoparty... I'm sure they've never heard that line before! A solid meal after wine tasting in Palisades. Tacos and margaritas sure hit the spot. It's crazy to think that in late October, the need for A/C is real, too. House margaritas are light and refreshing. Pairs just right with fish tacos. And chips and guac. Order at the counter and wait for them to call your name. Upscale fast casual. read more

Taco party! Yes please!! Such a gem for a short early dinner stop en route to Aspen. I highly recommend the detour to this trendy new place. This place is actually a combination of burger shop and taco place.. sounds weird but oddly works well. My kiddos were thrilled that they could get hot dogs...while adults were ecstatic about the taco options. Fried chicken taco was fantastic and the guacamole is very tasty. I especially loved the warm homemade chips that came with the guacamole. The wagyu beef tacos were good but the steak was a bit too chewy for my taste. The fried artichokes with garlic aioli dip were very original. They had premixed cocktails to prevent extra touching for Covid. I had the pink drink (vodka based) which was very refreshing. Very up to date with social distancing, very clean and everyone wore masks. Great experience even in these crazy times. Highly recommend! read more

Sometimes with hipster-looking places, the food is usually prettier than it tastes, not in this case! Delicious, creative tacos! Split six with a friend for dinner, which seemed like the perfect amount of food. Service was very friendly, and I loved that there was an option to eat takeout on the wooden structure directly outside the restaurant. While the options likely will change in the future, here's what we tried, ordered from favorite to least: 1. Wagyu skirt steak taco (wonderfully marinated, I could eat multiple of these next time and enjoy every bite) 2. Al pastor (enjoyed the flavors a lot, though meat was a bit tough) 3. Twice fried yam (reminded us of sweet potato fries which are always delicious 4. Hot fried chicken (chicken and corn was great, but didn't seem to go well with a taco shell) 5/6 fish taco, pulled pork taco (tasted pretty average) read more

My boyfriend and I were celebrating our anniversary last night and had an amazing time at taco party! It was the first place we ate at when we moved to GJ and we continue to love it more every time! The woman who took our order was very helpful when we were trying to make decisions when ordering and gave us very good advice. Their employees are very personable and stopped by our table to always make sure everything was perfect. It is noticeably clean, the decor is stunning and the food is absolutely mouth watering! Best tacos in town without a doubt! This place goes above and beyond in every aspect. Thankyou for always providing us with yummy food, drinks and a rememberable experience! read more

Over priced nothing and charged 18% gratuity to have my prison tray of food. The disgusting reused water bottle they give you has matter floating in it. This minuscule amount of food totaled $43. Food is mediocre at best! Every time you order a beer you have to go back to the counter and order again!

What a great find in Grand Junction! Tacoparty sounds exactly like what you'll be having when you visit, cause they have a great, eclectic selection of tacos to choose from. Some of the highlights included the Wagyu, Al Pastor, and surprisingly, the Yam and Cauliflower options. I normally wouldn't vouch for vegetarian tacos unless I had to, but the Yam one was genuinely a great taco that one should consider, whether they are vegetarian or not. The best thing we had at Tacoparty though might not have been the tacos, but rather they had a really phenomenal Chorizo Tostada, which was perfectly crispy and had a really nice bean puree on it. We also finished with the sweet corn and key lime pie soft serve, which were incredible as well! Plus the portion was very generous, so you definitely don't have to get two like we did! Highly recommend Tacoparty to anyone looking for some great fusion tacos! read more

Taco Party is a unique taco experience that provides nutritious delicious food with a delightful taste style. They have a restaurant area that is comfortable & conveniently separated for parties & couples as well as the individual diner. I ordered tacos & guacamole to-go after pursuing their menu, the staff was helpful and the cook makes beautiful food, even for to-go. There is an 18% service charge that acts as a gratuity, basically your tip is built into your total price for your meal. I did not have a problem with the service fee because the server remembered me on site and immediately went to bring me my to-go order. While I usually tip 20%, if there is a mandatory service fee applied, I believe the service fee should not exceed 18% because tipping is usually not mandatory. read more
