We arrived at 11:20 on a Saturday to find just one other family seated - the restaurant was clean and inviting with a welcoming atmosphere. As a newer restaurant, they're still expanding their menu (no rice and beans or queso yet), but the hostess was warm and helpful with recommendations for first-timers. Our horchata came first, followed by fresh chips and salsa. The horchata was delicious, not watery at all and full of flavor. They make all their specialty beverages in house, and you can tell! The chips were warm and fresh, and the salsa had a really great flavor to it, unique from other Mexican restaurants we've more recently been to. Our 4 year old daughter enjoyed the music and videos playing of Salsa dancers and other traditional Hispanic dances while we waited for our food. The quesabirria and carnitas tacos were both excellent - full of flavor and clearly made with care! We're already planning our next visit to try more of the menu. This is my new go-to in Fruita!!! The street tacos are fantastic. The Carnitas are done if the best I've ever had. The pollo is excellent as well. I drive an hour just to get their food or stop after recreating in Fruita. Their service is friendly and goes out of the way to make a perfect meal. Highly recommended!!!! read more

This place is really annoying. The tacos are ok, but they aren't worth $6 each. On top of that, they charge a mandatory 18% gratuity on all orders. I'm not cheap. I like good food and good service and I believe in paying for both, but this isn't a service restaurant. It's a walk up window for tacos. The owners are just too cheap to pay their employees well, so they put it on the customers. The food is not great. Some of it is ok, but the birria tacos come out soggy and dripping and the Elote is mostly mayonnaise, which is pretty disgusting. Sadly, there aren't really any good Mexican restaurants in Fruita or Grand Junction, so this place is at least edible and they do have spicy salsa, which seems to be a rarity around here, but the whole place annoys me. Also, the floor is cracked and uneven and someone is going to trip and fall, which is a liability. read more

Just had another FANTASTIC dinner! The Asada tacos are simply perfection! The service, atmosphere, and cleanliness of the restaurant is impeccable! Very reasonably priced. This is, by far, our absolute favorite Mexican food! We were a fairly large party, 7 adults and 1 child. All of our food came out hot, perfectly prepared and very little wait time. The pozole my husband ordered had a great cabbage mix on top, and the meat was very tender with a robust spiciness. He also had a fish taco, which came nice and crispy. We ordered the chips and salsa plus guacamole and the chips were hot and fresh, as was the guac and salsa. It is also served with a slaw that complements both other chip items.
