Yuck. Cat food tacos covered in raw onion. So. Many. Raw. Onions. I had to knock a handful of onions out of the tacos I got. Service was extremely slow as well- which was odd because it was completely empty. The chip with the 'chip and queso' came in a bag. Very odd. I did not like it. Taste wise, the chips and queso were fine. The ambiance was cute. It was a good place to sit because it was so empty when we went. Overall I would not recommend or go back. read more

I love the tacos and they have long been a staple for me living nearby, but what makes me give the review is the service. I made a mistake and submitted an order for the Plano location on accident, but they were so kind and quickly just made the tacos for me here even though I paid the other location. Great customer service even when I, the customer, was at fault. They saved my morning. read more

This review is for the vegetarian tacos only. (I think it would be quite easy to veganize them by asking for no cheese/asking to cut out certain sauces.) They offer 5 different kinds of vegetarian tacos (one of which is vegan as ordered), made with organic ingredients "when they can" (which is . . . when? But still, nice to know!) I tried the papadulce, space cowboy, and frontera fundido, all of which were good, though the two mushroom-based tacos were somewhat similar. Annoyingly, the menu posted on the wall (and online) doesn't have prices, but the menus you hold in your hand in store do. The tacos are around $3.50 - $4 each, which in my book is just an okay price for tasty (though not mind-blowing) vegetarian tacos. I also got a small order of sauteed spinach. I didn't know how to imagine how small the 4 oz portion was, but yikes, it's super tiny - I know spinach condenses a lot as you cook it, but I wouldn't pay $2.50 for such a small little container of spinach again. I popped in to Tacodeli at 2:30 for a late lunch; they close at 3:00, but were very gracious about serving me and the other patron in the restaurant, and didn't make me feel rushed at all. read more

Tacodeli is a chain with their tacos being everywhere. Today I stopped by to pick up a taco from their stand-alone location. I started with an Horchata drink without ice. I've had a lot of horchata before and I was a little dissapointed with this one as it was incredibly grainy and made me want to cough whenever I took a sip. I was impressed with how great the staff was and how clean the restaurant is. The employees definitely put some time into making sure the restaurant looks great. Great selection of drinks, so next time I'll try something else instead of horchata. The wait was a little long for two tacos and being the only customer but, I'd say it was worth it. Overall it was good food and a great atmosphere would try again, if there was a shorter wait. read more

Tacodeli - Horchata, Salsas, Drink Station - Tacos Near Me - Dallas, Texas

The hubs and I dropped by for lunch on a Sunday, and it was pretty packed. Prepare for a wait before you even order, although tables seemed to free up relatively quickly. The queso has pretty good flavor, but was way too watery for my tastes. The shining star was actually the tortilla chips that are oddly served in prepackaged clear bags. I had two breakfast tacos on corn tortilla (one tortilla each, not two like a street taco), and they had pretty good flavor. The tortilla kept falling apart because of the moisture from the eggs. The hubby enjoyed his shrimp tacos, but we both agreed that we'd rather go to Torchy's instead for the price and experience. On the bright side, try their hot green salsa. It was goooood! read more

This review is for breakfast tacos only. Great spot for breakfast tacos. I usually get tacodeli's breakfast tacos to-go since it is so close to my workplace. My usual go to is Freakin vegan and Vasquez. I don't know what they do with their black beans, but they are soo good. And I am not a bean person. Also, their hot sauces are pretty spicy but good! I would definitely try their lunch menus when I get a chance. read more

This was my first meal after we got the announcement "restaurants will not allow dine in" due to the COVID-19 virus. I called and Sarah was so great taking my order via telephone and making sure my order was right. I even made a mistake myself and she fixed it when I picked up my tacos with a big smile on her face. I'll be honest I've eaten here many times and the tacos are great. But I'm leaving this review because in times like these Sarah was a bright light it didn't hurt she had tacos too anyone needing food in this time, or after this passes, go see Sarah and Taco Deli read more

Major downhill slope on customer service. They used to be friendly and fast. Now it seems that everyone who works there is mad they have to work and the government took their unemployment away. One little smile or a "thank you for coming in" really goes a long way, you guys. Also, the cleanliness of the restaurant has changed as well. Dirty tables, food on the floor. Sigh. I guess I have to find a new taco place. Luckily this is Dallas and there are hundreds of them ! read more

Came in on the Friday after thanksgiving. I had the shrimp taco and sirloin taco. Hubby had pork taco and a chicken taco. Huge onions and the shrimp had an awful after metal taste. Nothing tasted good. Definitely not coming back and will stick to something else. Both my husband and I took a couple bites and was disappointed with the flavors. Don't think I would come back again. Staff was friendly food was taken to the table fast. It was crowded as well. I hope that if you order the shrimp it will taste better than mine was. read more

Always a good stop when you a running late to your doctor's appointment. I was in need of breakfast before they took my blood at Presbyterian and knew that there was a tacodeli near by. I stopped in and ordered the Breakfast Otto taco (hopefully i got that right). It's made up of avocado, bacon and black beans. It was filling and flavorful. I will continue to stop here if i have any additional doctors appointments. read more

Tacodeli is my favfavfav. This Austin-based chain has been my go-to for breakfast tacos for quite some time. I love that they are now popping up all over Dallas. My only gripe is that they don't serve breakfast tacos all-day unless it's the weekend. What if it's a Thursday afternoon and I'm craving "The Otto"? Guess I'm SOL then. OH, and they also close at 3pm. No Tacodeli for dinner unfortunately. The best time to come is around 10:55am on the weekdays because you can order both breakfast and lunch tacos - they don't start serving lunch until 11:00am but you can place your lunch order in a littleee early and they'll have it ready a little after 11! Tacodeli has a little something for everyone. Vegans, vegetarians, gluten-intolerant, omnivores and carnivores unite! Ingredients are great quality, fresh, and locally sourced from all over the great state of Tejas. I've yet to have a taco I dislike from Tacodeli but my absolute favorite is The Otto! Pair it with their salsa doña and salsa habanero at their unlimited salsa bar and you got a winner. read more

Multiple visits. Pork belly taco meat is very dry & sparse. I ask for no cilantro, three times, they never got it right. All three times, tons of cilantro. Good if you love cilantro, sucks if you don't care for the taste. It's like, just scrape off the gravy, if you hate it...ummm no. Waste of money. read more

Great tacos available here. Stopped by here for the first time to try, it's located in a strip with plenty of food options. We wanted tacos and the options here are great. Any taco place I went to before does not offer options that are vegetarian (aside from something like black beans in a tortilla!) and that are tasty. The vegetarian in my family loved the tacos here and wants to go back again. The carne asada here is fresh and flavorful. We all thought that was a must to go get if you come here. The chicken tacos were all good here, especially if you put some of their tomatillo sauce on there. They had a good selections of sauces. The one thing that was something that I would suggest is to add prices to the menu board, this is seen on their paper menus, but not on their giant menu board. What impressed me the most here the tortillas. We all only had the corn so judging off that it was probably the best corn tortillas we ever had! This was the first place I went to that had fresh and yummy corn tortillas that were homemade it seemed (not sure). A lot of tacos places i been to never make fresh ones look the ones we had here. One of the best tacos we had we had here, I would definitely recommend you spot by and try some whether you want to try the vegetarian ones or the meat tacos! read more

We were the first people in line here, we love Roberto and his partner, we love the management here, we are in love with dona salsa. And the queso. If you haven't tried Tacodeli have you really lived yet? Once you go, get a loyalty card, you will be getting money back in a heartbeat as you will be here minimum 1 time a week, just as we are. Pup friendly on the patio, win win for me, breweries close for after we go to Holler with the food some days, it's a great day, take a date or take a group. Service is fast, impeccable if there is ever a problem, ask them! Tell them, people can't fix something they don't know! read more

Fun vibe and delicious food, great spot for brunch or lunch. Seriously can't go wrong with any choice on the menu

Good tacos, good salsa, good service! We had the Cowboy, Tacoloco, and Al Pastor tacos. All were great but the Tacoloco was especially good. The self-serve salsas available at the counter are very good as well (Doña is our favorite). We've also had the breakfast tacos on a separate occasion and they were great. This taco chain competes well with others like it in the area (Torchy's, etc.) A consistent theme at Tacodeli (even at different locations) is good customer service. The people at the counter are always extra friendly and helpful which goes a long way towards creating a positive experience. Quick tip: if you like coffee, Houndstooth is in the same shopping area and has phenomenal coffee! read more

I had my 1st and 2nd visits today! The first thing I noticed was the manager cleaning the window frames and floors. She was setting the example for everyone else. The crew was constantly wiping something down and clearing guest's plates. I had the Migas and the Jamon El Suavecito tacos for breakfast. They were both fresh and amazing! I came back for lunch with my mom, who loved the shrimp and the Frontera Fundido chicken tacos. I had the Frontera Fundido sirloin and the El Conquistador tacos. I have had tacos from all the place and these are right up there with the best! Certainly the freshest. I'll be back!!! read more

One word: obsessed. This is my hands down favorite non-conventional taco place in DFW. #TexansLoveTacos... is that a thing? I'm making it a thing. Let's get to the nitty gritty of Tacodeli. Not sure why this place has so many mixed reviews, but this place has got it going on. A super extensive menu that features breakfast + lunch tacos (they close super early - which is my only con about this place). Everything is fresh, tasty & they have some unique options. My all time favorite is the "freaking vegan", which is weird because i'm obsessed with meat and usually don't touch vegetarian or vegan options (hehe, sorry veggie friends + yelpers). The Freaking Vegan is black beans + avocado + pico. DROOOOOL. I also LOVE the spicy green Dona Salsa - but be warned it is SPICY. Killlller spicy but so good. Parking has never been an issue at this location, service is super friendly & you can also order for pickup which makes it a perfect lunch options. Check this place out for a non-conventional, fresh & unique taco place. Careful, it may become highly addictive. read more

One of my favorite taco place in Austin and found one in Dallas. Took my sister and her family here and they loved it. Queso and guacamole were delicious especially with habanero sauce. We all got shrimp tacos and loved it. Didn't disappoint at all. Kids liked the chicken and beef quesadilla. We were starving and ate fast, no pictures were available except leftovers kids finished. Not all of the tacos re great but a select few are becoming my favorite in town - The Sirloin Fundido for lunch and the Otto for breakfast. The guacamole is also excellent, distinctly made with corn. Queso is also good, especially with a meat added. Coffee is also good with the breakfast. read more

Quick service, amazing food, and not expensive at all. For people worrying about health, it is a very healthy option.

I went here on a business lunch and they ordered tacos and I got the Avocado Salad. The tacos looked amazing and my client was pleased! My salad was really good but there was just way too much dressing that it made it soggy. They also give a very small portion of protein if you add meat. I would like to return and try their tacos! They have very interesting choices and daily specials. Friendly staff, but it reminds me a little of torchys-which I think also originated in Austin? Correct me if I'm wrong :D. read more

I've always had taco deli at places that sold their tacos - royal blue grocery, top pot donuts, etc. I finally came to try out their location and I did not realize how much they advertised on fresh ingredients - yeah! Who doesn't like fresh and natural farm to table ingredients? I was also excited to see that they had the normal tacos that you would find at other venues that sell their tacos in addition to your "BUILD-YOUR-OWN" tacos. I ordered my tacos with chorizo, eggs, mashed potato (I wish they had chopped potatoes), queso fresco, jalapeños (not pickled), and grilled onions on corn tortilla. They have a variety of salsa that you can pack, which range from mild too hot. I chose the MEDIUM SALSA, which has a bit of a smoky flavor to it, and it truly was medium heat. I probably received my order by a friendly face, and by the time I got home to dig into it, I realized my onions or not cooked at all - thumbs down for onions for me. Overall, the service is really friendly, the venue was clean and user-friendly, but I feel compelled to check my order next time I leave, particularly if I'm going to request sautéed onions. read more

Tacodeli - Tacos Near Me - Dallas, Texas

I'm not sure why but Tacodeli has won a piece of my heart. If I'm ever hungry and it's before 3 PM, you can bet your bottom that I'm going to throw out Tacodeli as an option. First off, if you're going for lunch on the weekends, be prepared for how pack it gets. The good thing is that it's tacos so the traffic will always be constant and moving so you waiting for an open table isn't bad. Why is Tacodeli so great you ask? For one, their variety of tacos. Their menu is located at the front of the store and it literally fills up the whole wall. They arrange it by type of protein (chicken, beef, pork, veggie). My favorite is the carne asada, super flavorful and just delicious. Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with any of their tacos because their sauces on the side will make up for any lack of flavor or just add a kick of flavor. I admit, it is pricey but they give you a decent portion of protein to fill you up. Two tacos usually fill me up. I admit their hours are odd but if I was working there, I wouldn't be complaining! They get their customers still and there's a reason why. Don't knock them if you haven't tried them. Don't expect street taco prices because these are bigger and have more substance/variety. read more

Total Karen comment but I was the second person in the store when it opened and my order took 30 min. The first person got their order in leas than ten. There were plenty of workers. They should give priority to in person orders or have a separate work group for phone orders. I will never go back for breakfast. read more

Tacodeli - Breakfast burritos - Tacos Near Me - Dallas, Texas

I tried the fish and shrimp tacos. Both tacos were delicious and tasted very fresh. There are also many sauces to choose from to add extra flavors to your taco. Service was on point and quick. I'll definitely have to come back and try their other options especially the breakfast options. My only gripe is that they are only open for breakfast and lunch so when you are craving that evening taco, it is unfortunate that Tacodeli isn't open to satisfy those late night munchies. read more

I love Tacodeli. Their taco choices are tasty and interesting. The customer service is incredibly sweet and helpful. This new one is in a cool little building. The design looks great but in practice it is not perfect but no big deal. The main door opens right into the middle of the line which is slightly cumbersome if there is a long lunch-time line. If you enter through one of the alternate doors then you can let cold winter air into the middle of the dining room. I prefer going on weekends when you have the choice of both bfast menu and lunch menu. Oh, one other thing: hopefully they will get the mojo fish back to how it is described on the menu (line-caught drum fish) versus the temporary salmon they have been using due to a shortage of the drum. It's perfect with the drum. Their salsas are fresh and delicious. The green "dona" is fairly spicy. The habanero is a really pretty orange color and is nice and spicy too. Favorite tacos? I'm partial to the Otto, and I like the Space Cowboy and Frontera Fundido with portobello. The special lunch taco chile en nogada is interesting with the picadillo beef and pomegranate seeds. They also have a loyalty card which can help you get some free tacos. This location seems to be doing just fine (probably more along the 4 stars rating right at this moment since they are brand new) but I'm sure once they get up to speed and have some experience it will be perfect just like the Sylvan location. read more

This is really a 3.5 I would say. First off the guacamole is really good. I was surprised at the level of heat it had (and that's a good thing). By far the best taco was the Monday special taco. I'll probably only go back on Monday's because it was head and shoulders above the rest of the tacos. Grilled Akashi steak, cilantro-mexichurri, queso fresco, green onion. That mexichurri sauce was great. Maybe I need to ask if that can be added to the other tacos. I had a carne asada taco and it was pretty good I had a puerco verde taco and thought the pork was good. I tried the conquistador and didn't really care for it. I also tried the Frontera fundido sirloin and found it very blah as did the person who ordered it. I will certainly go back and try more tacos and get the Monday special too. Maybe I'll just get 2 or 3 of that one. I though it was pricey. Also I was done and a woman came by and took my basket without asking if I was done. It was ok as I was clearly done as I had thrown my napkin on top of what was left of my tacos. However the person I was with was not done and probably had two bites left and her basket was snatched up so fast we both kind of looked at each other thinking did that really just happen. I appreciate wanting to keep a clean restaurant but don't be so quick to snatch tacos from people. Ask if they are done. Be careful the taco bandits will swoop in and take them before you can even say "I'm not done with that". Roger Staubach also happened to be dining in today. I wonder if Roger got his tacos snatched from him. read more

Tacos most people like. In fact, you could do way worse. But, in Dallas, you can also do better. Listen, on the whole, they're not bad. Some are really good. The green salsa is killer. If you need a taco spot where everyone speaks English and there are gourmet offerings, this is one of the best spots (particularly for Breakfast). However, if you just want good, authentic tacos, go back to your search bar and look for "taqueria." read more

Blah :/ very disappointed with the lack of flavors. I hadthe cowboy and the mojo fish - my husband brisket, pastor and shrimp. The pastor was more like a guiso with all the oil and juices, it was the only one with lots of flavor but it was missing the slight sweetness that comes from the pineapple in traditional pastor. The flour tortillas and beans were the best part. Plus... no sweet tea ‍ if your going to open a restaurant in the south you have to add that! If your going to pay $4-5 for a taco you might as well go to velvet taco and get the flavors. We will not be coming back. read more
