Love the food here. I crave it. Employees are always friendly and helpful which is rare these days. It's clean and I really have no complaints. read more

This little restaurant is a real find. Great food at a good price and the most welcoming staff. I would give it 10* if I could:)

This place is the freshest, best Mexican food in Billings! I will be back again. taco treat is a 5 star fast food place.

Ordered the Indian taco.... Yum! As someone who makes Indian tacos, their bread is on point. Well done!

First of all the staff was amazing so that's why it's atleast worth a star. However the quality, preparation and taste is God awful. I ordered a 2 taco meal with a drink. The food here has no taste. My meat was chewy and a head of cabbage was basically thrown onto the taco. The shredded cheese smelled spoiled and is not the proper cheese for a taco. I would not recommend the tacos here. They also don't serve burritos Also what type of Mexican restaurant claims authenticity Mexican food online when this is something my 2 year old would make better read more

Ok the food was th e best and. The dessert was the best oand the service was super good and nice and is has a anchient vibe and felt nice

let's start off with the price $7.50 for two tacos with little to no meat on it. meat was unseasoned cheese was bland and store bought. the definition of white people tacos won't be coming back. would give it negative stars if I could terrible food. inside isn't much better it screams tacky taco place and that's what it is read more

Great food! Service was great! And to top it off - the menu is in overload. But that's good! Have had their enchiladas, taco salad, burritos, but still need to try their Indian Tacos! They look yummy!! read more

This is my favorite place when I go back home!! Nowhere has ever been able to replicate their cheese fries or hard shell tacos. They have the best cheese ever I'd kill for their recipes! read more

Good food, made to order so time was what I expected, but nothing spectacular. Everything on the menu looked like it would be a good choice. This was my second time here as we're not locals. read more

Taco Treat - Beef enchiladas - Mexican Near Me - Billings, Montana

One of the best Taco's in town, when I in the mood for tacos this place is my go to, They don't skimp on the meat and their green sauce is really good. read more

Absolutely disgusting, without a doubt the worst food I've ever had. My inedible burrito was covered in coagulated "cheese" sauce and my taco was flavorless congealed meat. Taco Bell has better food. read more

I was walking by and decided to stop for some food, and I was extremely pleased with the service and the food! I LOOOVE the real cheese that they use, instead of that rubber processed cheese everyone else uses! Thanks for the great meal!! read more

See all

By far, the best Mexican food in Billings. Bar none. Their soft corn beef tacos are loaded with meat, lettuce and cheese. This is one of the few tacos I've eaten that "stays together" and doesn't fall all over the place. Their "hot" sauce is to die for and for once, it's HOT. If only this place had a decent atmosphere, tables and chairs. It's very cafeteria looking. If this place was in a nice restaurant with a bar and full liquor license it would be an absolute gold mine. What's funny is Billings has some gorgeous Mexican restaurants that unfortunately think good Mexican is dry pork on rice with a side of beans. This place is truly a culinary delight. Best time to go is for LUNCH and please, go early! There was a continual stream of people standing in line and then outside the door waiting to order. Can't wait to go back! read more

Taco Treat - The daily lunch special. Two soft corn beef tacos and drink for $5.50. YUM!! =D - Mexican Near Me - Billings, Montana

Barely edible. Please stop calling it Mexican Food. Mexicans don't put tater tots or American "cheese" on anything. Thankfully I was really hungry so my "tacos" didn't go to waste but I will probably regret that decision later. I think there was ketchup on my fish taco. The service was good so I gave it two stars, the food only deserves one. read more

I've been going to Taco Treat starting 50 years ago in Great Falls. Now I have to driving 550 miles to get me some of the best Enchiladas, cheese crisps and tacos in the country! Please open one or 10 in Denver. read more

The best fast Mexican food I have ever had - consistently great! Location is easy to access and nice people too!

Do not eat here. Unless you are a teenage boy or high. This food is some of the most non-Mexican Mexican food I've ever had. Velveeta cheesy/Nacho cheese sauce from a can. Super terrible. Very school lunch-like. read more

Incredible! All fresh ingredients, real shredded cheese. I had the mini Indian taco with chicken. SO GOOD!! And filling.

Below are some important things about this Taco Treat location. Food, and atmosphere are important things. The food is great. I highly recommend the beef enchiladas. I would describe them as delicious plates of melted beef cheese pools. I am not sure why they taste so amazing. I have attempted to copy the recipe several times without success. The tacos are very good. They are fat, and filled with beef, lettuce, and processed cheese. That is about it. The corn shells are soft and oily. Perfect. The atmosphere however, truly sucks. The decor is ugly and lazy. White restaurant walls are adorned with a smattering of cheap Mexican cliches. A television is blaring away by the counter. Stacks of crappy trade magazines sit on metal racks near the pop machine. The tables are often uncleaned for more than ten minutes. I can't recommend spending a lot of time in the restaurant. However, the food is awesome. read more

Ah, Taco Treat... A Montana institution - well at least as far as I'm concerned! I really enjoy the food here - great tacos, cheese crisps, nachos, and other Mexican selections. It's good food served fast, not fast food. Though it's nothing fancy (and isn't trying to be), it's quite enjoyable, and the folks that work there are friendly. I visit here at least once a week, and I have tried almost everything on the menu. They do offer some daily specials, so be sure to check those out prior to ordering! I would recommend checking out Taco Treat If you find yourself in Billings and are looking for some decent and affordable Mexican food. read more

Great place, and run by perfect people. Native Montana run! It's homemade fast food made to order and hot when you get to eat it! Homey type atmosphere. (you don't have to watch the TV.) I can't decide what I like best? But their Indain Tacos are worth their calorie count! (I just eat apples the next day.......just kidding!) read more

The Indian taco was great . It was so big I should have gotten the mini . Service was good and the salsa was good also . I would go back

So I went to taco treat in the heights.  Hmmm. The best way I can describe that place is if you went to your friend's house in junior high and your friends mom was like "what is your favorite food?" And you said "tacos" and then she says "I can make tacos" and then you all realise they don't have the right ingredients read more

Their cheese crisps are amazing. Good hot sauce too. By the way there is a industrial hand dryer in the bathroom. Very cool.

This place is shit I went here for a couple tacos and I found 4 hairs in my tacos and my mom found a hair in here enchilada

Geez..., I really don't want to knock these guys or leave a negative review. But..., I want to be honest about my meal I had there. The main gripe I have with TT is the cheese they use..., it's like velveeta or american and to me that's no bueno!!! I could be wrong about that, but what ever cheese it is taste very processed and doesn't lend itself well to mexican food. If they used cheddar I would of easily gave them 4 stars..., their food does have potential for sure. read more

Food is ok but customer service and attitude are terrible. Did not receive the rice and beans which were supposed to be included. Some staff members look at customers as if you are interrupting social time. I have tried to give this place a chance but have been disappointed on both occasions. I will not be returning. read more

Being from bozeman and not having a taco treat in our town, we always make a point to eat here when we are in Billings. Today's experience was the first time Iv ever had a bad experience, for starters the girl at the counter had no personality, I said thank you to her and she just stared at me, I guess she was expecting a tip and when I didn't give her one she got pissed. First you should never expect a tip and if you are somewhat polite and say thank you back or your welcome then I just might have tipped her. As I ate my tacos I watched her interaction with the next customers, one guy who was all dirty and disheveled she was nice to, another lady who looked like she was on drugs, the cashier was nice to her too. So I concluded that either a - she was just a bitch, or b- she expected a tip. There was another girl there working the counter as well and she was just fine, friendly and nice. I'm not sure what the first girls problem was, but it pissed me off. I had to go up to the counter and get a new cup for my soda as because of this COVID shit you can't refill your cup, which is fine. When I asked miss personality for a new cup ( I said please) she handed me one and turned away- I said thank you anyhow, because I was raised with manners, unlike her. Maybe she should find another job if she's so unhappy there. On the plus side the food was good, so that's why I give it a four star. read more

I would have to agree with skeff T. Their hand dryer is the best.

I don't remember if it was this exact location I ate at, but this is some of the BEST fast food I have EVER had. The cheese is so yum, the tacos are beyond fantastic and the service was great. People in general seemed friendly in Billings. If you are somewhere where's a Taco Treat, you MUST MUST go. read more

Well where do I start...they couldn't even hand me me my god dang change in my hand. And then proceeded to hand me my change without even grabbing the quarter that she dropped. On top of everything this place is just low grade dog food and you shouldn't waist your time w this place. I suggest going to cafe rio that's a place you won't regret! read more

I love Taco Treat! I may be out on a limb all by myself, but I think the quality of the corn shell tacos and nachos far outweighs the somewhat sketchy ambiance of the Billings' location. The food is relatively cheap and much better than comparatively priced fast food mexican. If you are looking for a quick spot for lunch, look no further. read more

Taco Treat has a lot of options for cheap. We couldn't tell if it was a fast food taco place, because the food came quickly and there was a pretty big line, but it still tasted really good. I would have preferred more toppings/vegetables and hot sauce on my tostada and burrito, but I'm sure next time, I can just ask for it. read more

Very friendly staff usually. The orders always arrive in a couple minutes so they make the wait minimal. The taste is terrific. Prices are a bit high for lunch, usually $8-10, prefer to keep mine under $6 but two tacos usually isn't enough. Will always keep coming back though, unique to Montana. read more

First off, I thought Taco Treat used to use Land O Lakes cheese? Maybe not anymore, but I personally think the creamy cheese is what sets them apart. I live out of state now, but always stop and get tacos on Grand Ave on my way to the airport. There are many Mexican options down here, and I have yet to have found this flavor! The corn beef tacos are to die for, but even though it is a buck or so more, you have to try the flour! I have never had a dry or bad taco shell, like I usually get at Taco Bell! I also recommend the cheese crisp and cheese enchilada. I like mine with no onions and I think they still pre make a few each day without onions just for picky eaters like me! And the previous commenter about tater tots was hilarious... Although I do love me some Taco John Potato Oles! Lol read more

If you love Taco John's or homemade tacos that you season with a packet, this is the place for you. The atmosphere is like a cafeteria and it is dirty. Definitely the least authentic Mexican food in Billings. read more

Had an awesome lunch! One of the few places that has adapted to being friendly for sensitive diet (gluten intolerance). Owner operated and super friendly staff. Love the corn taco special and prices are more than reasonable! We will be back many many times for sure!!! read more

Help me, baby cheesus! Friendly staff, clean restaurant. . . but the atmosphere? Fox news on the tv? Thanks for the subliminal fascism while I try and eat food created by our friends South of the border. I can choke on the irony, but I won't choke on the food. It is pretty good, but be aware that they coat the inside of their burritos with processed cheese. Just request that they hold the fake cheese. But don't worry, there is plenty of delicious cheddar cheese on everything else on the menu. . . literally. The price is right, but the tip line on the receipt is a little presumptuous. Seriously? Tipping the counter person for taking your order? But what if I don't tip? I shudder to think. . . read more
