We ordered oyster shots that were plentiful and delicious (a bit spicy but good). I had the ceviche, hubby had the chimichanga meal and both were large portions and delicious. Always amazing! Servers are quick, keep your chips, salsa and drinks full! The restaurant is always very clean and we appreciate that all the condiments "hot sauces, salt, pepper" etc... are always wiped down and are never dirty! This place is way overrated. Back home in OKC, this restaurant wouldn't last a month. My Quesa Birria Combination was underwhelming. It looked good when it came out but the tortillas were saturated in grease to the point they couldn't hold its contents and the meat lacked flavor. The chips were obviously out of a bag. We ordered nachos supreme, a fish taco, and a quesabirria taco. The nachos looked ok-ish. Not like typical nachos, with whole and halved vegetables haphazardly thrown on the plate. Beef was tender but extremely bland. Fish taco batter was gross and tasted like crispy eggs. Never got my quesabirria taco. This spot!! This spot- is what's up!! Authentic Mexican comida! It's small with outdoor seating, but weekends are obviously busiest. It's a little bit on the loud side because it's so small, people just talking so loud and it's like competition with music, I'd bring down the music for those highly sensitive people. Amazing customer service, and fresh salsa and complimentary chips made there. The food- is on another level. I haven't had Authentic food like this in awhile. Place was packed and we sat right away. We picked outside on the patio and the server ran both ways everytime he got out info. To drops chips off and runs back in. Bring drinks runs back in. Runs out to take order and then, you guessed it runs back in. Incredible service. I was with my #1 taco taser Maiya and we both got the Biria tacos. Look at the pictures of these things. It's making my mouth water allover again. Salsa was chunky and fresh and the tacos, Hot damn were so good. Good meat and the cheese was melting in my mouth even with the last taco. Consume was perfect. M couldn't finish them all but she took home a half eaten taco because it was that good. Well, as I've said, in many of my reviews of restaurants where I go to get Mexican food, I like to try the chips and the salsa, and even the guacamole to give me the first indicator as the whether or not the rest of the meal is going to be good or not. Also, I should point out the health record which I didn't see until just now as I'm doing this review - is a 71 out of 100 which is not very good. Inside and outside seating is available. Let's start with the chips and salsa - the chips are not homemade and probably from a store or from some commercial outlet. The salsa was very runny with a few chunks of tomatoes in it and really lacked the flavor that you would expect from a good Mexican restaurant. The guacamole was mainly onions and chunks of tomato - everything but enough avocado to even make be identifiable as great guacamole. So that was very disappointing. But i already placed an order for three tacos - carnitas, chorizo and carne asada. I had to pay .75 cents extra to get a hotter sauce that lacked some flavor although it did have some substantial heat to it. Of the three tacos the chorizo was the best one. Needless to say, I walked away, saying the food was fair... Not great not bad but I probably will not come back. read more

I had never been here before and so my wife and I were looking for a place we have never tried for Mexican food so we landed here. We both had the Birria Tacos and they were melt-in-your-mouth tasty. We both had 2 and that was plenty to eat. They are so indescribably good. This place is a gem with great and friendly service where you are treated like you are their very first customer ever. passing through Billings, legitimately the worst tacos i have ever had in my life. there is no way that the other reviews are real. please save yourself the money and do not come here. if the plates were $5, i could understand. i spent $60 on 2 $30 plates and i am a fatass and i barely ate 1/4 of the food because no longer felt it was sanitary it tasted genuinely contaminated. if it was out of 10, i might give it 1.5-2/10 just for the fact the only redeeming quality was the chips and salsa were alright. im REALLY hoping that i do not get food poisoning from this read more

The latest iteration is a casual mexican food locale that serves nearly everything from street tacos to menudo and some daily specials. It's a laid back, non-pretentious spot that serves some decent mexican food. I've tried a few things -- some are hits and some are not quite a hit, but it's all served with a smile and friendly people. So far, there's nothing I wouldn't be willing to try again. The carne asada is good, so are the enchiladas and the ceviche. I wasn't too fond of the nachos -- they were fine -- except the chips got soggy fast, so this is a eat-in and not take-out item. Most things will come with a choice of corn or flour tortilla. There are several choices of Jarritos for your beverage selection, so you can make it a complete mexican-food immersion. Authentic 100% The service is spot on, the owner is in the kitchen. The Burria was to die for. If you know Mexican, you know that Burria or Chili Colorado are both the true test. I have been to this restaurant several times now and each time the experience gets better, and it started off top notch. The food is the tastiest Mexican cuisine I have had in Billings. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Everyone was helpful as I tried to order in Spanish. The music and atmosphere was very family friendly as well. But the food, every single bite I have had has been so good. I have enjoyed the Carnitas en Salsa de Molcajete multiple times and tonight I had the the Pollo Ixtapa--just a tiny bit spicy, but absolutely delicious start to finish. Fresh baked tortilla chips with their own salsa. Portion sizes are huge and prices are very reasonable. I only wish I had grabbed a photo before I devoured my food!
