Yummy stuff! I haven't been to TT since I was in high school decades ago. I always loved their super natural burritos with sunflower seeds (pure genius!). The sunflower seeds are gone and it's called a taco now, but it's exactly what I remember enjoying. There's an upgrade to a delicious, chunky salsa and guacamole--do that. It was a great fast food lunch stop. I'll be back for good service, clean restaurant, and good fast food. read more

WE NEED TO PROTECT TACO TIME AT ALL COSTS. I realize there can be service issues at times but that can be fixed. The more I learn about the food quality of bigger chains the more passionate I am about eating local. Taco Time is fresh, the ingredients are quality, and they are a staple to the PNW. I know this is unauthentic mexican food, but it serves the pallets of MANY. I am scared capitalism and greed will take her away so please I encourage all to eat here and if you have a critique, share it in a constructive way. I have no affiliation with Taco Time, I just feel passionately about protecting this gem. read more

My friend and I went for the first time and it was horrible. We barely ate two bites of our burritos and couldn't eat anymore. We will not be back. We wanted our money back. Almost $15 for a tiny burrito combo. It was appalling. read more

Staff was washing tables and was using technique that looked unsanitary He took a wet rag and then wiped table and then moved on to additional tables and wrung out the rag on table expressing liquid and using that to clean table He must have used the same dirty rag water for at least 10 tables He did not have a cleaning bucket or a spray bottle This did not seem sanitizing! Food was decent! Very similar to Del Taco. (If you know, you know) service was good and fast. From what I saw seemed clean and kept up with. The spicy tots are definitely spicy, but good. The fish taco was okay. read more

Absolutely love their fish tacos... best in town! The single taco is so big it hardly fits in your mouth but it does!!! Yum!!! The service is excellent and the folks that work there are very friendly. A nice place to go anytime! read more

Taco Time - Mexican Near Me - Tumwater, Washington

Haven't been here in probably 8 years. Ordered the classics.. soft taco, crisp beef burrito, mexi-fries... jeebus the prices now! Way too much money and the soft tacos are half the size. Hot sauce no longer in clear plastic cups, now production like cups, smaller. Limits on them also! Disappointed in the whole experience. Shrink flation has ruined this place. Probably won't be back. Sad, was one of my favorites in the area. TacotimeNW, does smoke the eastern side of WA, Hands down. But yeah, if I come back probably only order crisp beef burrito to go. Whats with the sticky floors? Like the whole got damn floor is sticky. Thnx covid19 and dems.. you ruined everything! Portions small, prices high. It's no longer worth eating out. read more

Food is good and reliable. But this chain is so much more money than the alternatives. 12.50 for a burrito and a drink? The Mexican restaurant across the street is probably cheaper. Somehow the NW Taco Times are like 50% more money than the ones in Oregon. $5 for a crisp buritto? I can get 4 for $8 down south. read more

This was my first and last time trying this place. I was shaking and nauseous from being pregnant, and already had a pick up order here and decided to order some extra tacos to sit and eat in my car to help me feel better. This guy fell out of my taco. Now I'm extra nauseated I should've seen the sticky floors my shoes were sticking to as a red flag... read more

Me being indian could handle it but i dont think anyone else could. The whole interior of the restaurant is quite clean n tidy. They serve you on table after u r done placing ur order at the counter. Menu is good. Choice of drinks is not much. A good place to fill ur tummy. read more

Absolutely delicious fish taco's. Quick service, delicious hot sauce and extremely clean lobby.

Very disappointed with the amount of chips I got with my side of guacamole. They also forgot my pumpkin seeds and ranch on my Veggie Fit Hit Bowl. Everything still tasted good so I gave 3 stars. read more

Okay, so I've driven by this Taco Time for years and I've never pulled in because I didn't think they had a Drive-Thru. Well they DO! Pulled in last night about 6:30-6:40. I like how they have a menu before you get to the actual speaker. It helped me decide what I wanted to try. Ordered the #1 Beef Soft burrito combo meal. Wait time was fairly fast. I was very pleased with the friendly service. The young man smiled and said Hello, very personable eye contact, a genuine smile as he handed me my order and told me to have a nice evening. Customer Service gets 5 Stars! Now to the food. I'm used to Taco Bell Beef Burrito so I was very surprised how Big and beefy my burrito was! Wow! You definitely get your money's worth! No comparison to Taco-Bell because this place doesn't taste like fast food, more like a burrito you'd make at home. It was hot, fresh and quite Delicious! Those Tots were on the money too!! Warm and crispy! As I'm eating I start readying the burrito wrapping and my drink cup. Very interesting read indeed! They get most of their Ingredients from local farms and they use earth friendly compostable packaging!!! Isn't that a great idea?? I think so! This makes me Smile! Overall a very pleasant experience! I'll be back to try their Tacos! read more

Not impressed with tonight's service. We wait for the good fresh food, and it's usually worth the wait but not tonight. The soft taco has more tortilla than meat and cheese and lettuce combined! And is it to be served cold? The fish tacos were made with the bottom fish, the small hard chunks of meat and missing the coleslaw! A two star is given because I do love Taco Time, but if this had been my first visit then it would have been my last visit. read more

I have to change my review to reflect my last 10 visits. Each time my salad has gotten progressively smaller with hardly any meat or cheese or toppings. I have been paying nearly 9.00 for a salad that is maybe 1 cup of lettuce. The portions are way too small to be charging that price. I am done here. read more

What is there to say? Taco Time is an all time fave. Reliable product- it is a guilty pleasure. Love it.

Hmmm if you want bad food served in a drab, nondescript ambience, this ought to do it. Seriously, I can't understand why this would ever be the choice for a quick meal in Olympia. My kids wanted crisp bean burritos and Mexi fries to scratch a nostalgic itch. I don't eat that kind of crap so I thought the chicken taco salad might be a safe option...I received a few chunks of unseasoned chicken dumped on a bed of shredded iceberg and a few anemic tomatoes. No flavor, no visual interest whatsoever. Had to ask for salsa & was rewarded with a tiny cup of pico de gallo which was peculiarly devoid of any taste. I would prefer to buy some tortillas & open a can of Rosarita at home. read more

This is new favorite place for a quick bite! I've been here a few times over the last year, but today we had to best experience! My mom is in town and had never tried Taco Time, I was excited to take her because she swears she has the best Taco place back home in Utah--she was not disappointed! The manager Bryan chatted with us for a few minutes and suggested she try a Mexi plate, it came with a few things for her to try ( a taco, crispy burrito, mexi-fries/tator tots, a salad and beans with cheese melted on them). My mom fell in love with the crispy burrito! She also said the hot sauce beats her place back home!! She refused to say the place as a whole is better than her place in Utah, but settled with its the best place she's had in Washington! I like to get the Chicken taco salad, it is always fresh and tasty! Big chunks or white meat chicken, you can tell that they cook it fresh in the restaurant, unlike those places that boil bags of meat to heat it up and then pass it off as fresh cooked. I live closest to the Taco Time in Lacey, but will always come back to the Tumwater store just for the friendly service that I always get! I have not had a bad experience in Lacey, I've just had superb service here! read more

Taco Time - Mexi-plate - Mexican Near Me - Tumwater, Washington

Maybe there's some nostalgia in my rating here, but dammit, I like me some Taco Time. Side note to fellow Oregonians, it is NOT the same as TT in Oregon. It's much better than that nonsense. Chicken tacos are where it's at. Fresh, tasty and that ranch sauce (I know, very Mexican right? But who cares). I used to be all about the beef until that fateful day that my dad messed up my order. Once I was done pouting, I realized the superiority of the chicken. The Mexi-Fries are pretty good too - not that I knew that for the first 17 years of my life since my dad always ate them as some sort of trade-off for giving into our pleas of 'Taco time! Taco time'. Don't get me started on the Crustos. Okay, they're pretty good. Healthy? No. A sweet and satisfactory crunchy treat? Yup. I hit this location either going up to visit my family or on my way back. Always prompt and accurate. . read more

Love crisp beans! I don't see taco time very much they are not we're I live. However, every time I pass one hungry or not I have to stop.

I walked in to this Taco Time NW fast food restaurant. There were many people seated inside. I ordered a Tostada Salad. My darling Husband ordered a Taco Salad. I asked for a bottled water. There were a few people who looked unhappy while I was standing inside. I was given a number and I was told that my food would be brought to me. I waited a brief while and then a younger worker brought my Husband's and my orders over to where he and I were sitting. The restroom is Unisex (all genders). There are two restrooms. The inside had a few tables that needed to be cleaned. I grabbed some napkins and cleaned a table before my Husband sat down. I saw that a few things inside this Taco Time NW were different. There are now frosted glass partitions over the tops of the booths in the middle. The bill was under $24.00 for our order. This Taco Time NW staff works hard to get my order correct. The interior is bright and cheery. The drive thru was busy while I was seated. I saved my reusable plastic knife and spoon. read more

I am very upset that I paid $22 for 3 tacos that looked like this. I worked at this location back in 08-09 and if I were to ever serve a guest tacos that looked like this I would most definitely have had to review and take the test again on how much ingredients go in them. Usually when I go there is no issue and the food is delicious, but this was awful. There were only a few pieces of chicken, it was basically like eating a tortilla. I doubt Aaron is still the manager but if she is, she really needs to re-train the employees. read more

Just went here. Never been to a Taco Time before. What an utter disappointment. To call this "Mexican" food is an insult. Yuk. Pasty, tasteless and way over priced. I suppose if you were starving and had a pocket of money to waste, this would be the spot. If you're wanting something that you can at least eat...keep going! The Chicken Taco Salad bowl looked like someone took a shat in a cup and covered it with lettuce. Literally the nastiest thing I've ever been served! Ok, enough...I gotta go find something to eat now, after I threw this whole mess in the trash... NEVER AGAIN! read more

A woman came in with an orange kitten stuffed down the front of her tank top and proceeded to use the self serve condiments bar with the cat squirming out of her top while waiting for her order. The kids running the place kept saying "omg, thats so cute!" No one wiped down the condiments bar after the woman and cat left. They just kept giggling about the cat. Cute??? No its not. Its a health violation! So much for refusing service. Won't be back to this location. read more

Absolutely not for me. It's as if people who has never had actual Mexican food decided to open a taco shop, based on tacos they had heard about but never eaten. I would honestly rather eat Taco Bell, at least they're flavorful. read more

Do you ever try a place on a whim and quickly discover that you have been missing out on something for way too long? That's me with Taco Time. When I lived in Tacoma there were several locations fairly close to both my home and my work. A coworker suggested Taco Time on the way back to the office-- best decision ever! Their habanero burrito is my favorite thing to order! Sometimes I kick it up and have them add some tots to the inside--fire! I moved to Tumwater about a year ago and have been working remotely during the pandemic. I was sad to leave the Tacoma area thinking that my favorite lunch spot would have to be for special trips. I was happy to find that I was wrong, I have the Tumwater location closer than before! I have found that no matter which location I order my food from, the quality is consistent! I do branch out from my habanero burrito from time to time, their chili tastes similar to my mothers and feels homemade, which I appreciate. The crispy chicken burrito is always satisfying (I usually order two!) I generally don't eat beef, but the one time I forgot to specify chicken and got a beef burrito, I didn't mind, the beef was flavorful and didn't seem like the stuff that Taco Bell tries to pass off as beef. My favorite thing about this Tumwater location (aside from the consistent quality that I've come to expect) is the overall ambiance of this place! I have had a couple of conversations with the general manager as well as all of the managers at this location. I admit that I am a talkative person and they take the time to make me feel welcome and then get back to work. The rest of the staff are always helpful and appear to enjoy their jobs as they work shoulder to shoulder better than any other fast food joint I've been in. Keep up the great work!! Now for all of the people claiming this place doesn't know Tacos, I'm guessing that you have an ideal in your mind about what a taco is and these guys don't live up to that. That's fine, but I sincerely do not think taco time is trying to be something they are not. They are a very Americanized taco joint and they make the best Americanized tacos I've had! I can't even compare them to a real taco place straight out of Cabo because they are two separate categories altogether! (End rant!) read more

Ordered through drive through. Girl was very immature and laughed at our order of a side of sour cream which we actually never got.

When I get a hankering for some fast Mexican inspired fare I usually "make a run for the border". Welly, well, well, I took a chance yesterday and strayed from the norm. One thing I have to make note of is that I love Taco Time's sometime spokesman Pat Cashman. He's got a good sense of humor and an excellent voice. In my case the advertising money on Pat was well spent. It was just past noon and the state workers were in full swarm strapping on the old feed bag. When I walked in the first thing I noticed was despite the full parking lot and busy drive-thru the line was short. Being new to the menu I had a couple questions and had to stare at it for a few. The lady behind the counter didn't rush me and was pleasant. The Taco Time menu is smaller and the prices higher than "the border" but the portions are bigger and don't look like they were slapped together by a blind four year old. The hot sauce was mild which I like. The chicken burritos were pretty good. The place was clean. All they have to do to get five stars from yours truly is serve a fine selection of craft beers with a focus on wheat, chilled glassware, cloth napkins, dimmed pendant lighting, candelabras, and have Pat Cashman keep me company while I eat. Studies have shown that his smooth radio voice helps aid proper digestion. Unlike making "a run for the border" I didn't have to make a few runs for the toilet shortly after. I shall return. read more

Taco Time - Went back and had some tots and another chicken burrito. Hell yeah. - Mexican Near Me - Tumwater, Washington

This taco time and the taco times in general always sound like such a good idea. Then you get it and are pretty disappointed. The chicken is not good. It is basically ground chicken. The tacos always end up being too dry tasting. I will say I do like their habenero crisp burrito, but this location doesn't have it anymore but the Lacey one does. read more

I don't expect a lot from fast food, but cold and stale doesn't cut it. The enchilada platter was my meal. The enchiladas hadn't been past room temperature for quite a while, and the rice was crunchy. I think it was cooked before the plandemic nonsense and they're trying to pass that off as food. So its a good thing I do not have a taco time in close vicinity of my house! I have been trying my hardest not to eat fast food but I think taco time has some sort of addictive substance in the food! Sorry lengthy. When you work in customer service yourself, you just can't help but have to speak up when you experience a bad one! Bad experience the last 2 visits to this store. I've never had a real problem before but when you go twice to a location and they get something wrong both times, its time to stop going. And that's where I'm at now. As disappointed as I am, because I used to love Taco Time, I just can't get my self to be let down again. The 1st time was on April 23, 2018. I went through the drive thru and was charged and given an extra Mexi Platter. I had ordered exactly what I wanted and knew what I could devour. So the extra Mexi Platter went into the garbage. I had called that same night when I got home and discovered the extra meal. I was told that the refund would be automatic. Still no refund. The 2nd time was on April 29, 2018. I went inside this time to discuss my refund and place an order. I figure my order would be right this time and that someone would take care of the refund. Taking a Mexi Platter off my order that night would have resolved it but that was not even offered to me. When I spoke to the person in charge that night, I was told I needed to talk to her manager who would be in the next morning. I left my name and phone number. I did not hear from anyone all day so by evening time I called the store. I was then told that the manager did not come in. The person who answered the phone said she would text her and ask that she place priority in calling me when she got in the next morning. Its now 11 days since the 1st mishap. No refund, no phone call. To top it off, my order on April 29, 2018 was wrong to! Even after the person taking my order repeated it twice! I had ordered my Mexi Platter with no beans, all salad. So when I looked inside my bag of food I saw the Mexi Platter but didn't look that close into the container until I got home! I'm done with Tumwater Taco Time. read more
