I love Taco Time, yet after an inexcusable and unbelievable number of times not getting all my order in the Lewiston drive through, I'm done. Got all the way home today to discover I'm missing two items. Politely called and then very patiently drove all the way back. There wasn't even an attempt to apologize for the inconvenience from their extremely rude staff. I remained kind. Too many people are rude to service staff. I was made to feel as if I inconvenienced them by requesting they replace the missing items. I tried to hang in there, support a local business, and I love the food. Sincerely, nearly every time without fail something is missing. They pack their bags so tightly it is nearly impossible to check. Waste of time and money. Don't bother. read more

I would give it a zero if they let me! Long story short, they forgot some of my food. When I called to get in squared away the guest relations lady asked me what specific time I could come get the food they forgot. I told her I couldn't give her an exact time but would be there before they closed. That wasn't a good enough answer for her so she said she couldn't help me and actually hung up in my face. Really! Clarkston and Lewiston Taco Times are the best damn Taco Times in the country - and I've been to many. The food is great for fast-food tacos, albeit a little pricey for fast food. Happy Day does a superb job with these and can and do compete with other taco joints (i.e. Qdoba, Taco Del Mar, etc.) Pros: - Tasty for taco fast food - good zest, just enough heat, and fresh ingredients - awesome salsa bar - super clean restaurants and great decor for a fast food joint - Great customer service - the stuffed fries, mmm... - you can snag a beer here, which is a nice touch with tacos Cons: - a bit pricey for fast food Overall: I've been to other Taco Times and these two are the best. I've been to a lot of other fast food taco joints and these are right on par or better. Typically we love Taco Time, but after this experience we may not go back. Our bank has a merchant saving app. Taco Time is one of their participants. Today I received a notification about Taco Time Tuesday so we decided to go there over other places. However when I tried to use my e-coupon, the woman at the window said her manager would not accept coupons unless they are printed out to prove the discounts were given. I would suggest Taco Time remove themselves from this program or make sure all of their employees are "willing" to honor a clearly stated coupon. I hate to complain about Taco Time because it used to be one of my favorites. Unfortunately, it just seems that the same thing is on the menu over and over. And the food is so GLOPPY. Moved to California a number of years ago and then moved back. I was surprised that the Lewiston Taco Time had not changed much. Who says you can never go back? Bruce, please, please go to California and visit a Baja Fresh. If you can't get a franchise at least consider changing your menu somewhat to emulate Baja Fresh. The good things about Taco Time in Lewiston and Clarkston is they are always clean. The salsa fresca is pretty good, too. read more

Okay, to be fair, I grew up in love with this place and that hasn't changed. The deep-fried bean burritos are still a favorite, as no one does deep-fried bean burritos like this place... or actually anywhere that I've seen. It all tastes the same as I remember as a kid. Granted, I haven't had the favorite in a long time- the taco salad- but I doubt that it has changed much. This place wins restaurant awards every single year for service and food quality, and well dang it, it is obvious why. Mexi fries: delish. As a kid I used to love Taco Time. The price wasn't anything to complain about and the mexi-fries were unique tasting and a lure to bring you back. I remember going with my family down there almost every Thursday for their crunchy taco Thursday specials where they sold 3 tacos for real cheap. We loaded up on them. The environment was nice, and not too crammed, but still has the "fast-food" look, as if you were to dine in at Jack In The Box or McDonalds. Years down the road our visits there became less and less and not until just recently did I realize I haven't been there in almost a year. My very last visit was nothing exciting, I saw an advertisement for their street tacos and went there with a friend. Nothing special about these three small mini tacos. The shell was hard and almost stale-status. The Mexi-Fries were good, but it's not really anything to bring me back over the choice of El Sombrero or Taco Bell. read more

I usually enjoy taco time, but I was not impressed with my last visit. The service was excellent but the quality of food was not. I received my food very quickly but it did not taste fresh. My tacos tasted like they have been sitting out for awhile and the meat was not that hot. My food was warm but I would prefer it to be hot. I would still recommend Taco Time to others because there food usually tastes fresh. It seems like the food always tastes more fresh when you go at a busier time instead of when it's dead. Remember, this is Idaho, not a Mexican border state. The tacos here are quite good. They do have some "odd" combinations (tater tots and tacos, for instance); but remember, we're in Idaho.... What no other Mexican fast food restaurant -- anywhere -- can duplicate is the great service the staff at the Lewiston Taco Time provides. These workers are amazingly kind and considerate. We always make a point of visiting the Lewiston and/or Clarkston Taco Time whenever we are in the area. The owners of these two stores really know how to run a business and train their staff. read more

Its hard for me to not put five stars. This taco Time has great food which I think is way better than Taco Bell, pleasant employees and a great establishment. They get your food right and tasting great every time. However be warned the condiment bar sometimes gets a little saucey and you may have to wash your hands after serving yourself. I had lunch at Taco Time and I was very happy with my visit! I thought the service that I received was tremendous, and the quality of the food was very good as well (I suggest the 5 Alarm Burrito... YUM). I was also very impressed with the cleanliness of the entire restaurant inside and out! My only complaint was I had to wait for my food longer than I expected considering the restaurant was relatively slow when I ordered. All together my experience at TT was a positive one! read more
