I liked that the Quesobirria taco was not greasy or messy and was easy to eat. The Mole Coloradito was good too - the sauce is a little spicier and less sweet than the traditional mole. That wasn't my issue with the soda, the fact that I paid $3.50 for each can of soda... was a bit alarming. I'm all about supporting small businesses, that's the reason why we tried this place. There wasn't a single thing we ordered that we wouldn't order again! I got the Roast Pork & Poblano taco. Homemade corn tortilla, topped with the mildy spicy filling. So good! My girlfriend got the Black Bean Mole Kale, which is one of several vegetarian/vegan items on the menu. Equally good. We shared a plate of the Papas; the garlic sauce, although bright pink, was delectable. They have a fine selection of brews and ciders on tap. I ordered the Finn River Organic Cider and felt it went well with the meal (dry, subtle flavor). Service was cafeteria style (order at the counter). It did take a while for our food to arrive--there was a larger party just ahead of us and everything is freshly made--but we really didn't mind the wait. FYI, the place is tiny, and I could see it filling quickly at busy times. There are two large tables inside (we shared one with another couple), a smattering of tables for 2, and some counter seating inside and out. Great place! I'll definitely be back!

The quesabirria tacos were the best item I ordered and came with chopped white onions and cilantro. I would definitely try that again. I had to use salsas from the salsa bar to help with the rest of the enchiladas. Next time I would try the other kinds of enchiladas with different sauce flavors. I didn't like the smoky or spiciest salsas, but the green salsa and mild red salsa taste good enough to drink. I wish I could pack the pickled carrots myself because they're kept in small baggies with only a few inside, and I need a ton of those, especially to make up for not getting free chips.

A/C was running high as it was a super humid and hot Saturday. The restaurant is one big open space with large, comfortable booths lining the walls and a selection of tables in the center. THE FOOD: We immediately had warm, thick tortilla chips and house made red salsa on the table. Salsa is on the spicier side, but was absolutely delicious. We had the Cadillac margarita (moderately strong and well mixed), tacos dorado with steak (fried and seasoned perfectly), and corn tacos with birria (melt-in-your-mouth and perfect temp). The bar is its own little mixology section and is very well stocked. SIDE NOTES: We were way too full for dessert, but there were several nice options that all looked and smelled amazing as they passed us.
