Came to this TacoTime (Taco Time) on Highway 99 in Edmonds for dinner yesterday, Thursday 23 March 2023. It was about 5 p.m. and I was fortunate to have only one person ahead of me in line and a fresh batch of Mexi-Fries (mexi fries) finishing cooking just after I placed my order. The worker I interacted with was kind and ordering was quick. I ordered a 2 beef Baja taco combo meal, which came with a soda of choice and Mexi-Fries in addition to the 2 beef Baja tacos. I chose to eat in the restaurant and got a booth all to myself. The Mexi-Fries were crispy, hot, and delicious. The beef Baja tacos had a double soft corn tortilla shell, juicy and well seasoned beef, and fresh vegetables. For the sodas the ice was a smaller size, which my teeth appreciated. Ordered a white chicken chili bowl. I'm not even kidding, this is what they gave me. Half full, and clearly ran out of chili because there's almost no liquid and a giant pile of black beans. This is the second time I've come to this location and they've not filled the soup bowls at all, but this time was just blatantly obvious. read more

Over the years I have tolerated the inconsistency of making their products. Sometimes it good and sometimes bad in making the products. Tonight attempted to order chicken tacos and response they are out of chicken. Normally Taco Time is pretty good, especially the fried burritos and the soft tacos, but today my bean soft taco was TERRIBLE. The beans had absolutely no flavor; Rosarita's or Old El Paso from a can is much better. I don't know if they're trying a new recipe or perhaps they forgot to season this batch, but it was like getting a mouthful of paste. I had to deconstruct my taco and mix some salt and flavor inside just so I could finish it. I hope this was an isolated incident. No matter what, though, the tater tots are always good. I have been a patron of this taco time for 40+ years. I remember when the original one was built And my brother-in-law worked there in high school. I have always loved the crisp beef burrito. But I have noticed over time they are getting smaller snd smaller. While increasing in price. Yesterday I stopped by and got one. This was ridiculous! Check out the photo I have. It was barely larger then my finger and cost me 4.15! I don't know if it's just this location or all of them. I am very dissatisfied. Taco Time at this location food is always on point. My favorites are the beef soft taco, the crustos and the crisp chicken burrito with ranch for dipping. My only complaint was the wrong hours on Google and so when I arrived at 1045am to order there was no sign on the ordering speaker box. I figured there was some sort of problem when the lady in front of me said no answer. Also 4 people behind me! There was a sign after waiting at the speaker box on the pickup slide door.......saying opens at noon due to staffing shortage. Please put a note on the speaker menu box. Super frustrating to wait and wait and then realize TT wasn't open. Google says TT opens at 10am. This is not true. read more

Some how this place is more consistent at screwing up orders than getting them out the window correct, as far back as I can remember every single order was incorrect and or lacking items. Years ago this place was good and reliable in you get what you paid for, now days it's a bunch of millennials in there I think, and they don't give a crap about their quality. Have had enough. This location has had a tendency to mess up drive through orders but we were able to walk in if it was wrong better yet eat in the dining room. Now neither is an option so if your order is wrong you either tough it out or wait in drive through line again. Guess we will have to go out of our way to the other locations. read more

This person did not change their gloves after touching the phone and went back to rolling burritos. This team of employees obviously does not take sanitation seriously during a pandemic. Just another example of Gringo Mexican food. We were in a hurry, so we stopped for breakfast. They don't serve breakfast so we ordered burritos. Without a doubt the worst burritos we've ever eaten. Over salted, too much tortilla. My wife could not finish hers due to the salt content. I have never eaten here before and never will again. This location is close to work. I pay more to support a local store that composts and recycles. Every time I come here; there are new employees, someone new seems to be in charge every few months. The food is usually okay. Customer service is meh at this location, depending on who they have working. If it's a young kid, most don't act appropriately.....I've worked in customer service for 20+ years....joking around loudly in the back of an open kitchen and swearing constantly is not okay. (The guys that were doing this seem to be gone from this location.) Today the food was not good. I ordered a crispy bean burrito and mexi fries. My order was in my hands in three minutes or less. The tots were cold and oily, extra oily.....roll them on a napkin to get the oil off....oily. My crispy bean burrito was extra oily, soggy and limp. It was smooshie when I bit into it. It's been a few years since the remodel was completed, I just haven't had the chance to update my review. This store is the closest for me to get my "CRISP" burrito groove on. Bean, chicken or beef, they are all good. This unit has great staff, and get my order correct as I two wheel it through the drive though on the way out and about. I moved to Washington recently and haven't lived in a state before where Taco Time existed. The pros: I love the corn tortillas! I think the corn tortilla taste is more authentic than flour tortillas. The taste is more overt than flour. The price for food is also pretty good. Got two thick tacos, tots, and a drink for about 7.50$. The cons: I ordered a two baja taco combo. I didn't really taste the baja sauce at all. Kind of a big disappointment. They overkill it with the lettuce. And the meat is kind of subpar but so is most meat from fast food places. Pretty average fast food place. read more

Yes it's a little bit more expensive then taco bell but the food is a hell of a lot better and fresher. I really like this location cause the people working here are very friendly and very quick in getting you your order. The food is always prepared fresh and hot for every order so it doesn't have to sit under a heat lamp to keep warm. I have yet to go inside and order I stick with the drive thru since it's easier for me. The building itself looks like really new and from some of the older reviews it was remodeled recently. My favorite meal to get is the either the BBQ chicken soft taco with Mexi fries and a soda for under $10 or the Enchilada platter that comes with two beef or chicken enchiladas, pinto beans, rice and chips for somewhere around $8.00. A must have is the hot sauce that they make. There is nothing better then dipping your Mexi fries into it or putting it on your burrito or taco. read more

I decided to write this review after reading how disappointed other patrons have been with their experiences at this Taco Time. For years this Taco Time was owned by Mexican couple. Their picture hung on their wall by the checkin counter. I t was above the average Taco Time. Their food was always fresh and very good. Last week I went there and I was served the most disappointing Fiesta Platter ever. Not only was it not hot, but really punny portions. I asked for the Senior Discount and they said they haven't done that for years. Wrong. I have been going there ever since it opened and have always gotten the discount. In the future, I will go to the Lynnwood Taco Time where the owner still takes pride in her restaurant and the food is hot and very fresh. read more

Having been gone for 2 years went to 3 Taco Times today to find one clean enough to eat at. Walked out of 2 stopped at Edmonds Taco Time had to clean own table and benches to sit down Mangers sitting at table BSing how hard they work. Pick up a towel clean this place and do some customer service. After 20 years of being a customer I'm done these restaurants are filthy dirty. It's the chain we all know in the Pac NW. This one's on the older side with a small parking lot and they don't have the Coke machine with all the flavors like the other Taco Times have. Burrito was good, tots were hot and the crushed ice was fab as always. read more

I have eaten at this Taco Time for many years....even went thru TT withdrawls when they remodeled a while back. It saddens me to have to write this but the quality that has been there in the past seems to be gone. I am a HUGE mexi fry fan, who isn't, and usually have to order some when I visit. The last 3 or 4 times they tasted like they had been fried in old grease. I would throw half of them away which is just plain unheard of! I went for lunch today and ordered a natural soft chicken taco...It was OKAY but the lettuce tasted really strange. don't know if it was old or what. Ordered a casita burrito and mexi fries for pickup through the app. Burrito was quite a bit smaller than I remember. But I was okay with that being the larger size was always too big for me anyways. I picked up within 10 mins of placing the order and it was all super cold. Had to heat it up in my microwave. I'm not sure how it could have gotten that cold so fast.... Also was missing the chips and salad dressing. Turns out I couldn't finish this size either. Did not taste good and my stomach started to hurt a few bites in. Sorry taco tiMe but I will not be visiting this location again. The last visit that I had here the person taking the orders and bagging up food kept texting on his phone. This is not good tor sanitary reasons. Even pre covid this isn't a good thing to see. My fiancée came here yesterday and ordered for myself and her. She specifically said no guacamole on her burrito. She comes home and opens it up and there's heaps of guac everywhere. She ate maybe 3 bites and threw the rest away. Mexi tots tasted stale. Sad visit. Prices are through the roof. Don't even bother with calling customer service. They said they would send a check for a refund for a previous visit since it was all screwed up. Never happened. Never came. Please inform your staff that it is gross to text on the phone and touch food at the same time. Also this location shouldn't even be asking for tips. Pretty standard "Mexican" fast food. I got chicken tacos, they really didn't taste good, actually they had no taste at all. The pico de gallo is just cut up tomatoes. The potato things that came with them weren't too bad. Service was fast and nice though so they get credit for that. read more

Oh, my beloved Taco Time, when did you become mediocre? I used to be a long-time Taco Time fanatic, however my loyalties waned over the last few years. I only recently found myself trying out a handful of the nearby Taco Time restaurants, hoping to capture the deliciousness that once was. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. THE SERVICE: I am sorry that they are confused by things such as "no onions on my burrito, please". Even sorrier that I have to endure stomach aches when they forget. Even more sorry that I have to throw away nearly an entire burrito because they forget. WAIT TIMES: I was pleasantly surprised that my waits at this Taco Time have been minimal. Even during busy lunch time hours I was served quickly. But, since they weren't busy, that means the food has also probably been sitting under heat lamps for goodness-knows how long. Which brings me to... FOOD QUALITY: Stale. My mexi-fries were soggy and my burritos luke warm. Aside form the mistakes on my order, the food was only mediocre. The fries tasted adequate, aside from the limp, soggy texture. But it wasn't thrilling. And come on, mexi-fries should be thrilling. This Taco Time is no longer closed for remodeling - the remodel has been complete for some time now and the place still looks all shiny and brand-new. Service is quick and accurate, the staff are super friendly, and the food is tasty. The location is awesome because it's super close to my house. The drive-thru is open late (well, 10pm on weeknights!), which is excellent for a late dinner taco run. I recommend this location! read more

I think it was Grub hub that said my address was out of range, how can .5 mile from the store be out of their territory? Oh well, great food and the hot sauce is the best. First time into taco time in years, forgot they were still around. Do they advertise? Small market share, seems like no media presence. It was a good experience, employees went out of their way to do their best. Food was good but didn't have too much flexibility with pricing on the menu. Goes from overpriced to outrageously overpriced, no value menu to grab a quick snack from if you're not necessarily looking for a full meal. I'm surprised they haven't gone out of business, but I'd be happy to return for more sometime if they keep their doors open. read more

This place has really deteriorated over the last year. Their hiring practices are just awful. They have people at the front counter that can't speak English well enough to take an order. Sometimes nobody is even at the front counter. The whole place is just lazy, serving taco salads in paper to go plates instead of glass, out of salt and pepper packets, out of thousand island dressing etc. MY ADVICE IS TO STAY AWAY FROM HERE. Very disappointing experience at taco time. I ordered some pinto bean crisp burritos and they didn't have any in cheese in them, just unseasoned refried pinto beans. I asked for some hot sauce and the cups were barely filled- more like 1/4 of the way full with hot sauce where other taco times give you a full cup of hot sauce. All compostable and mostly locally sourced I adore all taco times especially their crisp pinto bean burritos and fish or coconut shrimp tacos. Not to mention the Mexi Fries, which are a staple for any visit. I love Taco Time and I've had great customer service at the edmonds location. 3 cheers to taco time! Btw I use their app and love the random free items I get whether for a Mariners triple or a Seahawks rushing touchdown or just a random weekend credit. Big fan as you can tell. read more

I want to preface this by saying that I really love Taco Time. I love it more than any normal person should ever love any kind of food establishment with a drive-thru in it. I love it so much in fact, that even after I worked for a Taco Time for 3 years in high school and into college, I still wasn't sick of it and if anything, loved it even more. So it really pains me to write this review and I'm hoping that they are able to fix the issues at this one so that I can update it to the 5 stars it usually deserves. I live less than a mile away from this location and I eat here pretty frequently, and in addition to items often missing from my order (I check for sides of ranch before I drive off now because they've been missing so many times), the mexi-fries and crisp burritos are NEVER hot. I know exactly how long it takes to cook those things, and I understand that the 2-4 minutes really slows the line down when it's busy so a few are prepped ahead of time, but I often come when it's not busy and everything has clearly been sitting under the warmers for quite a while despite that. It's to the point where now I request my mexi-fries extra crispy and my crisp burritos fresh because otherwise I end up reheating them in the toaster oven when I get home. Between the lukewarm crispy items, frequently missing ranch and soft tacos, and then a snippy comment last week about not being set up for the app, I might have to drive down to 145th for my fix from now on. Like most women, I friggin love Taco Time. I have a girlfriend who now lives in Florida (NO Taco Time) and the first thing we do is hit Taco Time a time or two when she's in town. I have a natural homing instinct and am somehow able to find the nearest Taco Time despite being in new and unfamiliar neighborhoods. Imagine my shock then, when one day, this particular Taco Time disappeared from it's lot. Overnight, it was gone. The horror! Luckily a few months later a brand spanking new one suddenly appeared in the same spot. No matter, but I'm continually thankful that it's there since it is closest to our house and the Taco Time off 143 and Aurora has a weird drive-thru. Love the natural soft burritos (chicken or beef), the soft tacos, the fish tacos, the crisp burritos and the mexi fries. We always get the sour cream ranch sauce for dipping. It's fast food Mexican and not exactly healthy but it's a better option that some places. And though it costs more than McDonalds and Taco Bell, it's far more tasty. read more

I have been going to this Taco Time location for a long time now since it is near my home and it's been sad seeing service and quality of food slowly going down hill. After a nearly 20 minute wait in the drive thru lane tonight resulting in a soft taco with an extra chewy, odd tasting tortilla, I am done with this location. I like Taco Time, but this one is not up to par with other Taco Time restaurants. They have very few sodas to choose from unlike other Taco Times that have 100+ selections. When I went in the empty tables had food and or newspapers on the tables. I had to clean a table so I would have a place to sit. There was also dried cheese, sour cream and hot sauce on the floor. A staff was taking food to tables, but never stopped and cleaned up the empty dirty tables. read more
