Last time we ordered I should've stuck to saying I'd never go back. We ordered several orders of tacos. The guy even confirmed upon pick up that the Al pastor tacos had no cilantro or onions. This place is amazing, so nice to have some good authentic tacos with all the booming flavors. The meats were so tender and juicy which made them so enjoyable. As far as the street elote in a cup it's very citrusy. The horchata was amazing it's been awhile since having such an amazing drink. The service was ok. I bit of a confusion happened when ordering and didn't get an items we wanted but weren't charged either. Apart from that the food wasn't long of a wait. I'd like to give this place a good review but I can't because I didn't get my meal. I ordered on the internet and picked it up in the store on Fisher Blvd. When I got home I opened the bag and found a burrito and an order of flautas'. I checked the receipt and the name on it was Sam. I'm not Sam. I called the restaurant and they offered to send someone over with the correct order, but by then it was getting late and we decided to keep Sam's order. That being said, I'll review Sam's order: Sam, the shrimp burrito was cold by the time I got home, so I reheated it in the microwave. The shrimp was good, nice size not over cooked. The yellow rice and the sauce was good too, but there was a load of raw red cabbage that I had to remove. Next time you might want to pass on the cabbage and go with the black beans instead. The flautas looked great, the mole and queso fresco made them visually appealing, but the pulled chicken was bone dry. I had to used several of the salsa verde's that came in your order to make the chicken edible. Speaking of salsa verde, there were 10 little containers inside the bag and a giant bag of tortilla chips. I would have prefered a large single container of the salsa verde and a smaller bag of the chips. Let's face it Sam, no one really needs all those carbs and grease, you know what I mean... So, next time Sam, I'd order the burrito without the cabbage, maybe switch out the pulled chicken flautas for el pastor, and add some guac to your order and I'll be happy to eat your dinner. What a great spot! It's tucked in a very small shopping center in Toms River. You can easily miss it the first time... we did. It is a small place with about 7-8 tables I would say. The guy at the front who I want to assume may be the owner or manager is very nice and can quickly take your order. They bring your food over to you and it didn't take more than 10 minutes. We got an order of Cheese Nachos, Chicken Mole Burrito and Grilled Chicken Taco Salad. The Mole Chicken was amazing and the burrito was huge. I loved adding some of the green salsa as it was a tiny bit dry but with salsa on the side you can make it to your liking. I liked the Oaxaca cheese inside, it's definitely more authentic. My girlfriends Taco Salad looked and tasted very good, she was happy. I don't think it was super cheap but you get a ton of food. Cheese Nachos, burrito and salad came to almost $30 but well worth it. This is the type of place you come to for legit food, at fast casual level prices. read more

I am obsessed with this place! The elote is amazing but a little pricey at five dollars. The empanadas are so crispy and so yummy inside with a lot of stuffing. The beef and cheese are my favorite. The Mexican tacos are really good. They give you so much meat compared to other taco places and their tacos are very large! I love their salsa Verde as well. They also have birria tacos on the weekends, which are by far the best Birra tacos I have ever had, and that's even speaking from taco places in Florida! This place is always good. I was not the biggest fan of their chicken enchiladas, however. Overall really great place with kind of stuff. The dining room is very small so I would recommend getting your food to go. read more

I walked in and there was a small table to pick up orders so there was no contact. I generally like to order fish tacos and I have to say these were among the best I've had. The cod was huge and the sauce and tortilla were great. I also ordered rice and beans. I assumed the rice would be your typical Spanish rice but it wasn't. It was very tasty. Every Tuesday they run a taco Tuesday special, and they have a solid selection to pick from, other wise they have their typical selection of taco types and it's a spectacular selection. They are located in an unassuming strip mall on Fischer Blvd. A previous reviewer said that the tortillas taste freshly made, and that is true. Everything is very fresh there, and it's hard to know how they do it for that price. The atmosphere feels very authentic, as if you were in Mexico. I always pass this place on the way to the ShopRite. I'm so happy I made the jump and actually tried this place. A few friends also recommended this restaurant and talked up the tacos. Happy to say, these tacos were FANTASTIC. Dare I say...taco-tastic. Forgive the pun. In all honesty, I am from Hudson County and authentic Mexican tacos are a dime-a-dozen. These were just as good as some of my favorite places up north. I ordered the al pastor tacos (street style, I think, the one with cilantro and onions) and they were delicious - flavorful, full of pineapple chunks and grilled onions. Just the way I like them! Three tacos in an order is pretty standard; however, they were pretty stuffed with meat. We ordered some chips and salsa too. The chips were tasty, but honestly I think they were a day old. I heated them up in the oven to give some life back to them. Also, the smokey salsa was a bit odd...it tasted (or rather, the texture) was more like chili oil then actual salsa. Perhaps this is a specific style of salsa that I'm not familiar with, and if that is the case, forgive my ignorance! The green salsa is also a little meh, so if you're ordering salsa, stick with the mild classic. For the record, I tried this place during COVID...and I was very impressed with the contactless pick up. They gave you a table number, and your food is picked up from that table - no contact necessary. I will definitely be ordering from this place again! This is currently the taco to beat in the Tom's River/ Seaside area. read more
