I'm giving it 5 but let me explain what happened... We went in yesterday morning for the first time. Food was great, but the burrito didn't have enough meat. Today we came in today around 7pm. We ordered a wet burrito, 2 tostaditas, and a tostada de ceviche. As we ordered, we explained to the woman we didn't get enough meat in our burrito if it was possible can we get enough. She agreed, she also explained that a wet burrito was around 3$ more so we paid and waited. Our food was ready and we noticed our "wet" burrito wasn't wet. We told her her our burrito wasn't wet and she apologized and said it was her fault and gave it to the cook. She said they weren't going to remake it they will just add the sauce. Which we thought that was weird because the inside will be dry but we agreed. We also told her light cheese. Then she proceeded to tell us she was going to charge us extra for the sauce. But we told her we ordered a wet burrito and already paid. She told us yeah but she forgot to charge us for a wet burrito and she charged us for a normal burrito. We told her but that was her mistake and they weren't even going to remake it the right way & they charge every time for using a card as payment. After going back and forth for about few minutes she finally agreed to not charge us. I didn't like that she made the mistake of not charging us correctly the first time, then she wouldn't remake our food the right way and still expected us to pay extra. Anyways they put extra cheese on the burrito as well lol.. the cook today was amazing! He made the food so good and was so polite. aside from all of that we think the food was great. Been wanting to support this small business since they were under construction. Food was fresh and hot. Fernando (the owner) is very attentive and friendly when it comes to customer service here. There is a lot of space to eat in here so bring all ur family members. The Camerones a la díabla were pretty good, the amount of shrimp is not skimpy at all so I like that. It's not spicy at all, I was expecting a little spice but for me I give it a 5/10 on spice level. The al pastor burrito was very filling and delicous I would say. Most of my experiences with this restaurant was before they closed down for necessary maintenance which over a year ago. The tacos here are top notch along with their salsas. They make their food well and efficiently. They are very pleasant in taking your order. My favorite is their fish tacos, done Baja (or Ensenada) style. I have a Mexican restaurant within several feet away from where I live but the food made at Taco Tapatio is superior to that restaurant. It's a block and a half away but definitely worth it. Got the fish tacos and it had no taste. I POURED the salsa verde on there and it was still completely flavorless. I couldn't comprehend how I was chewing on so much and tasted so little.
