The owner was genuinely friendly and patient when I dropped my wallet with a huge line behind me. I can't wait to find them the next time I'm in the city

Several different options with hotdogs and polish sausage- my absolute favorites are the Seattle Dog and the Midnight Sophie. Whichever you choose- don't forget to ask for some of their homemade slaw to top that beautiful dog! I first found Secret Sausage outside the Owl and Thistle in Pioneer Square. Then outside the Clink after a game. It was an elusive Seattle street food treat- and in a lot of ways still is. They've expanded in recent years so sometimes you can find them at Microsoft campuses on occasion too. But I'll let you in on a little secret... they have a deal with the Thunderbird Tavern in Ballard. So if you're craving a Seattle Dog on a random Tuesday at 8:30pm for example... high tail it to the Thunderbird and get you one! Especially on a warm Summer evening: a Seattle dog with extra slaw, a glass of your favorite cold drink and a spot on the back patio - doesn't that sound so good right now?! Another favorite with Secret Sausage is The Firlander Sauce. While I personally am not a big fan of hot sauce, this spicy condiment has been a staple in our family for several years now. I've been told it makes a good gourmet hotdog over-the-top good! Ha! So if you're a hot sauce fan- it's a must try. Locally owned small business with a commitment to quality. Every hotdog I've ever had from them (ahem, and there have been a few over the years,) has been consistently good. Seriously, the best!

A Seattle dog is a quintessential food item while visiting Seattle. I am happy to say the Dog In The Park Seattle Dog lived up to my expectations. A crispy grilled dog, cream cheese, and plenty of grilled veggies. There are loads of toppings to choose from, too, but the young man serving up the dogs recommended just plain for the first time to really get the classic experience. I think some light mustard and maybe some saurkraut would have been a great addition. Friendly service and good recommendations for a first-timer, though. This location is located not too far from Pike Place and Westlake station. Convenient location. The price is great too! Go enjoy a Dog In The Park!

This was during Sakura Con, and for being one of several food stands occupying real estate around the Seattle Convention Center Arch Building, it gets a ton of traction. Big props to the lone server and cook who was taking orders back and forth from my friends and I and others who rushed to grab some food; he was cooking, taking payments and answering questions all throughout the time we were there. No seating or restrooms available here as it's outside. They were also out of vegan hot dogs, which didn't sit too well with one of my friends. For the Seattle Dog, it's a regular hot dog with caramelized vegetables in a somewhat lightly crispy bun and topped with some cream cheese. Hot dog was so good, vegetables added an extra savory tone that complimented the hot dog, and bun was so tasty I could have asked for another Seattle Dog, though each totals up to $10 before tax, which sounds pretty pricey for a hot dog. Regardless I would still come back here during conventions if I don't want to have anything inside the convention center itself.

There were quite a few stands to choose from but no other stand had anything like it so I knew this was a must try item of the day. It was! This was the ultimate breakfast sandwich. I've learned it's made with pambazo bread that's dipped in a red guajillo pepper sauce and fried. Mine had chorizo and was sooo dang good. Definitely turned some heads eating this sandwich and you'll want to try it for yourself!

Recetas de Abuelita & Outsider Pizza is a family-run business located in the heart of Beacon Hill. Upon entering the restaurant, you are immediately greeted by kind hosts :) On the Recetas de Abuelita side, They have an extensive menu from Enchiladas de Mole, Gorditas, Sopes, Tacos and so much more! Or if you're feeling like grabbing some pizza, Outsider Pizza has your traditional pizza flavors (pepperoni, Hawaiian, cheese, margherita), as well as Asada and Al Pastor Pizza! On this visit, I tried the Enchiladas de Mole. This dish is served along with rice and beans, enchiladas are topped off with lettuce, onions and cotija cheese. Very delicious, the mole is a blend of sweet and spicy. Would definitely come back and order the enchiladas again. As well as try the rest of the menu!
