As a brand-new customer, I didn't know whether I was supposed to pick up or expect delivery, since that information wasn't mentioned on their Facebook page or communicated upfront. I reached out the day of, and they explained that delivery is between 5:30-6:30 PM. We waited, but the food didn't arrive until 7:01 PM. The only message I received was at 6:36 PM saying they were on their way -- no heads-up about the delay or an apology, which felt a bit off for a first-time experience. Portion-wise, you definitely get a good amount of food -- at around $18 a person, the price feels fair for everything included. But unfortunately, presentation didn't live up to expectations. The lasagna didn't look as appetizing as I had imagined, and the Italian cookies seemed store-bought, which was a letdown since I was hoping for something homemade. The green beans were the standout! None of us usually eat them, but we all genuinely enjoyed them -- I'll be incorporating them into our regular meals now. Overall, this first experience left me unsure. I really wanted to love everything and support a small business, but the delayed delivery, lack of communication, and underwhelming presentation make me hesitant to order again. Although I wanted a simple sandwich lunch for work, I am sure she can custom a meal given lots of lead time. When she emailed me her menu, I was overwhelmed by all the choices. I ended up getting a sandwich buffet lunch which included 3 types of sandwiches, house-made drinks and bottled carbonated flavored water, salad, and cookies. She also included plates, plastic silverware and to-go boxes. I had three types of sandwiches: Turkey Bacon with avocado, lettuce, tomato, onion, rosemary aioli on herb focaccia Roast Beef with caramelized onion, arugula, herb roasted tomato, blue cheese, horseradish spread on challah bun and Grilled Portobello with spinach, wine braised onion, tomato, basil pesto aioli on Herb Foccacia My order also had a green salad topped with yellow and red mini tomatoes, crumbled feta, red onion, olives (basically tons of veggies) with two house made dressings on the side: green goddess and balsamic. I also had bottled sparking water and two in house made drinks: watermelon water and hibiscus mango tea. They were both delicious but the watermelon water...wow! It tasted like liquid starbursts but I bet it's much healthier! I also had a mixed platter of cookies: chocolate chip, chocolate mint (there may have been another flavor but I missed it.) I'm only sorry I didn't take a picture of the spread it was so delicious that my staff ate everything once it was delivered. It was a hit --everyone was raving about the food. I would definitely go with them again for catering. I hope they open a café soon because their food is full of flavor and delicious!
