4+ catering / food truck that has the classics. Not huge on the frills and has pretty much what you need and they service the surrounding community. I was working in the area and saw this truck on the way to my location in Benicia. I ordered the breakfast burrito snd It was a pretty large burrito with plenty delicious fillings including some crispy potatoes. I've only been to this location and it was parked outside in the parking lot of the industrial area. Just a quick way to get some quality eats for a good price! read more

Ranchero Catering - Carne Asada taco - Caterers Near Me - Martinez, California

I would like to say that the employees who work at these trucks are as friendly as can be, so I have a hard time writing this review. I like the food for the most part, but when you order a carne asada burrito and pay $16.41 for a regular burrito that isn't all that big, it would be nice to get actual carne asada in the burrito. I had maybe a handful of pieces, not full bites of carne and most of the meat was fatty and not edible. I basically got a bean rice and cheese burrito for $16.41. I get restaurants are trying to save money however they can, but to skimp the meat so badly, it changes the consistency of the burrito and makes it undesirable. I wish I had better things to say, but this had to be noted. I will not be ordering burritos from here any longer and have already had to quit ordering the carne asada fries for other reasons. Requesting crispy fries to get half cooked fries sent me over the top. It's $17.00 plus tax for a half order of carne asada fries. I say half order, because the size of the container is half the size of a full container, yet they charge full container prices. I'm just not on board with overpaying, not getting the order correct and being skimpy on the servings of what's matters, the meat. If you want to know why I only stop in when I'm with others, it's mainly because of the reasoning I just provided. read more

From start to finish, everything about this catering experience was outstanding. Communication was smooth and professional, and every detail was handled perfectly. The setup was quick, organized, and ready to serve in no time -- it's clear they know exactly what they're doing. The food itself was incredible -- full of authentic flavor, fresh ingredients, and that perfect balance of seasoning that keeps you coming back for more. Guests at my event couldn't stop talking about how good everything tasted and how fast the service was. It's rare to find a team that combines great food with such professionalism and efficiency. I'll definitely be booking them again and would recommend them to anyone who wants a stress-free, delicious catering experience that truly impresses. read more

I had the privilege of partnering with Ranchero Catering Food Truck for our annual Eggstravaganza event, which we host for the city of Berkeley. Jose, the owner, was incredibly kind and easy to communicate with throughout the entire process. The food was excellent, and we received numerous compliments from attendees--many even said it was the best Mexican food they've had in the Bay Area. read more

I am a marketer and throw many events and I'm always looking for good food. I came across Ranchero Catering on a fluke just searching for taco trucks. They had no Yelp reviews so I was a bit skeptical BUT the website looked very professional and food photos were appealing so I sent an email inquiring about their truck catering services. Jose called me back right away and answered all my questions, he was very thorough and professional. I booked him right away. The day of the event Jose came right on time, he took 5 minutes to set up his food truck and was taking orders immediately. They had a perfect ordering/ preparing system where the food came out super fast, fresh and very flavorful. I was very impressed with the quickness, professionalism, service and menu options. I already booked him for my next event next week. If you are looking for a food truck or catering tour next party/event then I 100% recommend Ranchero catering. They are the real deal! read more

This food cart has been serving up kick ass burritos and tacos at lunch break for the refinery since I got here. They do not disappoint. You stand in line and think man I am wasting my lunch break standing instead of resting. But once you bite into that super burrito....it all becomes worth it. But honestly. They're super quick. Very solid taco truck that came to our work event. Definitely deserves your chance, try em out. I was torn between 4 and 5 stars because I only tried their tacos so it's hard to fully judge them. No complaints at all, but to be a 5 might need that extra little something. Again no fault of theirs since they delivered what was expected. Tried their al pastor and asada street tacos. Tacos came on double tortilla, with a choice if mild or spicy salsa, lime carrots and jalapeno. They prep it all for you so no need to accessorize your food. Spicy salsa wasnt very hot, then again my heat tolerance is probably high. Good meal read more

We had Ranchero cater a graduation party last week. It was a huge hit. Not only did everyone compliment the food, but they also said nice things about the Ranchero crew who were very polite and took time to explain the options and answer questions. After the event, Ranchero gave us containers of leftover meats, rice, and beans, (which we had as our meals for a couple of nights!) and they cleaned up nicely before they left. We're definitely looking forward to having them cater our future parties. They definitely made the dinner part of the equation very easy! read more

Taco Tuesday = Another taco truck review! But THIS truck is the BEST taco truck in Concord, and arguably the best taco truck around in my opinion. Addiction is an understatement when you talk about the El Rancho Catering taco truck. At one point, I was coming here multiple times a week like clockwork just to get my taco fix. Yep, it's just that good! You can find the truck between 5-10pm daily parked right in front of Los Rancheros Taqueria off of Monument Blvd. If you get there right at 5, you might have to wait a minute for them to get their truck set up. Recommendations?! Well, pretty much everything is bomb here! I have a thing for their steak tacos though... mm hmm, we're in love! That steak is just mesmerizing. What's even more mesmerizing dare I say... are the flippin' GARNISHES! I go so crazy over them, I swear! Those roasted mini onions, charred jalapenos, spicy cucumbers, and fresh pieces of radishes are just so devine! YAAAASSS! If my plate doesn't have these garnishes on the side, I will slightly get annoyed. Luckily, they are pretty consistent in always adding these to my plate. The service is nothing special, but it's a taco truck for crying out loud. Just make my tacos how I like them and it's a done deal! Sometimes, they only have Spanish speaking employees working the register, but they usually understand what I want to order anyways, so it's no biggie. On special occasions, you can sometimes find a table right next to the truck that makes some amazing elote! Tacos? Elote? I'm game! I may be a little bit biased but I will proudly proclaim that this is the best taco truck that I have ever eaten at! These tacos are the most authentic street tacos that I've ever had and they have easily beaten the tacos trucks that I have eaten at in the city and in Oakland. It's funny that a taco truck like this in located in Concord of all places. Even if I didn't already live in this city, I would travel far and wide for these damn tacos! They are 1000% worth it! The meat is always juicy, veggies are always fresh, the salsa is outstanding, and their garnishes just murder any and all other taco trucks around! And the best part is... they are dirt cheap! $1.50 a pop! You just can't beat it! Make sure you drop by the El Rancho Catering taco truck on your next visit out the 'cord for the best street taco experience of your LIIIIFE! read more

Hands down the best party decision I've made. I hosted a 60 person adult birthday/graduation party with catering from Ranchero. Customer service was excellent called days poor to check headcount, before coming and was 15 minutes early to set up. Set up in second and took the mess with them.. yes!!!! The food was flavorful, warm and extremely tasty. Had more than enough for people to get 2nds and 3rds. So many options. Something different for everybody, as we know how hard it is to feed so many people with dietary striction's nowadays. The staff was extremely helpful, fast and always had a smile.. The truck was clean with chips and salsa outside. The chips were actually heads down my favorite parts. Definitely hand made and not from a bag. The El Ranchero Taco Truck sits out in a desolate stretch near the Acme dump, yet is centrally located to serve a clientele consisting mostly of workers from the nearby chemical plants, refineries, and associated industrial businesses. These are hard working folks who are often short of time, mindful of their cash, and appreciative of a good and filling breakfast or lunch. I stopped in for lunch yesterday and ordered the regular (small) burrito for $5 and it was plenty big. As previously noted, the tortilla was fresh, the chicken was tender, and the entire combination was well balanced and flavourful. And although there are no tables in the immediate area of the truck, the picnic tables at the nearby Waterbird Regional Reserve offer superb dining with a view read more

This taco truck, really ANY food truck, is a very welcome addition to the deluge of delis that us working Walnut Creekers have to choose from every day. Parked near the ticketing area of the WC BART station, this truck is walking distance from many downtown office buildings. And the word is out, there was a decent crowd gathered around to buy! Be aware, they do have a credit card machine set-up, but on 11/13/13, it wasn't functioning so hopefully that will be resolved quick. Their menu is concise and the prices are quite good - you can't beat a $1.75 taco! I ordered 3 tacos, 1 each of chicken, asada steak and al pastor pork, and a small bottled water, and it only rang up to $6.25. Friends also purchased the taco plate and steak quesdilla, and our food was received in less than 5 minutes. Everything is packaged to go so walking back to an office building with the food is no problem. Tacos are served street style, topped with onions, cilantro and salsa. The food is fine, not mindblowing. Of the 3, the steak taco was my favorite, and the steak worked really well in the quesadilla as well. Definitely the most flavorful of the 3 meats. The refried beans that come with the taco plate are also a bit lacking in seasoning. The quesadilla was a winner though - served very warm, lots of steak and melty cheese, and salsa, guac and sour cream for dipping, plus all meals come with marinated carrots. I'd like to return to try their burrito, the true true test of a great Mexican joint. As of now, with the goods we sampled, they are indeed A-OK. read more

The owner was attentive and professional; he responded to my queries in a timely manner. The food was well seasoned and prepared with care. The ingredients used were fresh Our guest thoroughly enjoyed the food It's so cool to have a food truck pull up in your driveway to cater an event I didn't worry about guest contaminating food by double dipping or using the same plate for second helpings. Pretty much 50/50 on this spot. I came out of the BART today and noticed the food trucks were outside. Being past 5 I decided to have an early dinner while waiting for my ride. I decided on getting a chicken super burrito from this spot. The guy who helped me wasn't friendly at all. He didn't say much back and didn't even tell me to have a good day. I ended up waiting AWHILE for my food. They didn't seem too busy, but I waited close to ten minutes for my burrito. The burrito itself was so and so. While it was filling the chicken just didn't taste that fresh. The real unsatisfactory thing about this was the burrito was $9.50!! Super overpriced for what you get. It would have been better if it came with chips and salsa at least too. Overall, I'll be skipping this spot going forward it just wasn't that good. read more

I was excited to find a new food truck in Concord serving Mexican/Salvadorean food. The menu suggests the breakfast burritos are their specialty since it took up half of it. The second half was a tacos and tortas. Then there were specials taped up to the order window. Craving some pupusas (and seeing everyone was ordering them) I ordered a plate and for six bucks I got two pupusas with rice and beans. Large horchata two more bucks. The pupusas were plate sized but kinda pancake flat. The curtido was nicely pickled. The beans and rice were OK. Cutting into the pupusas I got what I was looking for. A hot, cheesy web full of chicharron bits. Perfect. I really enjoyed the meal and left full. Thanks Ranchero!
