All around spectacular. I even got an horchata de coco to wash it all down and that made it even better. The shop is small but has some seating indoor and outdoor. Great decor and art on the walls. Service was fast and staff were very nice. I am not in LA much but will go be going back to Sonoratown.

They had this crispy cheese around the outside that gave every bite a great crunch and a blue tortilla that's soft. Once you fold everything together, it gets pretty messy, but it was surprisingly really good and very flavorful. For around six bucks a taco, I really can't complain, especially considering how much they put on them. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to drive all the way back to Highland Park just for these, but I'm glad I finally tried Villa's Tacos. Definitely a unique taco experience.

I was really excited to try them out as in this area we don't have too many options in regards to food places. When I walked in I was immediately impressed, they have a TV which plays sporting events or news in the morning, a nice sitting area with tables you can move if you happen to have a larger party and they menu is not too small! The first time I went there I got a breakfast burrito which was pretty good but honestly, the potatoes were a little too mushy for me. Overall though, it had a pretty fantastic taste and was just spicy enough! About a week later I decided to go for lunch and see how the tacos were. Man, was I IMPRESSED these tacos were seriously soooooo flavorful and paired with the amazing salsa they have.. SO BOMB! Almost better than the taco truck, almost.... The lady working the register was super helpful both times I visited, the bath room was super clean and the place has a great ambiance! I was house sitting in Sunland and this place was just down the road. It would be a crime not to try tacos whenever an opportunity arises. I ordered three tacos and some french fries. Given the price of the tacos, I assumed they'd be massive. They were of average size and a bit skimpy on the meat. The salsa was very bland. The onions tasted like they were on their last leg. You know, that metallic taste onions get when they're questionable for use. Based on one trip, I would say I was not impressed. But, I'm going three-stars because the woman working the counter was friendly, and I know that you can't always judge a place on one order. read more

I used to love this place. Would eat here almost everyday for the bacon burritos. Good size, portions were great, and it felt fresh. Lately this place has gone downhill. It's currently 8:35am and they open up at 7. There is nobody here and nobody answering the phone. This place needs an overhaul as the burritos are half the size and ingredients are not the best. I wish I could give it a decent rating as they have been a staple here for me in the valley but I can't mislead other people for what they used to be. I feel this is my last time trying to eat here. Our family of 6 recently visited the Los Angeles area on a vacation. We had the good fortune to stop at The Taco Ranch in Shadow Hills. What an amazing experience. We started by being greeted with a friendly staff truly wishing our food experience to be fantastic. Easy to read menus, simple custom requests granted, Amazing food, clean environment, superior value, and awesome food made the experience truly delightful.
