Ate there at lunch based on the reviews. Was greeted and promptly seated, and free chips and salsa came out quickly. Ordered the deep fried tacos (hard to find east of Texas and New Mexico) and they looked great. Unfortunately the beef was bland and they were drowning in sour cream, way too much. We came here about 30 minutes before closing and there was a regular at the bar, which is right next to the cash register. Otherwise, the staff was getting ready for closing. We placed a to-go order and they were happy to receive it. We ordered the birria taco special they had on their chalkboard when you walked in as it wasn't on the normal menu. The staff was very friendly and the bathrooms nice and clean as we used them while we waited. The food came out quickly all bagged up and contained three tacos and the consomme. We ate the tacos in the car and they were really good. They were nice and crispy and the sauce it came with was really good. I'm glad I found this nearby location on Yelp. read more

Ordered takeout from here and didn't know what to expect for my first time. I got the veggie taco salad and was pleasantly surprised. It was very filling and had good portion sizes of all the vegetables. There were fajita veggies that were cooked and seasoned beautifully. Zero stars. To preface, I looked at the menu online before I went. Before I ordered, I asked if the tamales were already ready and they said yes.... I ordered them and paid and after I paid they said it would be a 10 minute wait... after waiting 25 minutes, I got my food and left. Once I tried them, it was a bed of masa with meat on top, but the kicker is that there no flavor in them at all. Not even salt... if you want tamales, don't get them from here. read more

We have lived here in Cumming for almost 5 years now and only heard of Taco Mexico last week so we decided to try. Big menu selection, my husband ordered the carne asada and I ordered the chicken chimichanga. Both were delicious plus we ordered a pitcher of margaritas which was fantastic. Only disappointment was that they advertised a salsa bar which was not there but it may have also been advertised before covid but we did ask for different salsas which they happily brought out to us!!. If you want real authentic Mexican food this is the place! I moved to Georgia 3 years ago from Southern California and have been searching everywhere to find half way decent Mexican food. This place didn't disappoint. The owner waited on us, she was so friendly and made recommendations. I got the birria tacos , which were amazing, and my boyfriend got the la Mexicans torta and he loved it! This spot is a million times better than Los Rios, which I think is some of the worst Mexican food I've ever had, and is just right down the street from there. I've had some really good Mexican food in my life. This place is complete opposite of that. My wife, kids, and I came in on a Saturday night around 6:30. The parking lot is pretty small but we were still able to find parking pretty easily. The place was pretty busy when we walked in but we were seated in a booth immediately. Before we ordered drinks, one of the servers brought us a basket of chips and salsa. This was a great start I thought. After some thought, we ordered some margaritas to wet the palate. Some advice, try to know what you want when the server comes to take your order because if don't, it make take a while for them to come back. After ordering, the food comes out pretty quickly. I ordered the #4 combo that comes with 2 tacos, an enchilada, and chili con queso. The chicken enchilada was the highlight. The tacos were mediocre. The chili con queso was a flat taco shell was queso on it. Seriously? My wife ordered a pablano pepper with cheese and she let me have a bite. This was the most awful thing ever. The pepper was falling apart because of how soggy it was. If not for the decent enchilada and margarita, this would have been a 1 star visit. read more

Avoid this place like the plague. Most insulting service I have ever experienced. After waiting about 25 minutes for a to go order, the guy checks and finds its been sitting at the kitchen. It has been there for a while and I asked if they were going to remake it since it was ice cold. Asks me if I want it, then tosses it behind the counter and walks away and completely ignores me. Woman comes out and says it's fine and hit despite the box being cold. I have never left a bad review and give restaurants the benefit of the doubt. Don't care it took so long but to a) try to pass off cold food and b) walk away when I am trying to calmly get the issue resolved is not okay. Avoid this place. read more

10/10 must try again. The service was amazing and the owner was super nice! The food is super authentic and you can tell based off the taste and looks of the food!!! The music isn't loud so you can still have conversations without having to be loud. You must get Beria Tacos. They are not on the menu but if you ask for them they will get them for you. It is a taco with cheese and chicken (or beef if wanted) that is put in the fryer (chicken or cheese doesn't get fried) to get a nice crunch on the tortilla. I just heard about this place earlier this week and knew I needed to come and try it out. The employees are very nice and come around often to check up on you. If you have not tried Taco Mexico you are missing out. The absolute best Spicy Chicken soup ever!!! The fajita's are so good. Never swimming in grease like other places. And the prices! Wow. A great value. Just wish they had one in Alabama. We only get to eat here about once a year. read more

I really like the salsa bar. Nice semi-authentic dishes with good flavor. The prices are great too. Check it out for lunch. You can get out of here for less than eight bucks with tip if you order correctly. Second time in and it seems the quality has gone down a notch. If you love super spicy go here. You will love this place. Even their mild salsa is so spicy that it hurt to eat it. Our food was also medium hot at at the mildest. Service was good but I wish they had just left me a pitcher of water on the table. I needed it. Honestly the food was not bad. The prices were cheap. The service was decent. It was just not the place for me because of the heat in the food. If you always wanted to experience a burning bleeding ulcer in your stomach then please go here.
