Ate there at lunch based on the reviews. Was greeted and promptly seated, and free chips and salsa came out quickly. Ordered the deep fried tacos (hard to find east of Texas and New Mexico) and they looked great. Unfortunately the beef was bland and they were drowning in sour cream, way too much. Will probably give the food another chance when in the area, maybe it was just an off day. read more

We came here about 30 minutes before closing and there was a regular at the bar, which is right next to the cash register. Otherwise, the staff was getting ready for closing. We placed a to-go order and they were happy to receive it. We ordered the birria taco special they had on their chalkboard when you walked in as it wasn't on the normal menu. The staff was very friendly and the bathrooms nice and clean as we used them while we waited. The food came out quickly all bagged up and contained three tacos and the consomme. We ate the tacos in the car and they were really good. They were nice and crispy and the sauce it came with was really good. I'm glad I found this nearby location on Yelp. read more

Ordered takeout from here and didn't know what to expect for my first time. I got the veggie taco salad and was pleasantly surprised. It was very filling and had good portion sizes of all the vegetables. There were fajita veggies that were cooked and seasoned beautifully. Everything was flavorful and delicious and I would definitely order this again. Good option for vegetarians! read more

Elite. Quesa Birria tacos outstanding. My son gets the papas con queso w/ steak. Amazing. Waiting for the salsa bar tho would crush again read more

Zero stars. To preface, I looked at the menu online before I went. Before I ordered, I asked if the tamales were already ready and they said yes.... I ordered them and paid and after I paid they said it would be a 10 minute wait... after waiting 25 minutes, I got my food and left. Once I tried them, it was a bed of masa with meat on top, but the kicker is that there no flavor in them at all. Not even salt... if you want tamales, don't get them from here. read more

The food is always fantastic and so is the service! We love this family owned restaurant!

This has been our go to favorite for many years. Always friendly, consistent and Delicious. And now they have quesabirria! Whaaat? I never have to go anywhere else again.IYKYK, but If you Don't know:... Quesabirria is a Mexican dish comprising birria-style cooked beef folded into a tortilla with melted cheese and served with a side of consommé for dipping. "a cross between a taco and a quesadilla." It's the Mexican version of a French Dip, but SO MUCH BETTER! read more

We have lived here in Cumming for almost 5 years now and only heard of Taco Mexico last week so we decided to try. Big menu selection, my husband ordered the carne asada and I ordered the chicken chimichanga. Both were delicious plus we ordered a pitcher of margaritas which was fantastic. Only disappointment was that they advertised a salsa bar which was not there but it may have also been advertised before covid but we did ask for different salsas which they happily brought out to us!!. We will definitely go back and next time remember to take pictures of our meals!!‍‍ read more

If you want real authentic Mexican food this is the place! I moved to Georgia 3 years ago from Southern California and have been searching everywhere to find half way decent Mexican food. This place didn't disappoint. The owner waited on us, she was so friendly and made recommendations. I got the birria tacos , which were amazing, and my boyfriend got the la Mexicans torta and he loved it! This spot is a million times better than Los Rios, which I think is some of the worst Mexican food I've ever had, and is just right down the street from there. I definitely will be going back and recommend this place for REAL AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD! read more

The birria tacos are to die for! We've done pick-up & delivery from here often & have loved everything we've tried from here.

Excellent moderately priced food. Should be on your go-to list of places to eat. I regularly eat the lunch steak fajita.

Stopped in on a whim for a snack and a beer. I ordered one taco ... Al Pastor, and now I'm in love. Oh my this place is really really good. Food truck good! read more

I tend to leave reviews on exceptionally great or exceptionally terrible experiences...and this was awful! The ppl running this place have no business running a restaurant. Poor customer service, dirty-ish looking place. The lady serving us kept giving us unpleasant looks, and trust me I've been to many mexican restaurants in my life, this one by far has been the worse. I ordered the lunch chicken fajitas, the portions were mediocre and tasteless. First time there and don't plan to return. read more

I've had some really good Mexican food in my life. This place is complete opposite of that. My wife, kids, and I came in on a Saturday night around 6:30. The parking lot is pretty small but we were still able to find parking pretty easily. The place was pretty busy when we walked in but we were seated in a booth immediately. Before we ordered drinks, one of the servers brought us a basket of chips and salsa. This was a great start I thought. After some thought, we ordered some margaritas to wet the palate. Some advice, try to know what you want when the server comes to take your order because if don't, it make take a while for them to come back. After ordering, the food comes out pretty quickly. I ordered the #4 combo that comes with 2 tacos, an enchilada, and chili con queso. The chicken enchilada was the highlight. The tacos were mediocre. The chili con queso was a flat taco shell was queso on it. Seriously? My wife ordered a pablano pepper with cheese and she let me have a bite. This was the most awful thing ever. The pepper was falling apart because of how soggy it was. If not for the decent enchilada and margarita, this would have been a 1 star visit. read more

I love this place. It's cheap, the food is good, the beer is cold. What more could you need? Real deal Mexican food right in cumming. Tacos de tripa (cow intestine), tacos de lengua (cow tongue), and tacos de cabeza (cheek meat) are all here. read more

We love taco Mexico! I'm from so cal and haven't been able to find authentic Mexican food like back home until we came here. Everything is top notch, super fresh, reasonably priced and authentic. My family and I are now regulars! read more

Nice staff and good food with a great selection of homemade salsas. Portions are perfectly sized and the price is very reasonable.

Avoid this place like the plague. Most insulting service I have ever experienced. After waiting about 25 minutes for a to go order, the guy checks and finds its been sitting at the kitchen. It has been there for a while and I asked if they were going to remake it since it was ice cold. Asks me if I want it, then tosses it behind the counter and walks away and completely ignores me. Woman comes out and says it's fine and hit despite the box being cold. I have never left a bad review and give restaurants the benefit of the doubt. Don't care it took so long but to a) try to pass off cold food and b) walk away when I am trying to calmly get the issue resolved is not okay. Avoid this place. read more

If you have not tried Taco Mexico you are missing out. The absolute best Spicy Chicken soup ever!!! The fajita's are so good. Never swimming in grease like other places. And the prices! Wow. A great value. Just wish they had one in Alabama. We only get to eat here about once a year. read more

I went here based on the glowing yelp reviews and left very disappointed. The cheese dip was watery, the beef had a weird burnt flavor, and I spent the rest of the evening on the throne. Not saying that it gave me food poisoning, but my stomach definitely did not agree with my choice of dinner. The wife liked her Chimichanga though, so that is a saving grace. If the wife is happy, I am happy... even though my stomach wasn't. read more

10/10 must try again. The service was amazing and the owner was super nice! The food is super authentic and you can tell based off the taste and looks of the food!!! The music isn't loud so you can still have conversations without having to be loud. You must get Beria Tacos. They are not on the menu but if you ask for them they will get them for you. It is a taco with cheese and chicken (or beef if wanted) that is put in the fryer (chicken or cheese doesn't get fried) to get a nice crunch on the tortilla. I just heard about this place earlier this week and knew I needed to come and try it out. The employees are very nice and come around often to check up on you. The food is really good. In the environment. Awesome I will come here every single day.

I really like the salsa bar. Nice semi-authentic dishes with good flavor. The prices are great too. Check it out for lunch. You can get out of here for less than eight bucks with tip if you order correctly. Second time in and it seems the quality has gone down a notch. Still fairly tasty but the salsa bar has suffered and the beans were no where near as good as they used to be. Maybe just an off day but still a bargain. read more

ever since i discovered this place me and my boyfriend have been addicted. we come here often especially for the birria tacos.

Ok this is from there other location but it still applies. This is the place for the best REAL south of the border experience. WOW.. you know when you stumble upon someplace amazing and you can't believe nobody knows about it. You want to scream from the rooftop and share your culinary diamond in the rough. This is one of the once every blue moon places that gets my heart racing. I have found it true, that if a particular ethnicity is swarming the place, that is where you should get that type of food. Sure I have been deep into Mexico on many occasion and have eaten some incredible food I have never been able to duplicate. Regional dishes of foods we just don't have here. This is the first place in a long time I have eaten that had multiple items I have never tried. All but one I would order again. Nobody has mentioned it is all made from scratch. I mean the tortillas are made in a press and thrown on the grill to order. The carnitas are carved off the rotisserie and into the delicate tortillas. They have all the common man delicacies our friends from the southern border crave. The chicken in mole was all I had hoped for. The Torta's (sandwiches) are huge and filling. I have had all the taco and burrito combination's and none disappoint. The homemade Horchata is sweet and silky. But the star of the show is the salsa bar. it may not look like much more than Moes but oh dear me it contains the most amazing flavors. I have had most of these salsa's elsewhere, but these are special. The thick and fiery green sauce hinted with avocado and garlic I can eat plain with a spoon. I am blessed to work with in walking distance and on many late nights ordered just tortillas to lather in this sublime concoction. The best news is its cheap and opened late. This is not going to appeal to everyone. If you like the texmex combo plates of the regional chains this may be to off your radar to enjoy. But if you love, as I do, authentic exciting flavors that make your sole happy ,then you have found Mexican food nirvana. read more
