I placed an order via Uber Eats as I had a craving for Mexican food. I ordered a chicken taco, steak taco and side of rice/beans. The tacos were ordered Mexican style (cilantro and onions). When I opened the to go box, I was immediately disappointed by what I saw, however, I decided to give the benefit of the doubt and hoped everything would taste great. The taste matched the appearance. The chicken was flavorless, cold and chewy. The steak tasted much better. The tacos were doused in long strips of red onion and heaps of cilantro (out of all the Mexican style tacos I have ordered in my life I have never had long strips of red onion). I added the salsa verde to the tacos which provided additional flavor. The lime wedges provided appeared dry and produced little to no juice when squeezed. The rice was totally bland and had chunks of hard burnt rice throughout. The beans were difficult to eat as they had also been doused in cilantro and red onions. I truly wish this was more of an authentic Mexican food experience. Paul Richards will not be back. read more

This restaurant has truly went way down in service. It's not the same it once was. Wait staff is S-L-O-W, the quality of food has went down, and they have dropped many of their traditional dishes, including Pork Tamales. There are better options for Mexican food in the area. read more

If you're looking for authentic Mexican food, this is the WRONG place to go. The food is not served fresh and the business is rather stingy with their portions. (E.g, I ordered a Torta de asada during my visit today and it consisted of 4 lousy pieces of meat covered with discolored lettuce that had gone bad and even had a rotten smell to it. This place is sooo great! The food is delicious, the prices are so reasonable! You get so much food for your buck and the service is wonderful. I have small children, I had to order and pick up and it was pouring outside! This is our favorite Mexican place in the area. I always get tacos, and I've never had a bad experience with them. My favorite is the steak tacos. The beans and rice are also great. & I love the avocado salsa on the weekends! The lime margaritas are just okay. I wish they were a bit fresher tasting. Maybe a little less mix to alcohol ratio as well, as they are a bit to sweet and syrupy tasting for my liking. I enjoyed the strawberry one a bit more since it seemed a bit more fresh tasting with the fresh fruit. All in all we will continue to come back! read more

I had a pick up order for some basic tacos and was underwhelmed and surprised at the prices for a taco. I did not try the fancier tacos. With so many taco places in our area I have other places that are much better. It's been a bit more Americanized for my PR taste buds. After looking around for a nice spot for a quick lunch I then found this cute, clean and warm fast food. The staff in here is so nice who happily greeted me when I came in and ask for my order. The staff is so friendly and definitely one of the best staff that I encountered so far. They have a wide selection of different Mexican foods in their menu and the prices are honestly fair and reasonable. The menu is so wide and has a lot of options that I felt I wanted to order because every Mexican food that are available on a fast food is there. The staff is patient while waiting for my order and I am glad that there is no one next to me because I take too much time in the counter. I then ordered something and got seated. The food came really quick and it has a nice portion and a bit unexpected to its price. After deciding too long on their counter I just ordered steak tacos because I said to myself that it is my first time and I should just try something and finally, their tacos are delicious. The meat is not dry and it is actually tender and juicy too. The flavor is all in there and it is also freshly cooked. I had such a good time in here. Taco Madre gives me life. I originally had four stars, but with how often I eat here (and crave it), it deserves nothing but 5 stars. The grilled steak taco, mexican style on corn is still my favorite taco. Easily one of my favorite foods ever. I still love their mahi-mahi taco that is fried with a slice of avocado (I recommend some green sauce on that one). Finger-licking good. I've tried their steak burrito and I WISH it was as accessible as a chipotle. I'd eat it every. single. day. It comes stuffed with cheese and lettuce, refried beans, and it's heavy. And it's such a great deal. Just like my last review, I love their non-alcoholic piña coladas, horchata, and complimentary chips and salsa.
