Hello! I haven't been here in some time. I now prefer to go elsewhere or cook at home. I agree with many reviews from the last time I went there. It appeared super dirty. The cook's aprons always look disgusting dirty. The floors, walls and stove are full of grease. The food is super super greasy! Your paper bag will be full of grease at the bottom, so be careful with your clothes or where you set the bag. Food portions are huge. A lot of meat and cheese. It is expensive to only receive food that may cause you to be in the bathroom. The service can definitely improve. They can do a better job at greeting guests and making sure the customers order is correct. I would go here as a last resort. Choose wisely what you put into your body. read more

I have been going to Taqueria Durango for years and the food is always good and the salsa on the taco is I was there with my son and we're in a hurry jumped up paid the bill. I actually paid the bill. Then I jumped up to go, and I don't know the wallet fell out of my pocket or I left it there, but after I drove all the way to The I realize it just as I was getting home and I immediately turned the car around, went back and they had my wallet. Went with some friends around 630pm. I didn't know what to expect my friend swears by this place. I'll have to say the tacos were good. Now the steak tacos were decent nothing special and that's usually my go to taco meat. But even before we went my friend talked about the Al Pastor. This is a cozy and brightly decorated little place with an extensive menu and delicious food. I ordered the vegetarian torta which came with avocado, rice, lettuce, cheese and some other vegetables. It was delicious. As for seating - the space is small so the tables are close in proximity. You go in and sit down (you choose). This spot was called Raymond's a few years ago when I was visiting. I was back.in town and went in to try it out again. The staff was nice and friendly. The portion sizes are HUGE. I ordered the Supreme or something carnesada fries. It had advocado, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream. I also ordered a carnesada taco that was huge. They do not skimp on the meat. Went to try this place for the first time. My order was 1 pork burritos. Regular nachos with jalapeño&cheese and couple of tacos. Received my order and drove home to notice I had no burrito and there was beans in the nachos. I called them and told them the mix up and was told to drive back. I drove back and had to re explain the situation and the cook started stating "I made those" . Felt I was lying for free food? I then responded "I didn't get them in my bag" then he asked "where did it go" he then started making me the burrito again with attitude. I mention the nachos and since I didn't say (no beans) it's my fault even though I stated what I wanted on the nachos during my order. Long story short, I paid for new nachos because I felt so awkward about them making me another burrito. When I got my food the young guy threw the nachos down and said "merry Christmas" ... I paid for my food fully and in this case twice to be made incorrectly because you still forgot the jalapeño. My burrito was covered in oil, seem intentionally. Super petty, disrespectful, and disgusting. There is 100 taco places in aurora and this isn't 1. Enjoy the free money for the inedible food. We ended up throwing away everything. Heard about this place from one of my fellow poker players. The map is wrong as its on the corner of La Salle & Benton. A neighborhood corner type of location. Inside had that old divey diner look going for them and could benefit from a little remodeling. Very crowded when I went in as it look about 10 minutes to get their attention. It was cool that you got to see the guy cook your food in front of you if you get a counter seat. They also had a spit broiler for the al pastor meat. The sign outside read "Best burritos in town," so I got an al pastor burrito $6.40, a steak, chicken, and pork taco $2.10 each, and a large Jamaica. Service was good, despite the crowds. The tacos were pure grease bombs! Good, but so-so greasy. And the included hot sauce had a good amount of pepper seeds which will make you lock your lips on a faucet. Management is friendly, but "You" have to capture their attention to place an order! THE LATE NIGHT CROWD is the money maker here.
