    "Tacos Dorados?"
    Neychild M.

I ordered tacos dorados and was presented with Taco Bell shells. I am posting this pic here so everyone knows what they look like ,there were no pictures of the tacos dorados on the menu. Had there have been I would have not ordered them.

My coworker has been raving about this place and kidnapped me after work to come. Ordered Al Pastor Tacos, steak Tacos cheesy Fries and Orchata. Service was great and Al Pastor Tacos were deliciously tasty and in my opinion the way to go. Steak tacos were just ok. I'd definitely come back. Woohoo we have pictures this Ryker Thank you for reading my review

Amazing food! Best Al Pastor I have had. Definitely try the green sauce and pickled peppers too. Small comfy restaurant with good food. The customer service was great- especially for how busy they were. I loved seeing all the food being made fresh right in front of us. This is definitely a hidden gem!!!

We had the taco dinner (al pastor) that came with rice and beans, and it was amazing food! Great atmosphere, plenty busy, but not so busy that service was impacted. Went for Friday dinner. We'll be back!

Went with some friends around 630pm. I didn't know what to expect my friend swears by this place. I'll have to say the tacos were good. Now the steak tacos were decent nothing special and that's usually my go to taco meat. But even before we went my friend talked about the Al Pastor. Now here's the thing I'm not really an Al Pastor fan. Or at least I though. The Al Pastor was really good. As I looked around the crowded restaurant everybody has the Al Pastor. What's my point get? Get the Al Pastor lol. The Nacho Supreme was solid to. A bit much cilantro but still tasty. If I'm in the area again and I want tacos I'd go again.

Really good authentic Mexican food! Impressed with the portions and quality of food and flavor. I'm a sucker for good horchata, Will be coming back.

This spot was called Raymond's a few years ago when I was visiting. I was back.in town and went in to try it out again. The staff was nice and friendly. The portion sizes are HUGE. I ordered the Supreme or something carnesada fries. It had advocado, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream. I also ordered a carnesada taco that was huge. They do not skimp on the meat. My family members also order Tacos and the carnesada bean burrito. It was so big my boyfriend couldn't even eat it all. Definitely coming back the next time I'm in town.

The $2.40 tacos here were ok. The tongue taco I tried didn't taste that good and was crunchy. The $3 pizza puff was good and for a good price. The quesadilla was pretty delicious. Burritos $7.50-$8.50 Tortas $6 Tostada $3.75 Chicken quesadilla $4.50 They also have burgers, sandwiches, wings and hot dogs. The taco price is on the higher end compared to other places in the area. The orchata was on the sweet side. One advantage they have here is that they are open late. If it's not late night, I would go to Cemitas Poblanas for my tacos. ....| \ _ , , , - - , , _ , .../ , ` . - ' ` ' . _ \ - ; ; ; , _ ..| , a - ) ) _ . ; . Have been having their tacos for years but today their food is disgusting. I ordered tacos de asada and de pastor and it was trash. The meat tasted old and was chewy, will never go back to that place. Save your money and find a local taco truck I'm sure they will taste better.

Calling all the Gringos . I gave this place five stars and it's Randy's top five Mexican restaurants . With Mexican restaurants on every corner, like Walgreens and gas stations only the strong will survive. It's not a candle lit dinner on "date night ." If you can get over a waitress with a little bit of a language barrier, just point. Hard working people who go to work everyday, trying to make it in this world . This is what I live for . A generous portion of food that has flavor for a reasonable price . Steak that is marinated. A burrito the size of your head, loaded with meat not lettuce . Pork that is on the spit . Homemade salsa that the jalapeño peppers get stuck in the top of the squeeze bottle it comes out of . Homemade beans . That's all I've got for ya , till next time !

La Sierra was approximately a 35-minute drive from our home in the western suburbs. We arrived at approximately 8:30 AM. As we drove up my wingman John commented that he would not have come into this neighborhood or restaurant if I was not with him. Yes, the neighborhood was a bit rough (I grew up in Pilsen in the 1960's) but to me it felt like home in Chicago. We walked in and were warmly greeted by the hostess and waitress and told to sit-down anywhere we wanted. We chose a booth in the second room of the restaurant; the walls were covered with photos of Mexico and the smell coming from the kitchen was heaven. Our waitress quickly approached us for our drink order, she mentioned that they had Cafe de la Olla (made with piloncillo-unrefined whole cane sugar from Latin America, and cinnamon sticks) which we both ordered. The coffee arrived in a colorful Mexican traditional mug (just the way my mother used to make me). It was delicious! We then ordered our breakfast, which was Mexican Chilaquiles (a traditional, comforting breakfast dish consisting of crispy tortilla chips simmered in red or green salsa until slightly softened) with eggs, meat & refired beans. We were both in "Heaven", the tortilla chips were perfectly cooked with just enough "Crisp" to them. Just the way my mother used to make me on a weekend morning. My wingman & I both agreed that we will be returning and bringing our fellow foodies with us to try the other dishes offered!

There was a line when we got there (around noon) which I feel is usually a sign of tasty food. The tortilla chips were so yummy with a flavorful seasoning and delicious salsa. The parking looks awful until you spy the public lot just one storefront away. The interior is simple, which I prefer. Some cute knickknacks but not too much. The menu is the traditional Mexican fare, tacos, burritos, fajitas, plates, etc. Everyone should be able to find something to please them. The waitress was so sweet and helpful. They were doing a lot of take out orders and had my party and another couple dining in. She did great making sure we all had what we needed. We all started talking to one another so felt like dinner with a bunch of friends. My friends had the steak tacos and the Americano plate. Both really liked their items. The tacos were well filled and the meat tender and juicy. The plate had lots of steak on it as well as rice, beans, tortillas, etc. The sauce was a tad spicy but not overpowering for my non-spice liking friend. The star of the night was the Crazy Burrito. Massive burrito filled with shrimp, steak, fries, rice, guac and more. And when I say massive, I mean MASSIVE. Everything inside somehow all went together incredibly well. But each bite was different depending on what the ratio of the items was. Probably 1 of the top 3 burritos I've ever had. The steak, meat and shrimp were all perfectly cooked. Will definitely go back next time in Chicago.

The restaurant was clean, quiet, the bathrooms were clean, the cashier so sweet and patient--I couldn't ask for more! We ordered a asada burrito dinner, a chorizo burrito, and a large horchata to split. We were given a basket of chips and a delicious salsa that had flavor, but wasn't too spicy! The burritos were generously filled and had avocado! That's not something I see everywhere. The beans were a great consistency, the rice was soft and flavorful, and the horchata was top notch! It had a unique flavor, too, and wasn't watery. The cup also wasn't overfilled with ice! While we were patiently waiting for the burritos, we fell victim to the slideshow and decided we just had to try a gordita lol. It was SO good, but the portions were so filling we had to take the rest of the gordita and part of a burrito with. The tomatillo sauce was perfect and the red sauce had quite a kick to it, but not enough that it was painful. The food didn't NEED any extra sauce, but I like to try them, anyways! I wished I lived in this area so I could eat more gorditas, but I will definitely stop here again if I am around! If you're lucky enough to live in the area, please do support this sweet business!
