Came here for NBA finals. Was packed and a mixed crowd. We always order wings and Nacho. It's always good but this time they started charging us for extra hot peppers or sour cream for the nacho. Which was odd because out of all the times I been here they didn't charge me before. Either way we all have to make money right? Maybe it was because the server was having a bad day. The wings are a little bigger and meatier then i would like but it's still good. The fries are usually warm to hot but this time it was a bit cold but it's nothing that you couldn't live w/o. Pretty good food, GREAT beer selection, quick waiters. Slooooowww with the food. We waited like 40 minutes to get even the appetizer for some reason which came out the same time as our meal, and the couple with us waited even longer. If they did this at lunch we would have been late getting back to work. Took a couple friends here who were from out of the country. We ordered 3 separate orders and 40 minutes later one part of the meal came out. The waitress apologized and told us that they got the first two orders wrong so they were fixing it. About 5-10 minutes later the rest of the food came out. So me and my mate dropped by for a quick dinner we should have just went next door to Chicfila. My mate asked if the fish tacos could be made without the onions, the server says yes. Two tries later she brought out three shrimp in each tortilla with the cheese in a ramican and was like here you go. She said almost everything has uncooked onions in it. Talk about a huge upset. Ordered food for delivery and got a call an hour and 30 minutes later that it would be another 30 minute wait. I called the store back and they told me the food was cooked 20 minutes after we placed the order so even if we waited for the food it would have sat for an hour and 30 minutes. Talked to the manager and he didn't even offer any credit or even an apology. What a joke I will never eat at this place again! Avoid this place at all cost. There is not much point in reviewing the food. It's Taco Mac; you should know what you're getting. I will, however, review this particular location. It's a shame that this is the closest location to where I live, because the service here is terrible. In fact, I visited a few weeks ago, and an older couple walked out as I was walking in and complained to the hostess that no server ever came to their table after they were seated! I haven't had an experience that bad, but there have been a couple of times when I came close to walking out because it took so long for a waiter to come by. Also, I had one visit where I went to the bathroom before my food came out and they cleared off my table! Is it really that hard to tell that someone is still there? To be fair this has happened to me at other restaurants, too, but it's still worth mentioning when you consider that they seem to be inept at coming to your table when there actually is someone sitting there waiting to order! I don't want to knock Taco Mac, because the other ones that I have been to usually do a better job than this one. Avoid this location if you can. read more

Placed our order to go, when we arrived they asked for us to check our bag. It was at that point I laughed at the minuscule amount of chips we were given. I asked if we could get more, to which the response was "do you feel skimped"....duh. We ordered wings and clearly said we would like both ranch and blue cheese. I used to frequent this location often, but the service has taken a nose dive, the food has been dismal and I can't say I have had a pleasant experience the past several trips. Tonight was a to-go order. I got the to-go order of the chicken nachos. When I got home and opened my bag, I found out that I had not received: the source cream, the fresh guacamole, the jalapenos, black beans or pico de gallo (as described on the menu). It is too late to go back, nor should I have to return for an apparent negligence by the staff. So much for trying to give this restaurant another shot. Taco Mac used to be my "go to" spot for wings for years. But then the wings started getting way too big, like mini drum legs., and no matter how many times I'd ask for them extra crispy, they'd rarely do it. They went from my #1 place to never go again. So much beer! This is one of the larger, and nicer, Taco Macs I've been to. Most don't have nearly the about beer this one does. This Taco Mac location is okay, and I've been five or so times, but as another reviewer stated, it is very hit or miss. When compared to the Sandy Springs location in the Prado shopping center, this location is slow, and the atmosphere isn't as nice. Tonight, we were seated right away, but the waiter rushed over in a sort of frenzy apologizing for the wait. I had been enjoying a conversation with my partner, so I didn't really notice a long wait or anything, but I can only assume he was awfully busy since he did this several times throughout the experience. After taking our drink order, he asked if we wanted more time for ordering the food. Disappeared way too long. Came back, and food took fifteen to twenty minutes to arrive. Then, at only one point in the meal, he arrived to ask us how we were doing and if I wanted a refill or anything. He left to bring the check, I paid with cash expecting change to then tip with, I sat it back down, and went back to conversing. He came and silently picked it up, and off he went...NEVER to be found again. For fifteen minutes we waited...eventually we got up to leave wondering if he thought we were really tipping him that much (he never bothered to ask about change). Now, again, I've been here several times, and this hasn't happened before. I'm just saying that the experience here is very subpar compared to the amazing one in the Prado! We didn't lose out on too much money, but I have to be honest, with how slow the service is and how hit or miss the entire experience can be, this is the location I only go to if someone else is requesting it now. read more

Different Taco Mac. Same Nuclear Wings. A group of guys from our church got together here after it turned out that the Three Dollar Cafe down the street went down the Great Disposall. As I've said on my review of another TM location, the ONLY reason I will go to one of these is Nuclear Wings. No, I'm not dead from the neck up. I really like these things! Placed an online order so I didn't have to wait but upon arrival no one was at the front after standing there a couple mins I made my way to the bar. I advised I had an online order, the bartender goes to kitchen then comes back and says "they just got the order" so it's going to be 5 mins. At this point I'm annoyed because the place is practical empty except 4 booths and I placed the order 30 mins prior to coming in. There should be no reason why my order isn't ready. Plus my bill was ready for me to sign so they had to be aware of the order. I doubt I'll be coming back here anytime soon. read more

Starving, and wanted a cocktail so we dropped here for lunch. Had a really good pineapple martini to start. Service was truly terrific, so ask for Jeff if you go. He really went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. We got the spinach artichoke dip to nosh on. It came with chips and pita. It was just okay. Pretty creamy, but just not particularly memorable. Decided on fish tacos for the main dish. It came with black beans, rice, and salsa. I asked for a side of fire chili sauce, but the flavor didn't agree with me. Can't pinpoint exactly what I didn't like, but I didn't love it. The tacos again were just okay, but I was hungry. They give you plenty of food. Ambiance is a sports bar scene, and if you drink beer, they have over 100 different ones to choose from. There was some import for $13 a glass! No thank you..I'll stick with wine or a martini for that price. There are a slew of televisions around the establishment with plenty of different sports on for entertainment. Large bar with tons of beer on tap. Wooden booths, so sitting for long periods isn't desirable. All in all, I'd come back, and again. The boys wanted to come here because of the basketball game in the back room and not because of the food! Great! So I took them and the food and service was worse than ever!! The waitress was pleasant enough until the cold food arrived. My grilled shrimp was cold and not freshly grilled. I asked the boys if their fries were hot and they said no. Even worse the 11 year old asked for BBQ wings and got HOT Wings. We told someone and they said they would get it taken care of. What happened was shocking! Our waitress came out and stated the order was correct, the child was mistaken and if she brings out another order it will be the exact same thing! She proceeded to reprimand the child in front of me. I calmly asked for the manager. A fat man with an attitude arrived claiming he was the manager and started with the servers BS routine. I proceeded to reprimand into reality where he shut up, apologized and had the correct meal prepared. He obviously spoke to our server who then ignored us until I flagged her down for the check. The boys went back to play basketball and the waitress apologized to me for her bad temper. She said that she sometimes cannot control it!! I gave her some life advice and she then became friendly, concerned and apologetic. This chain has fallen apart and the food and service is worse than Krystel's or McDonald's. This Taco Mac is about a mile from where I work, so it's a great place to stop in for food, or, more likely, a drink to round out the week. My experience tends to more frequently call to the latter, so I have to say that there are few better ways to close out Friday afternoon than with chips and salsa, some hot wings, and a selection from the substantial beer menu. The food is reasonably priced and the service is prompt and friendly. The outdoor seating is great in the spring and summer and I've never had to wait for a table, inside or out. Overall: good food, great drink selection, and fun atmosphere. Definitely a great place for good times. read more

I can only speak on their to go services, but ordered a burger and a side wedge salad and was very happy with the food. Burger was cooked perfectly, not over cooked and not raw in the middle. Wedge salad was great also, their house made ranch is the bomb! Only complaint is that the French fries were cold. It's an all American eatery: for the restarant's history you'll have to see the menu :-) I have never had a bad meal here and they are reasonably priced. This was my first time at this location, we had a large group of 20+ and had made reservation weeks in advance and pre ordered appetizer so out group wouldn't have to wait forever for food. Went here on Saturday with some friends. I think Taco Mac has a great atmosphere, very open and comfy restaurant with lots o beer to choose from, HOWEVER, the service is slow as HELL. We must have waited 35- 40 min to get our food. The cheese on my burger was already melted and hard and the sweet potato fries were pretty close to cold. Now this is ridiculous seeing as they weren't that busy. Justin was our server and he was nice enough but wasn't in a hurry to get anywhere. Don't get me wrong, the burger and the fries were good but I am sure they would have been great served hot like anyone expects it to be. C'mon Taco Mac, get it together. Do NOT try to order takeout from here! They quote a 20 minute wait when you place your order. Then when you arrive 20 minutes later you hear, "I'm sorry, we're really busy", "it'll be just a couple of minutes ". 10 minutes later, still no food. Another 10 minutes, still no food. Another round of sorry, busy, lots of orders, yada yada, but they should be packing it up. ANOTHER 10 minutes and I ask if they have even started on the order and I'm told no. . I ask for the manager, to either refund me or give me my food now. After being told, "he'll be right out", another girl come and shows my a print out where she refunded my payment. I was there long enough to over hear this conversation... "that was another call about a takeout order being wrong or missing something. That makes 11 today"!!! Really?!? Who can manage a business this poorly? And, I never saw the manager. By the way, the food is mediocre at best. read more

Taco Mac never fails to satisfy my hunger! For some reason, I ALWAYS think it won't fill me up, but surely enough, I'm full by the end of the meal. Taco Mac will always be a place where I can come to with a group of friends and enjoy a meal together while watching some games on their million HDTVs so conveniently placed all over. You seriously won't miss a thing even going down to take a bite. The booths are big and gives you a sense of privacy and can easily sit 6 people. They also have been able to handle large groups as well in the past so props to them! This place can get LOUD. We went here during a Falcons playoff game against Green Bay, =(, and the place just erupted and boomed. It's a sports bar so they made the place with acoustics in mind it seems--it's a great place to cheer for your local teams. The place is also quite spacious which is a plus for me. As for the food. It never fails to disappoint. Their burgers although not the most memorable, are always well prepared and satisfying. The wings are huge! A single pack (10 wings) with fries always leave me content and sleepy. The wings are usually a bit dry, but are fried just right so it's nice and crunchy. They are usually sauced unevenly as well which I wish they would add more sauce, but you have to pay extra for that. The sauces that makes Taco Mac stand out in their wings would be their Habanero BBQ and Three Mile Island. Their Death sauce slowly creeps all over your mouth but fails to deal the critical blow. You'll find yourself laughing at death wing after wing; I love spicy foods so this might be unfair, but those who don't deal well with spicy foods I would recommend against this. As for the rest of their sauces they're merely ok, though Hot seems to be a favorite among friends, Their Nachos All The Way is a spectacle to behold. You'll catch yourself staring in awe for a few seconds wondering how to attack it. Make sure you have a buddy with you. Together with my girlfriend we took on this behemoth together, but I think I ended up eating 3/4 of it. The first thing that comes to mind when I think of their Spinach and Artichoke Dip is "unhealthy." Their dip honestly leaves you feeling a little icky. The first few bites will be enjoyable, but you might end up forcing yourself to eat the remainders. But, if you find yourself craving some spinach and artichoke like I do many times it won't hurt ordering it.. well, maybe your toilet. Oh gosh, I almost forgot their fries. I LOVE their fries. It has that distinct flavor that I look for in my fries and the fried batter is fried to a perfect light crunch. They're so good in fact that I prefer not to use ketchup while eating them. They go really well with the blue cheese or ranch dip that comes with your wings. It's been a while since I tried their fish taco, but if I remember correctly it was just ok. If I had to rate it I'd give it 3/5 stars. I do remember it having a bit of a kick which I always appreciate in my fish tacos. Oddly enough, this is the only taco I've tried from Taco Mac, but I think it's safe to say judging from others' reactions to their tacos that their tacos are merely on par. Despite the franchise being called Taco Mac, don't bet on getting the best tacos ever. Instead come for the great social environment they offer, great service and good food. This particular Taco Mac is located in the suburbs of Atlanta where the demographics mostly consist of families. So families will appreciate the spacious seating, friendly staff, friendly fun environment, and good food. As for the rest, it's still a great place to enjoy a meal with friends and loved ones.
