I decided to follow the exact same footsteps as they did in the Episode that Lampasas, TX was featured. I found myself at this charming, beautiful family owned restaurant. What an amazing find. The restaurant has a beautiful outdoor area that reminds you of the outdoor areas of resorts in Mexico. The food is fresh, light, great value and absolutely Delicious! The service from the time I walked in to the time I left was top notch. Everyone was very friendly and I love how when a local came in, they were welcomed as family and if you were new to their establishment, they took the time to greet, welcome you, talk about their menu and gave you suggestions. I had a Mango Winerita (they can only serve beer and wine since they're close to a school and a church) which was super refreshing. The usual chips and salsa came to the table. The salsa had a nice flavor and just the right amount of heat... That your taste buds response to but than the heat goes away. The Queso was liquid gold... Smooth and cheesy... Perfect consistency that coats your chips but doesn't drip all over the place. I was treated to a different salsa that isn't normally brought to the table unless you asked for it. Woww!!
