It was absolutely delicious, very rare for a restaurant to have all the right qualities perfectly in place, you can tell they love what they do, the wife absolutely loved the The Harris, deli sliced turkey, Vermont cheddar, mayo, spicy mustard, drizzled with raspberry chipotle sauce with spinach on a brioche bread, this will be a place to head to 1:30 hours away but definitely worth the trip. Thank you Joe and Marie Smith for the experience of a delicious lunch.

The sandwhich was honestly just okay. I enjoyed the fillings of the sandwich (especially the grilled onions and meats) but the bread wasn't toasted well so it was just a soft sandwich instead of that initial crisp/crunchy bite that I was looking forward to. Also, the Gouda cheese wasn't really melted either so I was a little disappointed by that. I enjoyed the fruit that came on the side but overall, I can't say this was worth $14. Aside from that, the interior of this place was nice and I love how the restaurant is connected with Urban Roots! The service was fast and friendly and I hope to come back and give this place another chance!

DELICIOUS! I actually heard about this place from a Reddit post about places to stop on a road trip…read moreacross Texas and I'm so glad I listened! It's home cooked food, calories-not-monitored, but worth every single bite. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but I knew it was going to be good when we saw the parking lot was overflowing into the grass. Luckily there was still an open table inside and we were welcomed by the sweetest staff and our waitress was just as wonderful. So many things looked good on the menu, but I couldn't resist ending this road trip with another taste of chicken fried steak to compare to Mary's (and they can definitely compete because it was AWESOME)! We also tried the chicken fried chicken (delicious), sweet potato casserole (amazing), Mae's potato casserole (tasty), cheese sticks (good), and the hamburger and fries which was obviously delicious enough that my picky daughter almost finished it - which says a LOT! We were very glad that we'd ordered the "smaller portions" for lunch because it meant we could grab a few of the desserts to go to snack on for our final leg of the road trip and keep enjoying at home. We tried the toffee cake (incredible), peanut butter cake (sinfully good), and the coconut pie (very light and creamy)! We also snagged some items to take home with us from their coolers and I can 100% recommend their pork tamales and summer sausage. If you get the chance to stop here, you won't regret it at all! Delicious, great service, and good portions!

My wife and I were on our way home from Glen Rose, TX and decided to stop by for some breakfast…read moreto-go. The name on Yelp of this restaurant needs to be changed to "2nd Street Social." It's right next door to where the address on the Yelp Page will take you, but it is formerly the "Bakeshop." The staff mentioned to us the former building/house was being renovated to become an AirBnB or something. We were looking forward to patio seating given we had our pup with us, but the restaurant didn't have any, so we opted for drive-thru. The restaurant itself has a small parking lot. The woman who took our order was very kind and informative, as mentioned previously. I ordered an "Iced Latte with White Chocolate" and ordered the "Breakfast Burrito," which contained sausage, scrambled eggs, and cheese. The latte was good, creamy and sweet with the WC flavoring. The burrito was also good, not amazing, but good! I should have ordered 2 of them, it wasn't too big, so keep that in mind. The cheese was melted inside and the sausage was super flavorful. There was a section of my burrito in which the sausage was actually cold, which took me by surprise, but other than that it was good. Pricing was decent for what we ordered. We would come back if we were driving through again!!

Everything was amazing! We typically zip through, stopping for chocolate if we stop. Today, we…read morepopped in for lunch. The chicken carpese burger was amazing! My husband got the hamburger. Not only is the house beautiful, the interior of the house is warm and inviting. Our room was spacious and relaxing. Our bed was so comfortable, it was hard to get out of bed. (In a very good way). The house has a great backyard, with plenty of mature pecan trees that provides plenty of shade so you can sit outside and relax. The property has beautiful landscaping, and really helps you decompress. Danni and Mark manage the B&B, and they live on site. Danni is very friendly and she goes out of her way to make sure everyone is is having a great experience. Danni creates some of the best breakfasts that we have ever had, and her creations could be on any fine dining menu. We met Jeannie, the owner, and she was very nice. We also met some great guests, and one couple lives near us. We really connected and we will be going to lunch with them in two weeks. We will definitely go back and visit on our next trip to Georgetown.
