Cute little place. Stopped in for brunch. Highly recommend the Stupendo Italian sandwich. Yum!!! I had the Fancy Pants Toast, it was ok. Service was great, very friendly.

Very good breakfast, especially when so few options in town. Fast, prompt service and food was good.

Super impressed by this place. By far the best sandwich spot in Brownwood. The Harris is one of the best sandwiches I've ever had.

Went for lunch and enjoyed their sandwiches. Their take in the BLTA was very good and I also really liked their chips

My wife and I were on our way home from Glen Rose, TX and decided to stop by for some breakfast…read moreto-go. The name on Yelp of this restaurant needs to be changed to "2nd Street Social." It's right next door to where the address on the Yelp Page will take you, but it is formerly the "Bakeshop." The staff mentioned to us the former building/house was being renovated to become an AirBnB or something. We were looking forward to patio seating given we had our pup with us, but the restaurant didn't have any, so we opted for drive-thru. The restaurant itself has a small parking lot. The woman who took our order was very kind and informative, as mentioned previously. I ordered an "Iced Latte with White Chocolate" and ordered the "Breakfast Burrito," which contained sausage, scrambled eggs, and cheese. The latte was good, creamy and sweet with the WC flavoring. The burrito was also good, not amazing, but good! I should have ordered 2 of them, it wasn't too big, so keep that in mind. The cheese was melted inside and the sausage was super flavorful. There was a section of my burrito in which the sausage was actually cold, which took me by surprise, but other than that it was good. Pricing was decent for what we ordered. We would come back if we were driving through again!!

Everything was amazing! We typically zip through, stopping for chocolate if we stop. Today, we…read morepopped in for lunch. The chicken carpese burger was amazing! My husband got the hamburger. He was full and said it was delicious. My daughter had the sliders and said they were great. Very very pleased!

DELICIOUS! I actually heard about this place from a Reddit post about places to stop on a road trip…read moreacross Texas and I'm so glad I listened! It's home cooked food, calories-not-monitored, but worth every single bite. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but I knew it was going to be good when we saw the parking lot was overflowing into the grass. Luckily there was still an open table inside and we were welcomed by the sweetest staff and our waitress was just as wonderful. So many things looked good on the menu, but I couldn't resist ending this road trip with another taste of chicken fried steak to compare to Mary's (and they can definitely compete because it was AWESOME)! We also tried the chicken fried chicken (delicious), sweet potato casserole (amazing), Mae's potato casserole (tasty), cheese sticks (good), and the hamburger and fries which was obviously delicious enough that my picky daughter almost finished it - which says a LOT! We were very glad that we'd ordered the "smaller portions" for lunch because it meant we could grab a few of the desserts to go to snack on for our final leg of the road trip and keep enjoying at home. We tried the toffee cake (incredible), peanut butter cake (sinfully good), and the coconut pie (very light and creamy)! We also snagged some items to take home with us from their coolers and I can 100% recommend their pork tamales and summer sausage. If you get the chance to stop here, you won't regret it at all! Delicious, great service, and good portions!
