It was good service with good food! The quesadilla was stuffed with toppings and very flavorful. My friend liked the taco as it was loaded as well. Definitely recommend for a quick spot to eat after drinking or out enjoying downtown. It's next to a speakeasy.
My to go place for a quick casual dinner or a late night snack in downtown. Quality is consistent, portions are fair, and service is fast. I recommend the chicken or steak bowls and tacos and a Corona with lime.
Quick taco spot! Very lowkey trendy! They even have a speakeasy bar! We went just for the tacos and they have 3 options to choose from! $5 margaritas (tiny but loved the skinny!) You can make your order as little or as big as you'd like! Our party got 2 tacos at first and all went back for at least 1 more. Churros were yummy!
On a Saturday night out in Orlando and had some tacos and found this kinda hidden bar right next to it connecting through a door that looks like a cooler ! Service was ok , not great . We ordered a few drinks and one of the order of shots was placed on the very sticky surface top counter and when the bartender placed the drink on top of it and we tried to pick up the shot spilled all over .. and the only thing that the bartender did was asked if we wanted another one but still charged it . Not much customer service there .. but oh well .
Call me a bottle of pop because I just jumped into a soda vending machine (and into a club!). Taco Kat is really cool, with late night food options in addition to their nightlife venue. We got the Frescita with Lalo, which I think is one of my most favorite simple orders of all time. Although early in the night, there was also a good DJ. Totally would go back thru the vending machine.
I've gone here for $2 Tuesdays and love the vibe. You can eat, drink, and be merry for like $20 or less. Haha My go to is the chicken tacos (no sour cream) and passion fruit margaritas. One side of TacoKat is a restaurant and if you walk through the soda machine after 5pm, you'll enter their club/lounge space. The wall around the doorway is decorated in Jarritos soda bottles. There's cute little phrases that scroll across the top of the bar on the club side. The drink menu can be found on a can (of beans?) located at the bar. I can definitely say I love the service and personality of the folks on the restaurant side more than the bartenders in the club.

Decided to try this spot on a Tuesday after seeing it on Instagram. They have an amazing deal on Tuesdays for $2 tacos and $2 margaritas. The tacos did not disappoint! I had the chicken tacos and they were delicious. The meat was cooked well and these were just overall great, basic tacos for the price. The margaritas were nothing to write home about, but I tried the classic, mango, strawberry and passion fruit. They are a great deal for $2, but I wouldn't come here specifically for the margaritas. This place does get VERY busy on a Tuesday so I would advise to arrive early if you want to find somewhere to sit and to avoid a long line to order. Their indoor seating area is small, but they do have some tables outside as well. The girl who took our order could not have been sweeter and was very efficient. She made us feel very welcomed and answered any questions we had. Our food also came out correctly as I had requested some customizations. I would highly recommend this place as it was a great deal for their Tuesday specials and the food was yummy. We'll definitely be back again and will take some time to check out their attached (and "secret") bar next door.
Okay i'm not going to lie..when I first ate at Taco Kat i was NOT a fan. I thought the tacos were mediocre and lacked flavor. BUT I came back to give them another chance and was not disappointed! My friends and I came on Tuesday which meant the tacos (beef & chicken) were $2 as well as the margaritas! I opted for two chicken and one beef taco. The beef taco was a bittt greasy for me but really tasty and filling. The chicken taco was on point though! It was juicy, had lots of flavor, and was packed to the top with chicken and toppings. We added chips and queso and lemme just tell you..delicioussss! You can definitely tell that the chips were made in house and provided the perfect crunch to pair with the soft shell tacos. I liked that there was an option to make your margarita a skinny margarita because that is my preference! I got the strawberry margarita which was great bc it wasn't overly sweet and was really refreshing on a sunny day. For $2 per taco and marg..i have to say I will definitely be coming back!
I always enjoy Taco Kat when I come downtown. This is a speakeasy and bar/club with a quick service taco restaurant attached. I've been to both and it's a great time. This time I came for the food. The prices for food and drink are pretty affordable. They have computers where you self order and then pick up at the end of a counter when they call your name. They have a pretty limited menu, but do a great job with the items they have. They also offer alcoholic drinks too. Keep in mind the bathroom is in the nightclub which can get a bit hectic because there are only 2 stalls in the ladies room and its very cramped in there. There was an issue with the grill and it took a bit longer than usual for me to get my food this time. I waited patiently and eventually got my tacos. They were so kind, they comped my order because it took so long and I hadn't even mentioned the wait. Great place for a bite to eat or a late night snack when going out.

Omg you guys the chicken quesadillas.... I will get this every single time. The margaritas were pretty good but the food.... Chefs kiss! The employee at the counter was so nice and answered all our questions as we had never been there before. The little restaurant was deceiving as it appeared small but when we asked to use the restroom we had to OPEN THE SODA MACHINE as it was a secret door! That was the coolest thing ever. The corn elote stuff was delicious too so don't skip that!

Taco Cat in downtown Orlando was a fun spot to hit especially on taco Tuesday. We went for their $2 taco specials. The Básico are the only tacos available for $2, and you can choose between chicken or ground beef. It's simple no frills and gets the meal done right. Flavor-wise it reminded me of a high quality Taco Bell soft taco. Familiar, satisfying, and easy to enjoy with a slightly fresher and upgraded taste. Don't expect anything gourmet on this menu, but for $2 in downtown Orlando you can't complain. It's a solid deal for a quick and affordable bite. read more
It's so cool in here!!! I've never been to a speakeasy before and I couldn't believe the vending machine was the door. So freaking cool!!! You stand by the machine and they take your id to let you in. The inside looks so awesome! There are jarritos bottles all along the walls and the lights look so cool too. It's pretty dark and loud so you can't really hear much unless you yell. The bathroom is called the litter box lol so cute! There is an actual restaurant as well in the outside and then the vending machine that looks so normal is definitely not. It's a door!!!!! How cool! I didn't try the food but my friends did and it looked ok. I didn't get pictures since they were super hungry lol read more

Love the late night tacos from here after a night out in downtown. There's a lot of options and the tortillas are freshly made onsite. The service is prompt and courteous. This place is a great option before or after the club. Always a party next door as well! read more
While strolling downtown me and my friends saw this cute taco shop we wanted to try! The inside has a warm atmosphere and there's a decent amount of seating. At the self order kiosk I got barbacoa nachos for about $11.50. The tray it comes in is quite small, but the staff pile the toppings and meat pretty high. They're probably one of my favorite nachos so far because of the (I'm assuming) house fried tortilla chips, succulent and flavor beef, and well balanced toppings. The fresh acidic tomatoes do well to cut through the fattiness of the dish. My friends also enjoyed the tacos and $5 margaritas which were in a small cup. Only gripe is the tacos only come with flour tortillas and not corn. Overall a great place! read more

More than a taco restaurant, this place has a speakeasy bar/club to bring more fun to your night life! My friends took me here for me to try their tacos, and I got to say, they were delicious! I had the basic chicken tacos with a strawberry margarita. My drink was ufff, strong like coffee but then I had a passion fruit drink that was delightful. And we had some churros too, with cinnamon, warm and very tasteful. But the highlight of the place was the bar behind the scenes. In order to go to the bar/club or bathrooms, you need to go through a bending machine. That's right! The entrance is camouflage with a drink bending machine making it very unique. The bathrooms are called "Litter Box" which made me giggle, since it matches the name of the place. read more
Counter service style taco restaurant. Quite yummy and flavorful for a decent price. It was about $3.75 per taco with a decent amount of filling, Service was really fast and staff were nice. Very chill ambiance. Nice place to rest and eat food that tastes good. Got the ground beef and barbacoa ($4.75) and both were quite yummy, would recommend. We got it in the Sonora style which was very good. Also got the cheese quesadilla which was a little lackluster and on the small side for $6.50. Maybe it's because we got just cheese but would probably just opt for the tacos in the future. Would come again. A cute little taco shop in downtown Orlando. There aren't many seats inside however it's a pretty quick service place and the food is good. I really like the way the meat was seasoned. The different options on how you want your taco make it easy for ordering. The corn esquites were delicious and the lime really brought out the taste. The employee seemed friendly and went around to tidy up the restaurant between guests. I went on a Tuesday for lunch time and there was a pretty steady flow of people coming in and out. However it only took about 10 minutes for me to get my food. I would recommend getting a couple different tacos so you can try the selection. The tacos aren't necessarily big but they're the perfect size for trying a variety. I definitely want to come back here at night time to check out their secret speakeasy. If you're in the area I would recommend checking this place out. read more

I was in Downtown Orlando (near the library) for a meeting and saw this was nearby and made the executive decision to go and eat tacos. It's a relatively small shop, but the tacos I had were excellent. I had a chicken and a chorizo taco as a snack around 8:30p on a Thursday. Ordering was via a kiosk and it was super easy to navigate. They had nachos and burritos too, and if I was more hungry, I may have tried some other things. 2 Tacos was it. I ordered, waited a few minutes, ate and was out of there in like 10 minutes. The staff was friendly and the food was good. It could have been a little cleaner, but for a hole in the wall taco place, I won't take away a star for that. 4.5 rounded up to 5! So artistic, I love it here. It's in Downtown so I don't come as often as I'd like. Parking can get a little annoying, BUT the food is worth it okayyy! I've only visited during lunch hours but it does have a bar attached to it so I'm guessing that is open during the evenings. It's super cute though! I walk through it to get to the restroom. Their food is priced accordingly and their servings are adequate. The burritos are a good size. Love the aguas frescas - Horchata is my go-to. Seating can be limited depending on how busy it is. Staff is young and friendly. Atmosphere is fun and inviting. Music is playing. read more

Taco Kat is such a fun addition to Downtown Orlando! I really enjoyed my chicken tacos, which had crispy cheese melted on the outside. I also ordered chips and queso, and the chips were freshly made and soooo delicious. The margaritas came with multiple flavor options, and I did the mango. It was only $5, but the serving size was definitely small. All of the servings, including the queso cup, were on the smaller side, which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. Taco Kat has a a speakeasy hidden within the vending machine, which is so fun! It opens around 10PM to reveal an entire hidden club! We had so much fun dancing to the music in the back. My friend and I planned to meet on a Tuesday evening. After 6:00 pm, the metered parking is free so I parked around the corner on Rosalind. Walking in there was a line waiting to order and I realized there was a $2 taco and $2 margarita deal on Tuesday! They have counter service with a simple menu so after you order, you can wait off to the side. The seats inside were full so we sat outside. There were a few taco options and 5 margaritas options. I tried the chicken taco, chips and salsa, a passion fruit margarita and a strawberry margarita. Everything I had was great! At the price it cannot be beat (even on the non Tuesday price)! The food and drinks were also ready quite quickly even though it was busy. I can't wait to try Taco Kat again! read more
Been to Mexico before? Then this place will bring back memories from there! The street style Mexican taco is everything you are looking for. The ingredients are fresh and the meat is seasoned very well. Came here on a Saturday afternoon. We ordered 4 "basico" tacos, two chicken and two ground beef. Paired with 2 Mexican cokes. All together spent $25 for us two! Thank you Kat for the great conversation and showing us the place. It's very unique, decorated well, and you have us convinced to come back during the night life! This place has so much potential and I'm excited for the business to grow. Can't wait to party behind the vending machine soon! * Dress code during the night is strict. "Dress to impress." No opened toed shoes or gym clothes. No cover fee, but do support the business by ordering their delicious foods! Street parking is free every day after 6pm. I recommend finding parking on Central Ave and walk 3-5 mins up the road. read more

I come here frequently for $2 Tuesdays. The price is perfect! My friends and I can have dinner and drinks for $10. The tacos are better than one would expect for $2. I always get the nachos, they're not $2 on Tuesdays but they're more filling so it's worth it to me. In the evenings, they're have a speakeasy type of club that's "hidden". You enter through a secret doorway and there's a full bar and music playing. Overall the vibe is fun and casual. read more

Strolled into this fine establishment on a pleasant Saturday afternoon. Love the user friendly self ordering tablets, there is also a friendly human experience if you want to go that route. I have absolutely nothing to complain about....the Tacos and Margaritas were very tasty, the space was clean and tidy and the price for lunch was great. read more

Came here for cinco de Mayo and it was great! They had $2 margaritas and $2 tacos... so how could you not! The decor for cinco was super cute with balloon arches to commemorate the day. This place got packed really quick, but service was still decent. At first you were able to order off their screen, but later in the night you had to order at the counter. I tried the chicken tacos and the beef tacos; the beef was actually a little spicy (1/5 spice) and then the chicken was just juicy; for $2 a taco you can't expect much, but tbh I was surprised they tasted better than imagined. Now for margaritas, I think I had almost every flavor.. but how could you not. My favorite flavor was the passion fruit margarita and also the mango one; the tajin straw was a nice touch to add. Overall, definitely want to come back to this place. I got to experience the speakeasy as it was open to everybody, but would like to go back for the full experience! read more
