The Básico are the only tacos available for $2, and you can choose between chicken or ground beef. It's simple no frills and gets the meal done right. Flavor-wise it reminded me of a high quality Taco Bell soft taco. Familiar, satisfying, and easy to enjoy with a slightly fresher and upgraded taste. It's so cool in here!!! I've never been to a speakeasy before and I couldn't believe the vending machine was the door. So freaking cool!!! You stand by the machine and they take your id to let you in. The inside looks so awesome! There are jarritos bottles all along the walls and the lights look so cool too. It's pretty dark and loud so you can't really hear much unless you yell. The bathroom is called the litter box lol so cute! There is an actual restaurant as well in the outside and then the vending machine that looks so normal is definitely not. It's a door!!!!! How cool! Ive been to taco Kat a few times and I enjoy it each time. I normally go for some tacos and even when it's busy the wait isn't too long. They also have kiosks for you to place your order. The place is small so there isn't much seating but the turn around time isn't too bad normally. They have have the speak easy through the vending machine which is a cool touch! I've gone here for $2 Tuesdays and love the vibe. You can eat, drink, and be merry for like $20 or less. Haha My go to is the chicken tacos (no sour cream) and passion fruit margaritas. One side of TacoKat is a restaurant and if you walk through the soda machine after 5pm, you'll enter their club/lounge space. The wall around the doorway is decorated in Jarritos soda bottles. There's cute little phrases that scroll across the top of the bar on the club side. The drink menu can be found on a can (of beans?) located at the bar. Okay i'm not going to lie..when I first ate at Taco Kat i was NOT a fan. I thought the tacos were mediocre and lacked flavor. BUT I came back to give them another chance and was not disappointed! My friends and I came on Tuesday which meant the tacos (beef & chicken) were $2 as well as the margaritas! I opted for two chicken and one beef taco. The beef taco was a bittt greasy for me but really tasty and filling. The chicken taco was on point though! It was juicy, had lots of flavor, and was packed to the top with chicken and toppings. We added chips and queso and lemme just tell you..delicioussss! You can definitely tell that the chips were made in house and provided the perfect crunch to pair with the soft shell tacos. I liked that there was an option to make your margarita a skinny margarita because that is my preference! Decided to try this spot on a Tuesday after seeing it on Instagram. They have an amazing deal on Tuesdays for $2 tacos and $2 margaritas. The tacos did not disappoint! I had the chicken tacos and they were delicious. The meat was cooked well and these were just overall great, basic tacos for the price. The margaritas were nothing to write home about, but I tried the classic, mango, strawberry and passion fruit. They are a great deal for $2, but I wouldn't come here specifically for the margaritas. This place does get VERY busy on a Tuesday so I would advise to arrive early if you want to find somewhere to sit and to avoid a long line to order. Their indoor seating area is small, but they do have some tables outside as well. The girl who took our order could not have been sweeter and was very efficient. She made us feel very welcomed and answered any questions we had. Our food also came out correctly as I had requested some customizations. I would highly recommend this place as it was a great deal for their Tuesday specials and the food was yummy. I always enjoy Taco Kat when I come downtown. This is a speakeasy and bar/club with a quick service taco restaurant attached. I've been to both and it's a great time. This time I came for the food. The prices for food and drink are pretty affordable. They have computers where you self order and then pick up at the end of a counter when they call your name. They have a pretty limited menu, but do a great job with the items they have. They also offer alcoholic drinks too. Keep in mind the bathroom is in the nightclub which can get a bit hectic because there are only 2 stalls in the ladies room and its very cramped in there. There was an issue with the grill and it took a bit longer than usual for me to get my food this time. I waited patiently and eventually got my tacos. They were so kind, they comped my order because it took so long and I hadn't even mentioned the wait. Great place for a bite to eat or a late night snack when going out. read more

And we had some churros too, with cinnamon, warm and very tasteful. But the highlight of the place was the bar behind the scenes. While strolling downtown me and my friends saw this cute taco shop we wanted to try! The inside has a warm atmosphere and there's a decent amount of seating. At the self order kiosk I got barbacoa nachos for about $11.50. The tray it comes in is quite small, but the staff pile the toppings and meat pretty high. They're probably one of my favorite nachos so far because of the (I'm assuming) house fried tortilla chips, succulent and flavor beef, and well balanced toppings. The fresh acidic tomatoes do well to cut through the fattiness of the dish. My friends also enjoyed the tacos and $5 margaritas which were in a small cup. However it only took about 10 minutes for me to get my food. I would recommend getting a couple different tacos so you can try the selection. It's a relatively small shop, but the tacos I had were excellent. I had a chicken and a chorizo taco as a snack around 8:30p on a Thursday. Ordering was via a kiosk and it was super easy to navigate. They had nachos and burritos too, and if I was more hungry, I may have tried some other things. 2 Tacos was it. I ordered, waited a few minutes, ate and was out of there in like 10 minutes. My friend and I planned to meet on a Tuesday evening. After 6:00 pm, the metered parking is free so I parked around the corner on Rosalind. Walking in there was a line waiting to order and I realized there was a $2 taco and $2 margarita deal on Tuesday! I also ordered chips and queso, and the chips were freshly made and soooo delicious. The margaritas came with multiple flavor options, and I did the mango. It was only $5, but the serving size was definitely small. All of the servings, including the queso cup, were on the smaller side, which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5.
