    Having never been to Wyoming before a few months ago, I was caught by surprise at the name of this little Cheyenne institution: Taco John's. What the hell is that? John's taco shop? Is that like Taco Bell but not. The thing is that there are apparently like a dozen of these things hanging around Wyoming. Hell the civic center or something is called the the Taco John Center. They have sporting events and such there... Who the hell is Taco John?! Feeling peckish and finally deciding to see for myself what this was all about, I meandered my way into the Taco Johns in downtown Cheyenne. For starters, it was busy as hell. But I will admit the staff was on top of things and moved the traffic along at pace that was quite impressive. The place looked clean and the prices were affordable. I ordered to Tacos and the loaded chicken burrito meal or something like that. They have this wierd but endearing thing where they serve mini hash browns with dipping cheese with all their meals. Interesting, not altogether bad, I suppose. The food itself was.. okay. No complaints. No compliments. I got what I paid for in manner that was polite and casual. Will I return, meh.. depends on how much weight I'm trying to gain, but overall a good experience.

    This is a freaking JOKE!!! if you can't roll a freaking burrito... don't work at a Tex-Mex place. Quality control at any Taco Johns is a god damn joke!!!

    Third or Fourth time I've received a roughed up taco salad from here. WTF is wrong with these people? Not even busy, the only car at the drive-thru.

The worker bee standing outside was extremely pleasant, and so patient when we said we would need to look at a menu before we could order. She basically walked with us to the menu & took our order. What made me quite cranky was the manager came out & gave that wonderful worker bee a hard time - In Front Of Us - because the line wasnt moving along as he thought it should. Regardless of how I feel about the company, I have always received great hospitality from the employees, and that's something I still respect. I came in around 11 a.m., before the lunch rush, with just a small family and one person ahead of me. Even so, it took almost 10 minutes for anyone to take our orders, which felt unusually slow for a place known for its efficiency. The main reason this is a 3-star review (and honestly should've been lower if it wasn't for other positive factors) is how the manager, Wyatt, handled a valid concern from the cashier about the lemonade, specifically which one was diet. She was clearly trying to prevent a mix-up, but instead of taking her seriously, he brushed it off by saying he had "tasted it" and would deal with it later. That kind of response is a red flag, especially considering how dangerous a mistake like that could be for diabetic customers. To make matters worse, he corrected her loudly in front of everyone, which came off as dismissive and unprofessional. I don't want anyone losing their job, but this situation really does need to be addressed, not just for food safety reasons, but to ensure professionalism is upheld, no matter how stressful things get. That said, not all the service was negative. One standout moment was a staff member walking the dining room, checking in with guests, and even bringing a refill directly to a customer so they didn't have to get up. That level of attentiveness is something I haven't seen at other Chick-fil-A locations and absolutely deserves recognition. My order was brought out to me and it was hot and fresh. The dining room was spotless and welcoming, which makes it easier to find a comfortable place to dine in at. There are clear signs of the strong hospitality the brand is known for, but leadership at this location needs to step up to match that standard by prioritizing food safety, respecting their team, and taking accountability for how concerns are handled.
