I love when you can eat food and experience the emotion behind each plate. We ordered tamales to start (OMG...), and shared a taco omakase(WOW!), which is essentially chef's choices of tacos and small plates. Came to the conclusion, I could eat anything on Chef Gilbert's menu. To add: Chef came by the table each time to describe the dish. Fantastic, couldn't take a picture of everything I was so involved in the experience. We will be back ASAP. Thank you for your kind hospitality!

Seriously one of the best taco trucks I've ever tasted. Being from LA, I've tried a ton of food trucks, but this one was the best! Gilbert, the owner, makes his tacos Tijuana-style, and it's so delicious and flavorful. His taco place is next to Howz-it brewery, which is perfect to just grab a drink and eat some tasty tacos. I'm also obsessed with homemade sauce he uses for the tacos - it gives it a great kick! I can't wait to come back to Hawaii just eat the tacos again. Don't miss out!

So glad there are Tijuana-style tacos on the island! Great ambiance, street vendor style like in California, and generous service. Tacos are tasty and got a kick in spice!

Taco Invader does a weekly pop up at Howzit Brewing and we've been dying to try their tacos for a while! The wait has been worth it because these tacos were packed with flavor and some of the best we've been able to find in Hawaii. The carne asada and adobada (marinated pork) are excellent and the corn tortillas taste fresh and homemade. We are hot sauce fanatics and loved their pineapple habanero one. The service was great and their partnership with Howzit is a match made in heaven. It's the perfect place for them to find their semi-permanent home throughout the week. You can check their IG for which menus are featured on different week nights. Can't wait to come back on a Wednesday to try their burritos!

qué rico Chef Gilby honoramos el amor y el cuidado que pones en la comida que preparas. mucho mucho gusto! We got a taco with asada, adobada and chicken, an asada mulita and rice and beans. Thoroughly enjoyed the adobada the most. I love the touch of pineapple he adds, with the pineapple habanero salsa is just next level. I promise the pineapple isn't overpowering in the slightest, just try it and you won't be disappointed. But we both loved the chicken and the asada too such a fan of a little taste of home in my new home. Just look at that cheese pull from the mulita! Get your butts over there, andale!!!

Taco Invader is a dream come true for taco lovers! My husband and I are serious taco enthusiasts, and we've tried every taco spot across Hawaii, but nothing compares to Taco Invader! Every visit, we happily order 8+ carne asada tacos because we're OBSESSED - they're bursting with flavor and absolutely delicious! We also love the adobado tacos, carnitas, and honestly, the entire menu is incredible. Every bite is a flavor explosion! We're so thrilled they've opened in Kaka'ako, and we can't wait to keep coming back. If you love tacos, you HAVE to try this place - it's seriously the best on the island! Trust me!!!!!

Great tacos and good vibes. The Adobada Quesadilla is a must. Definitely a local favorite. Taco Invader never disappoints. The team is always super friendly.

Shrimp tacos are not what I was expecting at all. Crispy, savory, with an incredible sauce. Must try!

It was simple, comforting, and absolutely delicious. My son, who's from California and very serious about his Mexican food, said it was the best bean and cheese burrito he's ever had--which is definitely saying something! The portions are generous, so you definitely get your money's worth, and the spicy sauce has the perfect kick with amazing flavor that takes everything to the next level. If you're craving satisfying, authentic-tasting Mexican food, this place is a must. We'll definitely be back!

The crew inside was welcoming, quick, and the meat was on point. They even came outside to check on us. My son is a picky little dude and started picking onions off his chicken quesadilla. I told him to speak up. The guy smiled, said he had it, and brought out a fresh one with no onions. My son crushed it and even used their mild salsa, which is wild because he thinks everything is spicy. My burrito had great flavor and the asada was legit. I even called home for extra orders so everyone could try it. They loved it too. This spot isn't in our usual area, but I'm glad we found it because it's hard to find solid burritos in Hawaii.

Mexican sounded good to everyone so we picked this spot and we're all very happy we did. Our server was kind and attentive. The place was lovely and decorated with just the amount of fun you expect. Some great photo ops in there. He even told us they were having a mariachi band tomorrow and invited us to come back. The food from the start with nachos and salsa to the end with tres leches was all delicious. I ordered the chorizo queso and it was fantastic. My son ordered the guacamole and it was so fresh and limey. Also delicious. My grandkids shared a quesadilla which was definitely large enough to do so with. My oldest grandson ordered a torte and he loved it. Also a generous portion. My son and I both ordered the grande burrito. He got his wet and I didn't. His was served on a plate and mine came wrapped in foil in a basket. I wish it would have also come on a plate. I like to cut it up to eat and the foil made that difficult to do. We ordered the tres leches to go because we were all so full. Enjoyed it the next day. Three of us could share on piece. It's delicious but very rich.

It took a while to order and to get her attention throughout our time there, but we eventually received everything we ordered. The birria was very tasty, with juicy meat and a crispy shell. The Margarita flights were small, mini tastings which left us wanting more (and yes, we did order more). Regarding the tres leches, it's not the greatest we've ever had but not the worst.
