First off, we are on a road trip, so we know our choices are slim in certain areas. It looked promising, with lots of cars and highway patrols parked outside. Granted, it is like 6:45 a.m. From ordering to actually being served, it was slow. Our waiter was not attentive; her response was flat and in a hurry. Our burrito orders were wrong twice, missing either the beans or the hash browns. Salsa was basically tomato sauce. The pork chop was tasteless and very bland; the eggs were runny; everything had an awful aftertaste. Mind you, the quality doesn't equal the price; we paid $70+ for 3 breakfast plates and 2 burritos. Doesn't look like much when you pull up but honestly this place sells good Mexican and American food. The customer service is pretty good they seem like a nice warm welcoming people. The food is home style. Only thing the burritos are a bit small but they are bomb especially the potato egg and beans. Definitely should swing by here and try if your passing thru. read more

Damn good tacos. Stopped to get gas and asked a local for a good place to get a taco and he said the Taco Grill. For breakfast, they have a burrito bar and make them right next here and then. All good ingredients. Quick in and out. You can also sit down and eat. Well worth the stop if you're hungry for breakfast taco. And they're big. read more

Listen, when you're driving into west Texas on the 10, the options for food and facilities get real slim, real quick. I was fully prepared for a mediocre meal at the only spot open for breakfast for 40 miles. But man, this place really impressed! They serve both Mexican and American meals for breakfast, so we got some delicious burritos (best beans of my life) AND I got a plate of yummy french toast and bacon. The coffee is great too! We were on the road from New Mexico to Houston and needed a full-service restaurant serving breakfast. We were so impressed with Taco Grill! Mary took great care of us. Two of us ordered the Chorizo and Egg plate, served with hash browns, outstanding refried beans, and choice of fresh flour or corn tortillas. My dad had the Western Omelette. We all loved our meals! Terrific coffee and fresh red and green salsas. Tables are spaced appropriately for COVID, there's a walk-up window for takeout, and they were setting up for lunch as we were leaving. Taco Grill was recommended by our motel desk clerk as the best "sit down" breakfast in town. It is fairly small and filled with locals with lots of "happy chatter" between the tables. They serve both American and Mexican breakfasts. My husband had "The Usual" (eggs, bacon, hash browns) and I had the Migas. Both were very good and served promptly. Very good coffee. They also do a brisk "walk-in/carry-out" business at their breakfast burrito bar. Would happily stop here again. read more

I was passing through on my way back to El Paso and stopped to grab a quick bite to go. It was extremely fast! I ordered the 3 crispy taco plate with rice and beans ($7.50). It took approximately 3-5 minutes until my food was ready. The tacos were delicious and had a great flavor. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because the shells were the same as Taco Bell (not a big fan). If they would have been fresh, then this would be a 5 star rating. Great lunch buffet and specials. Just stopped to eat off I-10. I had the Taco Salad on special, and my husband at the buffet of Beef Enchiladas and the works- rice, beans, and salad. Nothing fancy -just good cooking like at home. Quick too because we had dogs in the car on a beautiful sunny Spring day at 61 degrees. read more

She proceeded to say sorry and placed responsibility to young man new there. Very rude!!! I understand that they close at 2 but my family and I were traveling and one family walked in right before mine literally couple of seconds mind you it is at 2:02 doors are not locked and once my family walks in the lady comes and tells us we are closed but didn't tell the people in front of us it was closed. Also the open sign was on and they left the family in front go so we thought it was open but didn't let us go in. If I could put no stars I would hands down!!!!! read more

Nothing special. Got here at 1055 am and was told they wouldn't start the lunch order until 11am. Had to chose either breakfast or dinner. Was not offered chips or salsa. Wait staff was not friendly or interactive. Food was ok, but nothing special. Salad bar was lettuce, tomato, cheese and dressing. Really basic. When it came time for the bill my husband had to go ask for a box and the bill. Credit card machine was slow and had to pay cash. We were passing through town and was hungry. Worst service I ever had in my whole life. after being seated at 10:50 I was told I couldn't order lunch until 11 o'clock. by the time I got my drink it was 1115 and she wasn't even ready to place my lunch order. I didn't receive my meal until 12 o'clock.
