What a secret little gem in a town full of non-authentic food! My husband and I stopped in for a quick bite on our 14-hour drive from AZ to TX because it was literally the only thing around that was not Subway (we already had way too much of this). The service was fairly quick and my husband got a fajita, the guy gave him some chips (maybe homemade, really good and salsa). Decided to stop here on our way to Austin. I don't really like writing bad reviews but this place needs to know how bad their food tastes. I ordered the green chicken enchiladas #6 with extra green sauce, when they brought them to the table there was no extra sauce and were dried from being heated in the microwave. Sauce was nasty! I've had better sauce from HEB, it was watered down with no flavor at all. Rice was okay and beans tasted like canned beans. I ordered two waters for my kids and they charge for the water which is very surprising since they don't charge adult waters.My wife ordered the beef fajitas and were overcooked. It had no seasoning no taste at all. I would rather get something from the store across the highway. I will never stop here ever again. Stopped in traveling from California to Texas and was referred by the gas station attendant. Not too many choices around the area however glad we decided to give it a try. The waitress was quite attentive, even with the number of people in the restaurant. I had Carmen's Quizo, my husband had the Chile burger and kids had the burrito. My dish was delicious and I hear no complaints from them. Of note the burrito is huge and could certainly serve two. The sweet tea was delicious as well.
