Food was great. Get the Molcajete it's terrific. Service was good and friendly. Ambiance was good. Not sure why the reviews are poor.

Flavorless meat and they cancelled my DoorDash after making me wait an hour. Very lame will not be trying again.

Stopped at this locsl eatery location during travel from Monterey CA to Dallas TX ordered food which was a challenge wait staff pretended not to speak English very well. Discovered they spoke fluidly after receiving our tip. (Denver Omelet no onions and Hashbrowns) which took forever to receive. Cook has no concept of food presentation. Omelet like like my 2 year old grandson cooked it. Good thing I don't have an allergy to onions. The were scattered throughout. Taste the wasn't any unless you count the well aged dry ham that was chopped up to oblivion. I began to get nauseous after a few bites. No one in immediate area seems to have any concerns about COVID 19. Buyer beware! read more

My family and I came in tonight for dinner. The first thing we notice that the waitress was by herself. We came in seated ourselves and shortly after we were greeted. Xochiti (I believe that was her name) took our order and we enjoyed a couple pina coloda's (highly recommended). She was running that place on her own and trying her best to get to every table, take phone orders and deliver food to tables. Our order arrived and the food was excellent as always. You all need to give this restaurant a try but be PATIENT..they are trying really hard to serve everyone as well as the cooks cooking the food. So since I went the first time I've visited 4 more times. 5 times total. One 1 out of 5 have been a good experience. The service is horrible. This time we got stale chips. Asked politely to switch is out and she gave out a sigh and said " well I can switch it out but it's gonna be the same. These were made this morning so I don't know what to tell you." I asked if she could switch it anyway. She brings me back new chips and says " it's the same like I said so I don't know what to tell you". Guess what... the new chips weren't stale. When I was ordering she interrupted me in the middle of talking very rudely and looks at my son to take his order I'm guessing she doesn't care about her job or tip. She also happens to be the SAME SERVER I got the two other times that were horrible. The food is a hit of miss. It could be good if it wasn't old. Even the horchata has been given to us with the bottom of the drink so it was all chalk and watered down to taste like sweet water. Also, I'm assuming the server knows she's horrible and provides bad service which is why she doesn't wear a name tag. read more

From near opening time but I still think about it: The orders took over an hour and were messed up, my husband's food was cold, like in a yucky way. Ended up being not charged for our meals but have to say that it appeared the restaurant wasn't cleaned in the process of being changed into the Mexican restaurant. We'd went to the previous restaurant and it really looked like nothing had been cleaned only added a bar and tried to add a lot of seating where there is clearly not enough room. The waitresses were rude aside from our extremely apologetic and inexperienced one. Hard to be mad when it's someone's first night and she can't control the wait. But she could have told us about the food taking so long instead she kept saying it'd be right out. The first waitress I encountered was very rude and people who arrived after us were seated and helped before us due to their mismanagement. The restrooms were filthy and seating was dirty. Was excited to try. Had to ask if we could sit down because nobody sat us or told us to sit down as they repeatedly walked by and ignored us. Can't tell you about the food because nobody came to our table to take an order or offer chips. Completely ignored. Can't see returning. Off to Fito's! read more

I gave them 3 stars instead of 2 stars due to this place just recently opened (but, they do have another location on 22nd). My experience at the one in Vail was not very pleasant. I was seated and given a menu, chips and salsa and my drink came quickly. That was the only good part. I sat and waited and waited to order; the waitress asked people that came in after me if they were ready to order; however, that table requested more time to read the menu. I got the waitresses attention, as my table was close and stated, " I am ready to order" and she replied "okay" and walked off and never came back. She later returned and asked that other table if they were now ready to order and they did. After she took their order, she walked past my table and I again stated, "Excuse me, could you please tell my server that I am ready to order?". She replied "Oh, you didn't order yet?" and then she walked off. After waiting and waiting again, as though I was either invisible or being ignored, the same waitress that I told twice that I was ready to order, finally returned and took my order (There were only 3 occupied tables, so being too busy would not be a good excuse). After ordering, she stated, "Oh, by the way; sorry about that." I ordered 3 Carne Asada Tacos with guacamole and they were okay. She was nice after I finally ordered and she refilled my drink without me having to ask. The Carne Asada were thin strips that were not very seasoned or tender. The rice and beans were fine. I will probably try this restaurant again (order something different) in about 6 months after they have been open for a while to see if the service and food is better than my first visit. For now, I will go elsewhere for my favorite Mexican food. read more

The service, food, and price were all over the top! We started off with the chips and dip and a side of guacamole which was thoroughly enjoyable, with a cold beer and a refreshing margarita. We had the tacos and sopes and they were absolutely exceptional! We didn't even notice the wind howling across the patio, it was such an enjoyable experience. We will be back. read more

I liked this new place and was looking forward to going back for breakfast but they changed their hours already in just the few short weeks they've been open. It was open at like 8am last time I was there and now it's changed to 10am so I spent my money across the street at Fitos. read more

Great food indoor and outdoor sitting. Family friendly. They also make kids meal and adult drinks.

The food is very good here, some of the best in Vail which really isn't saying much considering the limited choices. This restaurant is poorly managed and the servers are not good. They have no training or don't care about service or both. If you decide to go, set your bar low for service and you'll be fine. If you go right when they open, don't expect food to be fast. This place needs a managers attention fast and train your servers on the drink menu if you're going to offer a drink menu. I'd give this place 1 star but the food is very good which is the only reason I gave it 3. read more

The food is very good. The service needs to match and currently doesn't. To be fair a lot of the folks are new but the service we received was not up to par. Our food arrived well after 2 tables that arrived after us were served and we were told previously that there alcohol licensing was to be sorted out weeks ago and it is still not, so I was unable to order a margarita that I was looking forward to. We visited this spot while on our way to Colossal Cave, it was one of the last spots on the way to the cave. Upon entering the place was pretty dirty, lots of food on the floor and dirty tables. It was pretty full though and we were limited on time so we stayed. I know that COVID and a lack of people applying for jobs probably left the place short staffed. 5 stars to the two nice waitresses, they did their best. 1 star for the drinks, the water glass had red crumbs floating in the bottom of the glass and the tea was very cloudy. 0 stars for the chips and salsa, the salsa, which is like water smelled so terrible and tasted the same, it may have actually been rotten/spoiled, the chips weren't that great either. 3 star food (being a little generous) the meat was excellent but the rice and beans were not, ordered shredded beef tacos. The food did come out quickly which was nice. This place is probably suffering due to staffing issues, hopefully they can turn things around. Maybe we just ordered the wrong item, will try another place next time. read more
