I got a pollo super burrito and despite a bit of saltiness it was actually really delicious. A great size with proportionate fillings. Sure there are other places with cheaper prices or even larger super burritos, but I think it was worth it. I do wish I had more cilantro in my burrito, there were literally only a few pieces. I went through the drive through Sunday July 2025, for a burrito (regular) almost $15.00 for a regular burrito ? Really. The cashier was acting odd and handed me a defaced 5 dollar bill. I checked my food because of her behavior and found my burrito to be loaded with onions to the point that no one would want to consume the overpriced burrito. I was at home at this point and I'm not driving that far to confront the people at the facility. Food isn't good enough for cost and I see why the ratings are very low. Not going back. First visit to this location during my lunch hour. Pulled into the parking lot and they were already about six cars in the drive-through line. The drive-through took much longer than I anticipated based off the name taco express and having a drive-through. I ordered the Asada french fries which were really really good I like how they chop up the meat really fine and top it on the french fries. This would be something that I would order again but there was also some other items on their menu that I would be interested in trying during my next visit. I did notice while I was in the drive-through that their business hours changed and they are no longer open on Sundays. Along side cash and credit and debit cards they also accept Apple Pay. I was in the area to drop off my car and saw Taco Express. A taqueria with a drive thru, you usually don't see that . You can only order by going through drive thru, makes sense with pandemic. There were 5 cars ahead and it takes awhile but it's cause it aint fast food. The carne asada fries are good and comes with small drink. I think it would be better with nacho cheese but the real stuff isn't bad. The super burrito with pastor was tasty, it was really filling. I love that a taqueria has drive through and it's so convenient for me not to get my wheelchair or walker out so that's the plus but I have been looking for a really good steak fries and this place wasn't it. I had to put on some of my homemade pick de Gallo just to bear it. Was looking at the "deals" but there isn't any price so how would you kno if it really was a deal unless it means everything is $1.99 anyways the deals aren't even that great. They have recently changed their menu. All their food is super expensive even the 'Today's Special' and they have less menu items. Most of the specials are now $9.99. I would stop to get food about 2-3 times a month to get the 2 chicken enchilada plate/combo or breakfast burrito. Had poor service here, could not get my order right twice, then when I called them on it they DID NOT make it right,ask if she understood me and was told that was racist, told them how wasn't racist; I would have said it to anyone regardless of racist. The food was OK, they ran out of $1 tacos on taco Tuesday. The quesabirria taco was soggy, but crunchy and did not come with a side of birria sauce for dipping but the flavor was good. The food took about 15-20 minutes to get after I ordered, so it's def not fast food. The service was average, not friendly but not rude. I love this place! It's Fairfield's hidden gem. My husband and I joke that we hope it doesn't get franchised because the quality and taste has been so amazing. No more chipotle for us. I usually get the super burrito which has guacamole (not extra), your choice of meant, cheese, beans, and rice. It is stuffed to the BRIM. The horchata is very good and very sweet I must add. I haven't had horchata with such a strong cinnamon sugar taste. It's a Cinnabon in a cup. They have a drive through that has been very efficient with orders. The restaurant it's self looks a little dated from the outside but don't let that stop you from going in. I promise you'll be back more than once. read more

Finally decided to give Taco Express a try since we were in the area. There are a few other establishments in the area that basically serve the same menu (won't mention those establishments names since this is a review of Taco Express). Prices were consistent with other establishments. The one thing that stood out to me the most was the quality of the ingredients and the portion size. Compared to a couple of the other establishments in the area, the quality of the ingredients at Taco Express seemed a tad better. Also, the portion size seemed to be larger as well. Not sure if it's due to the economy or not, but some of the other establishments in the area have started to skimp on their portion sizes. I ordered the carne asada super nachos and I was satisfied with it and it was very filling. Will definitely come back and try other items on their menu to compare to other establishments. I used to love this place. It was close to home with a drive thru. Service is quick. But the last 3 times I've gone here, first it was a burrito with carnitas, second was a Quesabirria tacos and third was a carne asada street tacos. And all three times, gave me really bad stomach pain, diarrhea, and vomiting. Third time's the charm. Never going back here. I hope a health inspector checks them out. So it doesn't say anywhere how many tacos are actually included when you order the "Street Tacos" and I didn't see any reviews mentioning it. I did however, see other people's photos and it looked like they had at least 3. Mine came with 2. So I'm not sure if that's normal or what. They were good though. The Super Nachos were kinda disappointing though. Lot of food, but the "shredded chicken" I ordered in it was not actually shredded, they were pretty big chunks that you can see in the photo I'm including, half the cheese wasn't even melted, and most of the chips were so buried, that by the time I unearthed them, they were all limp and fell apart.
