If you are looking for a taco guy to cater your party, Taco El Botanas is it! We booked them for my son's birthday party and we were beyond pleased with the service and the food. The meats were so flavorful and the salsas were on point! Everyone went back for seconds and we got tons of compliments about the food. Leo and his team showed up an hour early to set up and stayed after the contracted time to make sure everyone had enough food. They even packed up the extra food for us to take home. They were a pleasure to work with and we will definitely be using Taco El Botanas again in the future. read more

Difficult to get in contact with and poor communication. I contacted them to cater my event for 50 people and although the quote provided seemed fair, there were some issues with the logistics of the location (not their fault) that still needed to be worked out. They assured me that they'd work with me so we can figure out a solution but once everything was straightened out and I was trying to get in touch with them for 2 days, they finally told me they had already booked with someone else?! Needless to say I was very disappointed and was stuck starting my search for a new caterer all over again. They definitely need to work on their communication, I was excited to try them out. read more

We hired Taco El Botanas for my daughter's birthday party and we couldn't have been happier! Not only was the food absolutely delicious, but they also offer the best prices. They handled all the set up and clean up and provided plates, napkins and utensils. They made it so easy for us! Best of all, they are the sweetest husband and wife team. Such hard working, good people. They will always be my first call whenever we need to feed a lot of people! read more

In the past several years My annual Fiesta de Los Poodles has been served by several different Taqos El Botañas was among the best, and I will absolutely use them again. The price for 75 people was right, the food was fresh, delectable and served on time. They even arrived early and stayed late. Professional, kind and prepared! I could not have asked for more. The guests loved the food and there was more than enough left over for breakfast the next morning. Never once did I worry about what they were doing. 100% confidence and a job well-done. Thank you, Leo and Elva. Now a word about the poodles. Let's be clear. Poodles reign supreme here at Poodleville, and this company did not miss a beat. Plus they closed the gate after themselves coming and going, so double points for that. read more

If you're looking for a business to cater your event with delicious food and outstanding service, Taco El Botanas is your place. I spoke on the phone with Leo and it was very direct regarding food choices, options for extras, and pricing. He then asked me to email him, I sent an email with my address, amount of people, choices for meats, and he responded quickly with a confirmation. The day before the event I spoke with him and confirmed one more time. He informed me he would be sending 2 of his team members. They arrived early and set everything up. I mean, they were quick and professional and so friendly. Their carne asada, al pastor, and pollo were flavorful and juicy. I loved how the al pastor had pineapple! Their salsas were delicious and we had plenty of limes, onions, cilantro and quesadillas, as well as rice and beans. We had over 50 people and we still had food left over. They will leave the left overs, so make sure you have gallon ziplock baggies or Tupperware for storage. I only wish I could remember their names, because I would thank them again and request them as well. The company cleaned up and left. Taco El Botanas has a loyal customer. read more

Leo and his wife catered a taco party for me recently and it was beyond excellent. They arrived an hour and a half before the party started and had everything set up before the first guest arrived! I had requested tacos (3 meats), dirty dogs, nachos, taquitos, street corn, fruit cups, and churros, and everything was delicious! I received so many compliments that night and even days after. Leo is also very accommodating and stayed past the agreed upon time to help serve some late arrivers. I highly recommend them for any party or event you plan to throw!!! read more

Had a party on Saturday for my sons birthday. They came on time and everything was set up. I was expecting Leo to cater but his sister came instead. I thought everything was going well until I see a new face I've never seen before popped out of No where. Assuming its Leo, he pulls me aside and says we need to talk. He starts by saying he had to drive all the way from Inglewood because his sister says there was waaaaay more than 50 people at the party which I had told him there would be. He says he stood at the door and "clicked" 75 people................. I had a guest list. There was definitely NOT 75 adults. I had 36 adults and 20 kids. When I say kids they range from 1 to 10 years old and there were 7 teenagers which I included in the adult count. He also said that he doesn't appreciate me telling him there's 50 at the party cause he would look like a "fool" when he runs out of food....... I ordered for 50. I expect food for 50. Who says he would look like a fool? Plus, when they left we had tons of chicken and pork leftover! It was the carne asada that was gone. Anyway he left a very bad taste in my mouth with that confrontation. I also counted 36 people in front of him and he says lots of people left..... 34 adults left my party in the middle? Then he corrects himself and says that some people ate 15-20 tacos and it's suppose to be 10...... So which is it? 75 people attending and me saying 50 or is it that some people had bigger appetites? I had 4. I will not be calling them again and will be calling another company. read more

Tacos El Botanas is great! Leo catered a party for us and was very proffesional and accomodating in going through everything we wanted for the day of. He came to our home (the site of the party) and walked the property to figure out the best place for him to set up and serve our guests. The day of he showed up (ready to be shocked) EARLY (15-20 min) and was ready to go. We had arranged for carne asada, chicken, quesadillas and veggies. He came through with all the condiments you expect on your taco. Everyone was very pleased with the food. He brought several different salsas that were all very tasty. We had considered getting our own salsa cause we likes it spicey but he ahs one that met our high expectations. We had booked the party for 60 people and had very close to that number show and there was ample food. Maybe too much as we will be eating carne asada and chicken left overs for the next week. We will be using Leo for all future events cause for the price you cant beat having someone show up to your home and cook fresh food for everyone while you actually get time to enjoy your party, or stress about the multitude of other things. Bottom line, reliable, professional, affordable and tasty. read more

I truly don't understand all the 5 star reviews. I sadly trusted Yelp on this one and was very disappointed with the quality of the food. I got comments that the taco stand I used the last time was way better. I will say that Leo was easy to schedule with and showed up on time. There was a bit of attitude with my guests and was annoyed by that. But mostly was disappointed with the taste of the food. read more

I just held a party on 4/22/17 and am 100% pleased with Taco El Botanas. The place I held the party at was a "propane free" venue and Leo easily made adjustments to ensure that I still had the "taco guy" style party. His employees showed up EARLY and were all set and ready to go long before the party started. They were professional and worked hard and quick to limit any lines for my guests. The food was DELICIOUS, my guests were blown away and I was sent home with a TON of leftovers. I will recommend this business to my friends and use him again! What an amazing evening it was... not once did I worry about the food.. thank you TACO EL BOTANAS! read more

Leo catered my daughters 1st birthday party on 4/1 and I forgot to write a review. The food was fresh, tasty, and cooked onsite. The price for 50 people was well below the taco caterer websites that come up when you google them. Since the party was about 1/3 kids, we had tons of leftovers. Leo was a super cool guy. He actually stayed longer than the agreed time and did not charge extra and would not take extra money when I offered. read more

Tacos El Botanas did the catering for my daughters first birthday party. The food was fantastic, right on time and affordable. We had around 50 people and everyone (adults and children) loved it! Leo was great and we definitely recommend Taco El Botanas & will use again for future parties! read more

I was coming in from out-of-town and needed to arrange for catering for a college graduation party we were having for our daughter. Leo was SO easy to deal with throughout the process. Very responsive initially and throughout the planning. Since I'd never met Leo and had only learned of him through Yelp, this gave me confidence that he was a pro and would be reliable - which he was. The food was really delicious. Our guests loved it, and they loved Leo and his wife too. Our guest list numbers kept changing, Leo was fine with that. I ordered less food than recommended and there were still A TON of leftovers. Taco El Botanas is the kind of company you want to deal with when you're looking for a caterer for a casual event - delicious food, very very reasonably priced, easy folks to deal with and to have at your party. Can't recommend them more highly! read more

Taco El Botanas provided catering for my low-key backyard rehearsal dinner and it was great. They arrived on time to set up and provided delicious food at a really reasonable price. There was so much food leftover despite everyone going for seconds and thirds, plus they had add-ons such as churros, bacon-wrapped hot dogs etc. They bring all of their paperware as well making it really easy for any host or hostess; all you need to provide is the venue, the drinks and the guests. Leo was very professional and responsive. Though they don't have a website, it was easy from the yelp reviews and talking on the phone with Leo to figure out what to order. read more

Tacos El Botanas is fantastic! They catered my son's 1st birthday party and everyone in attendance was blown away by how great the food was. Leo was so accommodating and friendly. He came to our house to check out the space prior to the event and arrived early the day of to get set up and start prepping the food. The price is comparable and in many cases more reasonable than many other vendors out there. You can't go wrong with Leo and Tacos El Botanas. read more

Taco El Botanas is the way to go if you want a taco stand for your event. The owner, Leo, is as professional as they come, and he makes sure everything is perfect for your event. Leo sent two people to begin serving at our event and they were great. They were extremely friendly to our guests. We had tacos, quesadillas and bacon wrapped hot dogs for our baby shower. Everyone loved the food. We had a baseball theme so I ordered the bacon dogs for all the guys. Turns out even the girls were fans of the hot dogs. We went with Asada, al pastor and chicken tacos. All were excellent, but my favorite was the al pastor. I will be using Taco El Botanas in the future and will recommend this great business to everyone I know. read more

Very frustrating experience! After having a phone conversation with Leo about catering for my son's 1yr birthday party, I agreed to hire him for the event. I asked him if the date was open and he confirmed it was. I told him to reserve it for my event. The next day, I sent a follow up email confirming the reservation and asking about the specifics of the packages. He promptly responded by addressing some of the questions but not all, I sent a follow up email and he didn't respond for couple days. He finally responded almost a week after I reserved the date with him stating that he doesn't have availability anymore on the date I requested. I planned everything around his confirmation of the reservation and now I have to start from scratch. NOT DEPENDABLE AND DISHONOST, BE AWARE! read more

I hired them for my daughter's graduation party this past weekend and they were a hit! They showed up two hours before the party for prep and set up and stayed for 3 hours. We had the carne asada, al pastor, chicken tacos, and the bacon wrapped hot dogs. All the meats were very tasty! When they were done, they cleaned up after themselves, as if they were never there, and packed up all the left over food in trays for us to keep. Will be hiring them again in the future! read more

We used Leo again and he gave us the option of styrofoam or bamboo plates. Yay for being green, Leo!

Leo catered my sister in law's graduation party and the food and service were fabulous! All of our guests were blown away at how flavorful the food was and Leo and his crew were professional and friendly. They arrived early to set up and cleaned everything up before they left. The all you can eat chicken and carne asada tacos as well as the quesadillas, rice and beans fed all of our 40 guests with lots left over that Leo generously gave us at the end. Everything was very reasonably priced too. I highly recommend Taco El Botanas and will definitely be using them again in the future! read more

I hired Leo for my wife's 35th birthday party and I am glad I did. Leo was very professional and responded to every email in a timely matter. Him and his wife showed up two hours before the party started, to get set up which I thought was awesome! The food was DELICIOUS. We had three meat choices. Carne asada, chicken and pork with pineapples. For side dishes we had rice and beans. The beans were AMAZING! He also made complimentary quesadillas. The only thing I wish could've been different was the tortillas for the tacos. They were really small and thin which caused them to break as you were eating them. If the tortillas would've been doubled up it would've been perfect. I would definitely hire Leo again and I know for a fact quite a few of our guests will use him in the future. read more
