I wish they could've had a sign of options available or mentioned to the guests the options available. The guest that did try the quesadillas said they were good! I went out to get 2 tacos. Miguel's assistant served me with a smile. The set up was nice! I had to ask for the jalapeños and sides. The condiments should have been on a self serve table for easy guest access. We had watermelon and Jamaican juice drinks included in our menu. The drinks were delicious but warm. A few guest mentioned they went out for seconds and was told to come back. Miguel and his team member were on a break. The guests mentioned they wasn't sure if Miguel and his associate were angry because they bothered them on their break. We wasn't informed of the break time schedule during our talks. 2 hours at $750 dollars was the cost. We didn't get any leftovers. **Thanks for the response. I was very busy hosting , basic cleaning, bathroom cleaning, refilling drinks, checking the indoor food tables and taking out trash etc the entire event day. I barely ate anything the entire event. As I mentioned in the review I heard about the rice running out when I first arrived at the venue. I didn't hear about everything else until after the event. You were already gone for the day. It was no need to bother you by calling, messaging or texting as the event was over. The hubby mentioned you text him a picture of my review. No need to text him! El Taco Loco was very professional, Cindy was the person I spoke with to make the reservation and she was very pleasant to talk to and explained what was going to be served and promised me that there would be plenty of food, and she was correct. The food was really good, The salsas were very tastie, and the rice and beans were really good. The person serving the tacos said that people eat lots of tacos and that's why they ran out. With the people that showed up there should have been 13 tacos per person. Only 4 people were able to eat between 12 and 16 tacos, the rest of them stayed around 7... with some people having only 3 after they saw that the taco guy was mixing the meat and vegetarian tongs. I asked him to use separate tong as there were vegetarian people in the party. He said he didn't have any so I have him one my own tongs....and he still kept using the same one for meat and veggies. The tacos themselves were pretty delicious, which is a shame as I wouldn't be booking them again for another party. The beans and rice were not that good. Salsa and other sides were good. They were able to set up and and remove everything without much need of assistance or disturbance. They also were able to accommodate us not being at the house while they set things up which was nice of their part. Cost was $500

I have hired seasoned taco caterers before and was disappointed thus I was searching for a new one. Chef Alberto caught my eye on Yelp, I liked his story about starting his own business while going to school. He answered all my questions upfront regarding his catering experiences, his food safety certification and what services he offered. I liked his taco menu with ala carte add on options, thus I was able to add on 25 bacon wrapped hotdogs for the kids and two jugs of delicious strawberry lemonade and watermelon water. It's nerve wrecking selecting the right caterer because the food is the main focus at all parties. You can't just run out and whip up hot full service meals for 50 adults last minute if the caterer drops the ball. Chef Alberto promised to arrive 2 hours prior to service time. On the morning of the party, he texted me 2 hours & 15 minutes before service time that he was already at the venue and setting up. Not only was he on time, but he was early! Talk about a huge weight off my shoulders. The food (3 meats, salsas, all the fixings, beans, rice, hot tortillas) was delicious, guests were going back for seconds and thirds! The set up and presentation was beautiful and very professional. He provided all the napkins, utensils, plates and cups but I chose to use our party supplies since ours colorfully matched the decorations. LOL! :O) We even had some leftovers to take home! All questions were answered promptly via email and we took care of the payment securely online. On the day Christian was very communicative and told us his ETA. He arrived when he said he would. He and his nephew were so kind and warm. The food was EXCELLENT. He had both a charcoal grill and a flat top so he got an excellent charcoal sear with all that flavor and then finished on the flat top. We had carne asada, pollo asada, and al pastor. My personal favorite was the al pastor but they were all top tier. We had the option of mulitas, burritos, or tacos and the plates came with rice and beans. We also had three kinds of aguas frescas: passion fruit, pineapple, and cucumber lime. Everybody was talking about how much they loved the food.
