We used Keep It Simple for a big holiday party and let me start by saying, the food was just excellent! Actually, "excellent" doesn't even begin to do it justice. We got so many compliments to the chef and all of my guests were impressed with the quality of each dish. Bravo to the chef! Secondly, Jennifer was wonderful to work with and made things very easy for me, even though the party was fairly last minute, and I made several changes to the menu. Jennifer's responsiveness was always prompt and she was able to customize certain dishes to be gluten free as well. I am an Activity Director for a High School and we hired this catering service for a Homecoming. We were very excited for this catering service. We ordered over $2,000 worth for a Taco Buffet. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing for all of us. The tacos we ordered were not authentic Mexican tacos, and had various problems. Some tortillas were dry, some were wet, and when our students made the tacos out of them, they broke. A lot of them were mushy and cold too. Aside from that, the meat itself was also very disappointing. Not only did it feel cheaply made, the Carne Asada was almost unrecognizable both in taste and texture. The seasoning was also very poor for both the meat and the rice. The rice was also dry. Meals not only tasted like cardboard, but were visually unappealing. It was a shame that an almost perfect home-coming event had a terrible experience with the food. read more

Decided to throw a private family party for a year's worth of uncelebrated covid birthdays. Trying to make reservations at a restaurant is extremely difficult due to limited space and social distancing. K.I.S Event Catering went above and beyond providing great service and delicious food in the comfort of our own home. We had the surf and turf with a side salad and ceviche. Everything was flavorful and the ceviche had a generous portion of shrimp. If you're looking to have a gathering this would be a great option for the "new norm". read more

I can not say enough good things about Jennifer and Keep It Simple Catering. A true pleasure to work with. Very responsive. She got back to me with my phone calls and e-mails right away. We had a wedding in Pacific Palisades and since I live in Orange County, I didn't know any caterers in that area so I went solely off her yelp reviews. I was quite nervous using a vendor that I didn't know and had no feedback from friends or family. She was an absolute delight, and the food was terrific. They went above and beyond in their service all of the servers and the chef we're just wonderful. Her prices very fair and less than the other quotes i had received. I work for a studio in Burbank and we hosted an event for a non-profit organization. We cannot recommend Keep It Simple Catering enough. Jennifer was extremely helpful as well as professional. She helped us plan our menu perfectly. And even though we changed our minds about menu items (with only days until the event, by the way) Jennifer was flexible and utterly cool about it. The food was excellent. We opted for chicken sliders, veggie pot stickers, meatballs and stuffed mushrooms - and they did NOT disappoint. The guests were going back for seconds and thirds. The event was a success and we have Keep It Simple, Jennifer and Tom to thank for keeping our guests happy and full! Not to mention, we were asked by several of the attendees who our caterer was - even so much as asked for Jennifer's contact info. (Side note: Jennifer & Tom were kind enough to provide a tasting for us a week before the event. We tried the tacos and they were great too!
