Taco Del Sol was a random stop for 3 hungry people fresh off a flight and needing something quick and easy. Not only did we get that, we got delicious burritos that were filling, satisfying and future repeat customers. Everything was perfection, yet simple and easy. You order it, they make it on the spot and then you happily stuff your face with deliciousness. Service is fast and friendly. It's a small place where you can sit and eat or take it to go. There are only a few tables so I think the intention is mostly to go. And to bring it home, the prices are fantastic for what you get! We were looking forward to tacos and what we got was store bought taco shells that were soggy and nasty by the time we got home and ate them (we live 5 minutes away). Service was fine, and the tacos have potential but they have so much sauce that it became a soggy mess that was falling apart by the time we sat down to eat. If you want a solid burrito, Tacos del Sol has it. Finding Mexican food up here can be challenging, but I really enjoyed it and the service was great. The meat is so close to perfect, that's my only thing. Salsa is good and fillings. read more

Really enjoy coming here. Quick, friendly, fresh and tasty. There's not many options in this neck of the woods but this place is one of the better ones. I really like getting the 12" fish burrito with the awesome white sauce. I also get it spicy with black beans and supreme--so it has guacamole. I usually have half a burrito left to take home and it actually does pretty well heated up the next day. I also like to get the horchata and my little boy gets the quesadilla or burrito for $1.50. You can not go wrong with the kids food here. For a burrito you can put anything you want in it for your kid for the same price. It's pretty awesome. This place is definitely the spot to be for lunch and sometimes you'll have a tough time finding a place to sit. read more

I've made a few attempts to eat here but the line is always out the door. Fortunately today it was around 2:30 and no line..... Yes! Upon entering the menu is on a chalk board and very limited which I find great so there's not so many choices. I was getting a late lunch for myself and hubby after another trip to Home Depot, so It was a shot in the dark what he wanted since he was loading our truck. I know he loves fish and they offer fish tacos and burritos so I knew I might have a chance of getting something he likes. I ordered him the fish burrito 12" they have a 14" option but I think 12" would suffice. I also chose a bean & cheese burrito for myself and it said lots of cheese yay! One person assembles the burrito and the next one garnishes it, so I had the choice of sauce and I went with the medium green cilantro sauce and good thing it was delicious. Hubby's burrito consisted of a choice of pinto, black or refried beans I went with pinto, and it had a piece of fish battered and fried, cabbage and white sauce. I also had them put the green cilantro sauce on too. You can order this supreme which is an addition of sour cream and guacamole but I know he doesn't like all that stuff. But when she went to roll up the burrito it was huge!! And my bean and cheese burrito was almost as big!! Thankfully my husband said it was awesome and mine was equally as good we'll definitely be back. Now I know why there's always a line. read more

Save your time and money! The pick de gallo has no flavor but watery tomatoes. The green sauce doesn't even resemble verde sauce. If you're going to be brave and still go, don't opt in for the ground beef it's disgusting- literally Taco Bell is better. Stick with the pulled pork that was about the only thing I ate that was good. The "crispy" corn taco shell - yeah that was a joke of epic proportion! It was completely stale. Update: bf was in the mood for Mexican. He got a chicken Mission supreme burrito. He asked for extra hot sauce. He could taste a little heat at first, but the hot sauce is too runny, so it all drained out. My fish taco was drowning in the white sauce, and some of the fish was too hard to chew. We got a side of chips and salsa, which were not good - chips are cheap bulk quality, and the salsa is just bland watery tomato mush. Overall, their ingredients are fresh, but very much lacking in flavor. read more

Pretty impressed. 2 guys working their shift last Friday night and while standing in line I witnessed both employees being really conscientious of not only their food preparation, but their interaction with customers. They kept running out of fish and apparently weren't aware that the 40 days of LENT had begun. I ordered 3 Fish tacos and I scarfed 'em down like clock work. The mango habanero hot sauce was tasty without any burn. Bathroom could have been cleaner as well as the restaurant. I could tell these guys were trying to keep up and didn't realize the Lent rush was coming. TDS is fortunate to have these two employees. As a business owner and having just walked of another Mexican establishment in Hutton Ranch, my experience at TDS was refreshing and made to order. One word, GREATFULL! read more

The restaurant looks like a mom and pop authentic place online but ... I was disappointed. The shop was clean and the workers were nice, however the food was incredibly bland. I ordered a burrito and they put far too much liquid based items in it and it lost its structure about 1/2 way through eating it. The tortillas and chips were store bought and tasteless, I was hopping for in store made products. The salsa should not be allowed to be called salsa as I never tasted it and I ordered hot. Overall, I just feel like a ate a whole lot of nothing because the food ran together and had no varying flavors. I am from Texas and was hoping for authentic Mexican food since I have been out of town for a few weeks. I shouldn't be surprised though as we are in the middle of Montana. read more

The fish burrito from this location is what I always get. I absolutely love love love the white sauce and everything in the fish burrito. I haven't had much else from this location but it is small but easy to get your food quick and it is fresh. This location is kind of hidden in the Home Depot parking lot, next to a Subway. It is the same parking lot that has Target and TJ Maxx and Bed Bath and Beyond except it is a very big parking lot so it is much closer to Home Depot realistically. This is good fast mexican food and the price isn't bad for what you get either. It is a sure thing with the burritos I have never had a bad experience but I have had bad nachos at one of the locations in Missoula. read more

I checked online to see what time this place was open and it said 8 o'clock I rolled in at 6:59 and walked up to the door there was a piece of paper on the door that said the hourhad changed and they close at seven I walked in at exactly 7 o'clock and was promptly told to leave because they were closed even though that they still had customers and people were just getting their food. I have never been so insulted by the way this woman talk to me when she asked me to leave she could not have been any more rude it was 7 o'clock on the dot definitely still had time to throw together like a burrito quickly, but definitely no need to be so rude and abrasive. read more

Interesting menu and kitschy decor. I wanted to like this place more than I did. On the recommendation of another Yelper, I skipped my normal choices and upgraded to the carne asada. This was an extra $1.50. On the plus side, it was tender. However, the amount of meat was a bit skimpy and it was very bland. I pulled out a couple pieces of the carne asada and ate them by themselves. Other than a faint note of five spice powder (???) there was no real flavor. No salt, no pepper, no garlic, no onion, no cumin, no oregano, and nothing spicy. The complete lack of flavor was rather weird. The black beans were similarly flavorless. I felt like someone was trying to give me black beans straight from the can, rather than something cooked from scratch and properly seasoned. For me, however, the nail in the coffin on this burrito was the rice. It was very similar to an Uncle Ben's converted rice. Each grain was perfectly separated from the others. The rice also was completely neutral in flavor. If not for the hot salsa I had them put on the burrito (which was pretty good) I would have thought I was eating this burrito during a severe head cold. The staff were friendly and customers seemed to enjoy their food. But, for me, this was not as good as an average Chipotle or Qdoba offering. read more

Went back for a second trip and was really surprised at how mediocre it was. My burrito was okay, not great. Kind of a sloppy mess. My wife ordered nachos with one easy request - no sour cream. Well it wasn't that easy so when they mistakenly put sour cream on it they "scraped it off" rather than just starting over and doing it right the first time. I'd been here before and really liked it, left this time with my wife asking me why I thought it was worth bringing her there. We won't return. read more

A buddy knew I was heading out to Kalispell, Mt. and told me I had to stop here and try there fish burrito. I was a little iffy since I'm from the PNW and we have some places that serve up some killer fish tacos and burritos, but I thought I would give it a try. As far as the fast food worlds take on fish tacos and burritos go, this is the best I have tried! Got a 14' fish burrito supreme, which was TOO MUCH! Holy bat burritos Batman! This thing was huge! about 7' diameter and almost about 10' long! Whatever the white sauce is they put on it is pretty damn good, the fish is just your average run of the mill frozen Atlantic cod that they bake, but put all together is a good eat. The place is small, doesn't have a lot of seating, and isn't the most put together restaurant. But it's cheap, taste pretty good, and fills you up! Paid $6 for this mammoth burrito! If your ever in Kalispell give it a try. read more

Hands down the best Mexican in the Flathead Valley (not that there are many contenders). Cool vibe, but seating is very limited when it's busy. Even then, expect fairly quick and friendly service. Ingredients always taste fresh, and the food has consistent quality. The 12" burrito is usually plenty of food, but even the 14" is priced very reasonably. As others have said, the fish supreme is probably the best item. read more
